Kishin stood outside the Hinoki Theater, a grand and ornate building with towering columns and a gleaming marquee. The lanterns looked pretty at least. As he stepped inside, he was enveloped by the scent of fresh popcorn and the sound of music emanating from the stage.

Weirdlock Jones had given him a task: to keep watch over the theater and report any suspicious activity. Kishin had worked with Weirdlock in the past and knew that the man had a reputation for being a shrewd investigator. He trusted Weirdlock's instincts and knew that if he had been tasked with keeping watch over the theater, there must be a good reason.

Kishin began his patrol, walking down the aisles and inspecting the corners of the theater. He checked every door and peered through every window, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. It was as if the theater had been scrubbed clean.

At one point, Kishin encountered a cleaner who was busily sweeping the floor. He asked her if she had seen anything suspicious, but she shook her head and replied that everything had been quiet all night.

Kishin continued his patrol, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was on a meaningless mission. He wondered if Weirdlock had sent him here simply to distract him from something else. But Kishin had never known Weirdlock to be anything but a straight shooter, so he pushed the thought aside and continued his watch.

The ornate exterior of the building has intricate carvings and detailed moldings. The theater's facade is painted in a warm shade of cream, contrasting with the dark blue of the night sky. The entryway to the theater is a large set of wooden double doors with brass handles that lead into the lobby.

Once inside and outside had been looked at, Kishin had observed the spacious lobby with its tall ceilings and dim lighting. The air is filled with the scent of old wood and musty carpet, and the faint sound of classical music plays from magic hidden in the walls. Kishin takes a moment to appreciate the grandeur of the space, admiring the rows of plush red velvet seats in the auditorium visible from the lobby.

Moving forward, Kishin enters the auditorium and surveys the space. He notices the intricate designs on the walls, and the well-lit stage with its heavy velvet curtains. The stage is empty except for a few wooden props, suggesting that no rehearsals or performances are scheduled for the night.

Kishin's eyes scan the room, looking for any signs of disturbance or clues that might indicate the presence of the Black Dragons or White Stars. He checks the corners of the room, behind the curtains, and even on the ceiling. Despite his thorough examination, he finds nothing that suggests that either gang has entered the theater.

Feeling a bit frustrated, Kishin decides to take a break from his search and sits down on one of the plush seats in the front row. He leans back and looks up at the ceiling, admiring the chandelier with its sparkling crystal pieces. As he sits there, Kishin truly feels like this is a waste of time, and his previous encounters with the theater showed no gangs.

After a few moments, Kishin stands up and decides to search the dressing rooms and backstage areas of the theater. He walks down a narrow hallway lined with posters advertising previous shows and opens the first door he sees, leading him to a large dressing room filled with costume racks and mirrors.

Kishin spends some time examining the costumes, admiring the intricate details and the work that went into creating them. However, he still finds nothing of interest that might lead him to the Black Dragons or White Stars.

He moves on to the next room and opens the door to reveal a cramped and cluttered storage space filled with props, scenery, and other theatrical paraphernalia. Kishin carefully examines the items, but again, nothing seems out of the ordinary or indicates any signs of intrusion.

Finally, Kishin moves backstage to examine the various sets and scenery pieces. As he walks behind the curtains, he is struck by the attention to detail that went into creating the different scenes. From the elaborate backdrops to the meticulously crafted props, everything is done to perfection.

After searching every inch of the theater, Kishin feels both frustrated and confused. He has not found anything that might lead him to the Black Dragons or White Stars. He sits down on a nearby chair, feeling at a loss for what to do next. In the end, he decided to just sleep the shift away. After nothing happened, it was time to go claim his rightful reward.

As Kishin approached Weirdlock's office, he saw a group of city guards huddled around something on the ground. Kishin's curiosity piqued, and he approached the guards to see what was happening.

As he got closer, Kishin noticed that there were two bodies on the ground, one dressed in white and the other in black. The smell of fresh blood filled the air, and Kishin's stomach turned at the sight.

The guards seemed to be in a frenzy, trying to gather evidence and make sense of the situation. Kishin took a closer look at the bodies and noticed that both of them had multiple gunshot wounds. The white-clothed body had a few bullet holes in the chest and one in the forehead, while the black-clothed one had several wounds in the abdomen.

Kishin wondered if these were the members of the White Stars and Black Dragons that Weirdlock had warned him about. It was possible that they had come into contact with each other, and a gunfight had broken out. Kishin also couldn't rule out the possibility of someone else being involved in the murders.

As Kishin surveyed the area, he noticed that there were no other signs of struggle or disturbance. There were no bullet holes in the walls or any broken objects, which meant that the fight had most likely taken place elsewhere.

The area around Weirdlock's office was relatively quiet, with only a few pedestrians passing by. Kishin approached one of the guards and asked what had happened.

"We got a call about gunshots fired near this area, and when we arrived, we found these two bodies," the guard explained. "We're trying to gather as much evidence as possible, but it's not looking good so far."

Kishin nodded in understanding and continued to look around the area. He noticed that there were a few sensing magics used nearby, trying to capture some traces.

Kishin also looked for any clues or evidence that might lead him to the killer or killers. He scanned the ground for footprints or any objects that might have been dropped during the fight, but he didn't find anything of significance.

Kishin's attention then turned to Weirdlock's office. The door was slightly ajar, and Kishin could see that the lights were on inside. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should investigate further or wait for the guards to finish their work.

Ultimately, Kishin decided to approach the office cautiously. He slowly pushed the door open and peered inside. The office was a mess, with papers scattered all over the floor and furniture overturned.

Kishin's eyes fell on Weirdlock, who was sitting at his desk with his head in his hands. He looked up as Kishin entered, and his face was a mix of anger and despair.

"I told them not to come," Weirdlock muttered. "I warned them that the city guards were on high alert, but they didn't listen. Now, they're all dead."

Kishin's heart sank as he realized that Weirdlock had known all along that this was going to happen. He wondered if there was anything he could have done to prevent it. Silently looking at the man, Kishin accepted his reward and thought about how to end his karma here. His gun was always at his side, and he felt suspicious of the fight aftermath he'd seen.
