Tempris sat down on a stomp off the side of the road. Karisa wanted her to have fun with this event but Tempris could not shake the feeling that her fate was about to change. Big changes were coming and who knew if it was going to be good or bad. Not only that, She gave her some dumb challenge to go look at something spooky or other. She forgot though she did have a piece of paper in her pocket with more information if needed.

Tempris was dress in a black dress with the symbol of Illumin embroider in gold on her left sleeve. On her right was her own guild symbol. Her hair was tide into a ponytail on her right side while the rest her hair hung down just above her shoulders. She had on Brown boots and her sword rested safely impaled in the ground. Now she waited for the motivation to move forward.

Sho was looking at a map of the area. He couldn’t really make heads or tails where exactly he was at. All he knew is that he needed to meet his captain soon before embarking on this adventure. As he walked down the vacant road he noticed someone sitting on the stomp on the side of the road. Sho squinted to make out who exactly it was sitting on the stomp. It was no one he had ever seen before as he got closer he could slowly make out who exactly it was. His mouth almost dropped to see her in the light. In his current attire, his leather plated vest, with his face revealed as his helmet hung from the back of his belt on a clip. He had a white-feathered black cape that barely danced across the ground. His hair was slicked back revealing the black crosses on his forehead. He towered over this individual as he got closer standing at almost 6’9. The person that sat before him was Tempris, the Herald of Rapture. Sho had to meet her. He approached quickly, putting the map away.

“Miss Tempris I presume?”

He was running late.

It was an impromptu return to Joya, the older Knight had been away for some time to handle work that had popped up back in Fiore, but he had been called back to Joya for an event with Empyrean Divine. He wasn't too familiar with Karisa as a person, but he was however familiar with her adopted daughter, Tempris. It was for the younger that he even bothered to come to this event. He knew of the young woman's... rather eccentric personality and extreme fascination of Illumin, as heretical as that was. But due to her personality, she would be a great fit for the project and group he was building towards. He needed fighters and warriors, and thus he would have to find those with the right disposition to fight those who would threaten the world they all lived on.

Having Sho with him was just icing on the cake. The young man was like a sponge and soaked up wisdom and power alike. He would make a wonderful fighter and subordinate soon enough. Just needed time and opportunity, something that Seika was going to give him in spades.

He would come across both of the individuals he had been thinking about in short order on his way to the palace being used as the meeting location for the event. Blinking in surprise, the large Knight would regard both while shifting the pack he had slung over his shoulder. He was wearing his normal get up of a white Haori over nothing and a pair of white hakama and a pair of open toed sandals. His mask was stored away behind his head and his dreads had seemed to grow ever longer.

"Tempris? Sho? What are you both doing out here? The festival is back in the capital." His confusion was palpable but not unwarranted. Ah well, at least he was saved from the full journey.

Some my call this fate. As Tempris pouted on the stomp, she noticed a man walking towards her. He was incredibly tall if not a giant. She was sure, even if she stood up on the stomp, that she would not able to meet him eye level. Lucky for her she had the stomp or else he probably would have ran into her. Tall people had a habit of doing that. At first he was carrying a map but once his eyes met hers, the man quicken his pace and greeted her.

"Oh... uh yes? Is there something I can assist with sir?"

His height was really off putting. To see a giant man just walk up on her. Sure she was not a normal person but even she had been inactive on the things that normally get her attention from strangers she she had to wonder why was he here.

A deep familiar voice sparked so nostalgia of warm days in Bosco. But even with this help everything failed. It was a bitter sweet feeling to have a man with similar views but also a failure to save an important person.

"Seika! What a blessing. Its been so long," She did her best to smile despite the other baggage that came with his presence, "I was 'assigned' to go 'adventure' some place in this location. Part of the festival or something. That's what the guild master said anyway. What are you doing here?"

The short Tempris stood up on a stump only reaching Sho’s chest in her attempt to be taller. No doubt she struggled with her size through her days as a warrior. Sho did not know her full story nor did he know she knew Seika. Things just kind of fell into place as all good things should. Standing there Tempris responded to Sho’s initial question but before the words could leave his lips he was interrupted by the dark-skinned Rune Knight Seika. The day just got a bit brighter as Sho adored his captain and would follow him to the ends of the earth if he let him as long as he walked a good path. Seika mentioned something about the festival is back in the capital but before he could respond again he was cut off except this time by Tempris.

He looked at the both of them and chuckled to himself, ‘Of course, they know each other.’ Tempris spoke to Seika, her tone happy in nature and that was a good sign to Sho. He once again looked at his map as Tempris spoke, “I just saw Miss Tempris here and figured I would stop to say hello and to see if she was heading towards the adventure that is marked on the map. Fancy meeting you here captain.”

He showed Seika the map and pointed to the star on the map. They were supposed to investigate the area and have fun while doing it. Sho smiled and looked over at the two, “Seems like fate has brought us together. Why not all three of us go on this adventure?”

Fate definitely seemed to smile upon Seika and his companions as they stood about in a circle. The various glowing smiles and happy reactions to his presence warmed Seika's already luminously burning soul. Chuckling in good mirth at the obvious giddiness that Tempris showed, he'd lay a large, heavy hand on the girls' head. "Indeed Little One, It's good to see you in good health. I had planned to come by and say hello to you and your mother anyway so you've merely saved me a trip."

Turning to Sho, he gave his subordinate a good nod. The lad had always done right by him and he was happy to see him out and about. He definitely had a good vibe that was hard to be negative around, it honestly hurt Seika's soul that their future trials and tribulations would likely dampen such a good person, but destiny waited for no one, and The Deep didn't care how good of a person you were.

Looking between the two, he listened to them both basically state that they were given an 'adventure' to do and so figuring that such a thing could take place on the way to the palace, merely adjusted his pack once more before giving them both a wide mouth grin to match their vibe, "Sure, sounds good to me. Let's go on an adventure!" He worked hard to match their excitement, childish wonder and happiness was so precious. Sol had definitely blessed him today.

Tempris watched as the two rune knights converse. It was something she wished she had when she was in the rune knights. If anything, she wished she had this sort of relationship with the people in her own guild. It was kind of hard to do anything when people think of you as just a child or some horrible monster. While the first might have been true, she was no monster. She was a benevolent force. She only brought happiness and salvation to those she interacted with. If only there were people who understood... Well, there was one person. Seika sort of understood her, at least he did back in Bosco. She did not know he was a Rune Knight though. She wondered if that made him change in anyway?

"Go on an... adventure?" Tempris shrugged and hopped down from the stomp to pick up her stuff. "Probably better then what I was assigned to do. Don't want to upset fate now. I'll follow you both if that is okay."

Sho smiled as he saw Seika speak to Tempris; it was as if a father was speaking to his daughter. Sho wasn’t too sure about who exactly Tempris’s mother was but she had to be someone if Seika traveled all this way to visit. Sho was just out here in Joya for the festival meeting other people was just a bonus for him. He had planned to get wasted by himself or with others. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a small silver flask filled to the brim with Black rum. He scored some off a pirate on his ship ride over to Joya. It was some potent stuff. He took a swig of the brew and handed it over to Seika. “Stuff is great, got it off some pirate in a dice game.” Hopefully, Seika would take some before Sho put it away. He didn’t offer Tempris any because she looked a bit on the young side, Sho was not trying to be rude but he wasn’t about children getting drunk either. Then again Tempris was pretty famous herself and no doubt had seen her share of the battlefield so Sho figured why not. He tilted the flask towards Tempris as well, “You can have some too goes down smooth.”

Hopefully, Seika wouldn’t get upset at Sho offering booze to a minor. She had been in several life-defying fights so a bit of rum wouldn’t hurt her in the grand scheme of things. “We got about an hour hike before reaching the destination on our map, best get going.”

The confusion Tempris displayed equally matched the excitement of Sho. It was... a curious combination to say the least. Seika's musings were cut loose as everyone got ready to head out. Sho had even procured some en route drinks for the party, though the mention of a hearty pirate drink left Seika with a bit of an arched eyebrow. Looking over at Tempris, he contemplated denying the child a good drink, if only because she were a minor. But the fact of the matter was, she was a warrior who had fought alongside him in war times. Sighing in exasperation and reluctance, he would take the offered drink before popping the top and water falling the deep amber fluid right down his gullet. It would only be a short swig, just enough to whet his palette and give him a good taste of what it had to offer. It was definitely a hearty drink, something he would grumble at as he twisted the top back on before handing it back to Sho.

Wiping his chin with the back of his hand, he'd pat his own chest as the soft burn began to spread outwards and fill him with a different kind of fire than he normally was filled with. He would turn his head to regard Tempris' reaction to the liquid as he nodded his head along with Sho's assessment of their distance from their destination. Their walk was definitely going to be eventful if the child's reaction to the fiery liquid was to be expected.

The was created. Two Rune Knights and one ex Rune Knight going on an adventure. All they were missing was their favorite rocket ship. Sho also knew where he was going so Tempris was please for not having to think about this at all. However before the adventure would officially start, the man brought out a special adult drink... Well, maybe she should just call it what it was. He had some sort of beer or liquor.

First he offered it to Seika who graciously pour it into his mouth. He did not drink all of it, but his extremeness reminded her of his forwardness in Bosco. It was a bit relieving that the man did not cooldown and still had some fire in him. Sure it sucked when he did not listen but it was something she would pray would never ever go away.

This drink though seemed to really affect the man which was interesting. She always imagined Seika being able to handle anything but maybe that was just her younger self being overly imaginative. How life was so much better back then. So when Sho then offered her a drink, she hesitated. It was not the first time she had drink. So she was a bit more experience with effects of such substances. Thus, she took the drink and took a small gulp. Swallowing it before she could register its power. However, she did not escape it.

It burned going down her throat. Then as it hit her stomach, it felt like she was just slugged in the face. She returned the drink to show while she struggled to battle with the drink. Seconds after he took it, she started coughing. "Guess... maybe I was a bit too confident..." Her face became flushed but she remained standing, the victory over this drink. Surely had she not had any experience, she would have fallen but fate had blessed her with will to surpass this ordeal.
"Oi, time for adventure no?" She folded her arms before taking a deep breath. "I doubt this would be as fun as Bosco but... I expect great things from you Captain Commander and Sho"

Sho took the drink back from the two stifling back a laugh, but a smile was granted as he took another swig before putting the top back on the flask. Seika could hold his liquor but Tempris’s small body clearly could not. Yet she took the drink anyways even though it was a small drink. She spoke up and folded her arms. She expected great things from the two Rune Knights, Sho was a bit thrown off due to the fact this was their first time meeting technically. He had heard of her but he had not seen her in action personally. So this was going to be a treat for everyone. It seemed like Sho was leading the way given the fact he had the map so he lead on. Joya’s beauties were surely something to behold. Sho was at a loss for words as he surveyed the lively scenery but there was a sense of darkness that loomed over certain areas. Luckily enough for them where they were going was one of those ‘dark’ places. Supposedly plagued with spirits, monsters, and demons it was quite the adventure for anyone taking part in it.

All Sho hoped was there was enough action to go around. No doubt this festival brought people from all around so a lot of the hotspots were already taken by other brave adventurers. He hoped the place marked on the map was alive with action. Leading the way he walked in the front of the group, looking at the map and the landmarks given on the map. They were going the right way thankfully, Sho didn’t want to look foolish getting the party lost during this venture.

“So Tempris, Captain how did you two meet?”
