"Mmgh" The Wood Elf slowly awakened. Their body was in extreme pain, and cold. Very cold. Their eyes struggled to catch a glimpse of the world around them, and after a few seconds they came back into reality. The first thing they noticed was the brown hard floor and the first thing they smelled was blood. It was their blood. They tapped their lip and pulled away to look at the crimson colored blood. They were completely fucked up. Pushing themselves further from the ground they finally turned to assess the situation. Where was Happy? Where was the Priest? What the hell even happened? All of the questions that the wood elf had were soon answered when they turned to look beside them. To their surprise there was a row of people all chained to the wall just as they were. Alejandro looked down at their own wrist, still piecing together everything that had happened.

Happy was chained to a wall all the way at the end, battered and in pain. The High Priest was directly beside Alejandro. Seven other civilians were chained, including two children with who the elf had assumed to be their mother. The looks on their faces, the knight new that look; it was pure fear. Everyone's spirits seemed to dwindle, all but Happy and Alejandro. When the cat realized that their partner was awake his eyes immediately widened. "Ale, we gotta get out of this place." The exceed whispered. The Dragon Slayer tried to bring their hands to their head but the chains on their wrists were far too binding. "Yeah..." they grunted before looking around. "So they took the Orb, huh?" The priest's head was lowered. He had no fight left in him. To Herald, this was the end of the road, not just for himself but for the magical relic.

"They're going to destroy the world as we know it with that power." the priest grimly said. The civilians had no clue what the three of them were talking about but it didn't take a rocket scientist to piece the clues together and get the big picture. Alejandro decided at that moment that they would find a way to get out of here. The fight wasn't over. Bane had did a number on both him and Happy. The Elf already accepted the fact that Bane was simply out of their league. They were in over their head. However, they knew the sacrifices they had to make. Even if they themselves didn't make it out of this alive, these people had too. They were caught up in something that nothing to do with them. Tonight was not the night that they would die, Alejandro would make sure of that. The children held tightly to their mother.

If Alejandro's mother had been in this position they didn't know what they would do. "I'm gonna find a way out of these chains and get us all out of here." the Seated Knight said. "None of you will die today. I promise." with a frown and a nod, the seated Knight assured the people in chains. Herald began to look up. He could see the fiery passion igniting inside the Light Dragon Slayer. They had spent the entire day together and in that span of time they hadn't gotten to know each other well, but Herald would be a fool to not put their faith in their only hope of freedom. With a nod, the Priest gave the elf his blessing. Slowly they sat back and took a deep breath. It was then, after they had gathered themselves mentally and prepared for what was to come, that they shouted. "AHH!!! HELP!!!" they screamed.

They shouted over and over for about five more minutes. Eventually men in suits made their way to what had been their cells. Naturally these men didn't give a shit about Alejandro's health- or any of their lives for that matter, but the screaming was annoying enough for at least two of them to come. "Shut your mouth, elf!" One man shouted. "Make me, human." Alejandro grunted. They never in their life referred to another being as their race, but in that moment they saw the true nature of humanity; greedy. "What did you say to me, kid?"These men were disgusting, despicable. For a moment they sounded like their cousin Lothwen. "I said...make. me." they repeated themselves. The man quickly barged forward, lowering himself to Alejandro's face. Just before the man could say another word, the elf threw their head onto the mans with all their strength, causing him to immediately fall over onto the ground. "And I'm not a fuckin' boy."

Alejandro grunted and quickly grabbed the keys out of the mans pocket, unlocking the cuffs on their wrists before turning to the other folks. They were eager to be freed, but sadly that wouldn't happen at this very moment. Suddenly another voice called out to the straggler who had come to assert his dominance, followed by a few more footsteps. "I'll be back, don't worry." he assured the people. When the other men finally came Happy directed them towards Alejandro's direction. Now it was up to the Wood-Elf to do the rest. First they would retrieve the orb, then they would return and free the rest of them chained to the walls of the catacombs of Church Orchidia. Alejandro knew that they had to be fast. They could smell the stench of cheap cologne not too far behind them so they knew the men were on their trail. They had no weapons, and they were completely drained but they still had the power of their fists.

They stopped in a door way and waited for the men to approach. From their estimate they heard about four men. As soon as they approached the area the Elf jumped out and sprung into action. It wasn't four men, but six! The men were caught of guard so taking the first two out was fairly easy, the others put up a good fight. If the elf had been at full strength this would have already been over, Alas they took blows to the face and to the stomach. Quickly though they regained their footing, knocking all of them out. A few of them had weapons so of course the Knight picked up two daggers and continued down the hall. They had to somehow figure out where it was, but this may have taken longer than they accounted for. The catacombs had turns all throughout the building. Wild lefts, even wilder rights.

Up ahead they saw two men guarding what seemed to be a door. They whistled out to them before ducking in between another doorway. Of course, like idiots, one of the men slowly made their way towards Alejandro's direction, with his weapon drawn. The other remained facing watched and waited. Once the other man turned the corner Alejandro snatched him up and placed their bronze hand over the mans mouth, slicing his neck gently before slowly putting him down. The Stellan waited a few seconds. Sooner than later the other guard called out to his comrade and when the man didn't respond he walked down the hallway too. There, he would take his last breath, his life stolen by the wood elf. Lately it seemed like Alejandro was just racking up body and after body. Yet, they felt absolutely nothing, not like the first time they killed someone at least.

Alejandro began to make their way down the hall towards the door now that it was unguarded. When they reached the door they placed their hand on the handle but before they could push they began to hear...whispers? Like the first time they were in the presence of the magical orb. It began to make sense. The orb was calling out to the wood-elf. Either that, or they hit their head pretty fucking badly. Nonetheless, Alejandro didn't make another move until they made sure that they were actually hearing the same voice. Sure enough, they were. The elf pulled away and began bolting the other direction towards the sound. The further they moved the louder they could hear the voice, it belonged to a man. "Who are you?" Alejandro whispered, still keeping their eyes peeled in case anyone randomly appeared. There was no direct answer. Instead, the voice just continued to repeat the same thing over and over.

Finally, when the voice was so loud that it was almost overwhelming, it stopped and there Alejandro was standing in front of a large door. "This must be where the priest comes in private..." they whispered. They gently placed their ear onto the door and heard nothing. You could never be too sure though, at least that's what the Stellan always believed. They slowly pushed over the door, gripping tightly to the dagger that didn't belong to them. It was a large room with a table to the far left and a fire place on the opposite side. Surprisingly there was nobody inside. Without another thought the Lieutenant began to scour the room. They were sure not to make too much noise, but they needed to find the- "Here it is." They said to themselves. They opened the box to make sure it was inside before fleeing from the room and returning back to the cell.

Three men stood in front of the cell with their arms crossed. Happy and the others noticed Alejandro returned and surprisingly they were shocked- all but happy that is. The three men immediately charged towards the Elf who with one hand had sliced and diced, kicked and head butted with the box in their hand before killing all them with the dagger. Just like that, they were goners. With blood splattered all over their uniform and a look that Happy had never seen before, Alejandro used the keys that they collected earlier and unlocked all of the cuffs on their wrists. The next task seemed to be the simplest. They were so close to this all being over, Alejandro could taste the outside world now. They couldn't wait to meet their bed for an intimate night of sleep, where they could dream about the lovers they would never have and eat fish they hated with happy.
