After landing the first order of business was to check into his room at the inn and get his mount a nice place to relax until he finishes what he came here for. As they made their way to the Inn one of the local informants waved them down for the standard info exchange "Time doesn't stop." a phrase that is only used when one informant has emergent matters to attend to. Knowing full well that he might have just skipped out on some rather juicy intel given that anything taking place under the knight's nose was something spectacular. Finally getting himself set up in the room something was telling him that today had much more in store for him than just this meeting.

What could it mean... he asked himself jumping out of the second-story window and into a rather prickly bush Azure thought back to when he got the letter along with his new weapon, the method used to get the information to him had seemed lazy at best. Dusting himself off and picking out what twigs and leaves had gotten into his hair.

Crocus seemed more lively than the last venture but then again with everything else going on the people would have to try and keep some normalcy. The afternoon sky shined a bright orange as he walked the streets of the Holy Capital, the meeting location was in a new that was close to the Garden. The summoner waited just outside the location waiting for the one that called the meeting.

As he waited the same feeling of what could only be dread crept its way in causing the normally Azure to start rambling about how this could have been yet another dud. It didn't take long before all the 'bad ends' started to form once again as this could have been a small fragment of hope, even though the issue had been thought to have been resolved the tiniest grain that they would still be out there remained with them. "My boy! Come we musten waste time!" the voice of his mentor shattered the walls that had started to form around him while sinking deeper into the hypotheticals.

It took him a second to place the face to a name "Grey! Ya ya right behind you." the duo entered the cafe, from the outside it seemed like a normal run-of-the-mill cafe but walking in they were greeted by a jester-themed Barista. Azure followed behind his mentor who seemed to have gotten much faster within their years "So is it true? Can I start clearing the weeds?" he asked with an innocent yet worried tone as they stopped just short of the back rooms. Still, with his back towards his student the old man simply nodded and quickly turned around "Yes...but there is more to it." The blue mage held back his torrent of emotions.

Greyroad turned around holding a thin folder with the target's name along with his own right under it. without a second thought, the informant took the folder and started to read the content. Normally the transaction would include a payment given that this had been an ongoing job but due to their relationship that step proved to be unnecessary.

Roughly two hours had passed after he finished reading the folder and processing the information that came from it. No words needed to be exchanged as both of them already knew exactly what must be done at this moment. The other informants that were making deals and things of that nature stopped what they were doing and stood up from their booths and tables and bowed as though to show support to the former rookie. As the informant left the cafe he started to plan out their next play to find the truth.

The current mission was to check the church to see if the cult had made any attempts to burn it down or anything to that effect. "Hi 'im here to do a report on the church and those that maintain it!" the reporter with too much energy was the perfect character to play, the custom was even better as he didn't think the glamor charm he got years ago would still work. The person that he talked to didn't seem surprised by this random visit which brought so many questions to mind, they hadn't been in the grand church before today so remembering as much of the layout as possible was going to be key to everything else.

The man struggled to explain some simple facts about the church that anyone could find out just by looking it up. "How long have you been with the church?" he asked to which the man paused for an extended period of time until finally answering. While he was waiting Azure quickly made mental notes of everything that he could see even though he couldn't see everything due to the number of people around. Everyone seems to be okay but I'm sensing something off he thought to himself as the worker brought him to a stage "I hope that was enough for your report?" It had become crystal clear that something wasn't right in the church the believers didn't match anything that was going but these were just the surface-level things that he noticed, while he looked around someone had been watching him from afar.

As the informant walked himself out of the church he quickly tapped multiple surfaces just in case something happens once he went back to the Inn. Not wanting to have his cover blown Azure ripped off the charm and tucked it into his pocket while trying to confuse anyone that could have attempted to follow him in the process. Some of the workers seemed to be on edge for some reason but he didn't have time to try and figure it out. Man, that went really well he thought to himself finally reaching the Inn and rushing to his room to start the second half operation.

Even though something was going on with the church he would have to wait until later to confirm everything currently on the list. Once Azure made it back to the inn he secured the room he quickly rifled through his belongings to find a small box with the initials GP on it "Nice! just gotta call the old man first." even though Greyroad was his mentor the old man was still just that an old man with a slight drinking problem.

Setting up his crystal ball the informant called his mentor to update them on the current events, back when he was in the church the places that he tapped were marked with magic bugs. "Okay, I'm activating the bugs now...Let's hope this relic still works." Grayroad listened to everything that Azure had managed to find while he was undercover. The bugs activate when the box is opened and the target location has abnormal magic levels compared to the local area.

A small projection had started to play in front of the two men showing a chart with the overall magic of Central Fiore compared to the magic that was in the church currently. A secondary screen popped up with a play button in the middle of it "You didn't mention anything about video/audio!" it was slightly irritating for him to just now find out the full capabilities of the box when he first 'obtained' it. It chart showed the church as a dead zone when it came to magic which was impossible given how many people were in there throughout the day. None of the information that had been gathered thus far had given any solid leads.

If Azure had managed to learn anything from his mentor it would have to be that nothing has a simple solution, "I'm going to push the button." part of him wanted to just head back and get their hands dirty while the other wanted to wait till tomorrow to head back. Gently pushing the button static was the only thing that was coming out clearly but only for a few seconds as voices started to come through faintly.

After listening to the recording both men seemed rather puzzled at the fact they managed to get so much information in just the first take. This didn't sit right with Azure at all no secret organization would just willingly give out this much information, stupidity aside being tight-lipped was key even if one thinks they are safe. Still, a bit confused at the situation the two informants were silent while occasionally throwing a glance at one another as if to confirm something.

What felt like hours of silence was, in reality, a few minutes passing, part of the summoner wanted truly wanted to go back to the church but the other part was focused on the name that was mentioned before. Cath... was an odd name but it also tapped a few bells in their mental library "I'll stop by once I get back so.. stay safe." Azure quickly turned everything off and made fell to his bed.
