Sho

Sho was just relaxing on the outskirts of town. He was going to do some good work for Baska as he has done in the past. Slim Jim was resting as usual while Sho leaned on his side. It was comforting to relax on his companion and Slim Jim didn’t seem to mind it at all. Then he saw something off in the distance. It looked like a bird carrying a letter, as it got closer he noticed that it was an owl bringing the letter in the middle of the day. Something you don’t see too often, especially considering most owls are nocturnal. The bird got closer and dropped the letter off in front of Sho. He grabbed it out of the air as it floated downwards ever so gently. The bird didn’t stop or anything, it just turned around mid-air and headed back to the city of Baska. Sho took the letter and opened it by ripping the seal on the back of it. He removed the note from the envelope and began to read it very carefully.

Sho

First off it started with an apology for not being able to meet in person. Sho wasn’t offended by it; he knew Gerard was a busy man. He was a doctor that took his job very seriously. But the issue was a virus running rampant in the city. The virus turned people into rage monsters that attacked anything in the current vicinity. That wasn’t the only problem, the virus was spreading to the local wildlife, causing them to go insane. One pack of animals was drawing the most attention, however. A group of boars was affected causing them to attack anyone and anything that gets close to their territory. The doctor requested one thing, sedate a boar by any means necessary without actually killing one though. Sho thought to himself for a moment ‘Should be easy enough to take care of.’ He had the perfect powers for this kind of thing. With gravity-based powers, he would be able to lock down and subdue one of them.

Thankfully he only needed to capture one of the beasts. The others would just have to be put down to avoid the virus being spread to more of the local wildlife. Sho grabbed his gear off of Slim Jim and began putting it on. He was already on the outskirts of town so the trek was not going to be far; it was at a local lake roughly ten minutes away from his current position. After placing all his gear on he left Slim Jim to sleep in the green pasture. He was thankful his companion had not been infected by the virus or he would have had to put him down. That would have hurt his heart more than anything in the world if he had to do that. Due to not staying in the city Sho avoided the virus himself thankfully. No telling what kind of damage he could do if he went crazy from the virus. So he made sure to be extra careful. Standing there for a moment he took a deep breath then set off towards the lake.

Sho

Sho took his time getting to the lake, he was in no rush to do the job. The virus had already had the doctor busy so it was up to Sho to deal with the boars. While walking he took a few swings of his rum to get his game face on. Ten minutes had passed since he started walking towards the lake previously mentioned. He stopped just out of range of the boars. Sho stood there surveying the wide open area. It was beautiful to say the least even with crazed wildlife on the loose. Sho noticed the boars drinking from the lake and one of the stragglers was off grazing on the grass. As Sho inched closer he noticed that the boar was foaming at the mouth and its eyes were blood red. Even from a distance the virus's effects had a noticeable effect. Sho got a bit closer, and stepped on a branch.

The branch made a crunching noise which caused the boar that was off on its own to look up from its grazing and scan the area quickly for predators. It noticed Sho right away and began to stomp the ground. It scratched at the ground making noticeable indents in the dirt to prepare itself for a charge. Sho didn’t reach for his weapon right away as he knew he needed to knock the beast out not kill it. He had to do it quickly to avoid alerting the others that were off by the lake doing their own thing. The boar charged, Sho slid his foot to give himself a wide stance as he opened both hands ready to catch the boar by the tusks. The beast charged with all of its might, barreling down on Sho. Thing was, he was ready for just about anything, even this boar. The boar met Sho with explosive force trying to gore him.

Sho

Sho held his position firm as the beast slammed into him. He grabbed onto the horns as the beast came into range. The beast pushed and pushed with all of its might but all Sho did was slide backwards a bit. He only dug his toes into the ground while lifting his heels slightly off the ground. “Ya get all of that rage out of your system you goin nowhere!” Sho yelled as he pushed back on the beast causing it to reel backwards Sho let go with his right hand and uppercutted the beast as he lifted it up. A low thud could be heard as Sho’s fist connected with the beast's lower jaw. The punch was devastating causing the beast to go upwards. As the beast was coming down Sho took his left hand and with a mighty judo chop, placed right in the middle of the beast's head put it to sleep. The chop made a hearty noise as it landed. The beast’s eyes swirled as it was knocked out in an instant.

Sho let go of the unconscious boar as the other ones had been alerted to his presence. The other four boars roared in unison and left their position to charge. This time Sho didn’t have to hold back. He quickly unsheathed his blade and clicked it on. The blade came to life in an instant causing a humming sound to be heard. Sho had no problems with killing infected boars. He just wished that he could have kept the meat for him and Slim Jim. Tainted meat would be a no go, didn’t wanna risk getting both of them sick. As they charged in one by one Sho dispatched them with ease. A few quick slashes and the beasts were put down in an instant. Sho turned the blade off and put it back on his side. He then picked up the unconscious boar and threw him over his shoulder. He made the trek back into town to Gerard’s office. “Quickly come and place it down on the table.”

Sho followed the doctor into the operating room and placed the boar on the table. “Thank you so much I knew I could count on you.” Sho nodded and held out an open hand. Gerard placed the bag of jewels into his hand. “Always a pleasure doing business with you.” Sho then took his leave to be by his companions' side once more.
