Amir made it back to the Fairy Tale party. It was a great chance to start back cozying up to Kaito and his exceed. The music started to pick up slowly and the guests started to relax from the previous attempts on the life of the guild mates and the guild. Amir was looking around for Kaito and Revy. He lost track of them when he got distracted looking at an oddly shaped man. The man looked like a cross between a human and an anorexic lobster.

The scholar could not find the duo when he went by the kitchens. Some of the staff were being a bit on the loud side. Amir could overhear whispers about the party still being in danger. An explosive was placed inside the building that could detonate. The guild needed people to be distracted away from the bomb or else it could go off prematurely with people fleeing. Amir was getting pissed at the sheer audicity of these bomb dealers. Amir could not fathom how such people slept at night, knowing they caused pain and suffering to the world.

Kaito has dropped into a chair and he looks around seeing the party is back full swing, Revy is running around helping treat people and helping serve people to keep the party going and not too tense. Kaito is feeling the pain, his whole body feels like it is made of lead and his cloths are pretty beat up and he gets a drink. He sits and drinks his fruit punch and eating some snacks from his table, he wonders if amir made it back safely or if he decided to call it an early day after tossing his guts and helping other people get out to get here. He doesn’t want to really worry about it cause he didn’t have the energy to really go out of his way for much more in the day after the earlier battle and beating he took.

Revy sees Amir, she walks over to them and she looks up at Amir. ” Hello nice to see you are well and that you made it back safe and you didn’t just take off for the sun set, need a drink ?” she keeps her eyes up at Amir waiting for her question to be met with his answer but she doubts he is gonna be wanting more of the wine after him losing it all to the ground right after he had went through the portal earlier.

Amir was trying to think of a game plan. His current train of thought was stuck at a decision. A choice that was confounding the scholar. Take destiny into his own hands and look for the bombs, or trust that Fairy Tale could look after their own guild and keep the people from having a full blown panic.

A familiar voice pulls him from his deep thoughts. Amir looks at the red headed anthropomorphic cat that is talking to him. It was Revy asking him if he wanted to drink some more. Amir almost blushed in shame. He only refrained from doing so because of the gravity of the situation at hand.

“Uhm. Yes. I could use a drink. Have you seen your partner Kaito by chance?” Amir decided to pass on the choice to the dude that actually worked here. That way he can avoid complications and certain responsibilities. He did not want to overstep his boundaries and abilities. He also did not want to die. Sticking close to the one that can open up portals and escape at any moment was always a great idea to have.

“I actually have something of the utmost importance to tell him. That is assuming he does not already know. I do not think he would leave such an amazing partner behind.” Amir was unsure if he was laying it on too thick or not thick enough. He wanted to convey the importance of the message to Revy, without the exceed causing a scene. Who knew if anyone else in the hall was listening as close as he was to the workers. Amir only barely had enough presence of mind not to cause a panic.

Revy tilts her head at the man and she wonders what he means. "What do you mean ?" Had this man hit his head or something Revy wondered, she gets some bandages and wet wipes out of her pack and holds them out to Amir. "Why would Kai leave me behind?" She wonder if maybe Amir should be laying down or not he might be suffering from shock or may have gotten an injury she did not see him get.

A voice hisses in Amir's ear. "Didn't you ever hear that speaking demons names summon them?" Blue crystal eyes pierce the darkness from under the hooded figure that was standing behind Amir. "Why are you looking for him anyways?" The man gives off an arcane aura. The man reaches his arm up and attempts to touch Amir with his hand. "Maybe I should fill you with bless before you die."

Kai sits up straight he sensed a portal that had opened on the other side of the guild, he jumped to his feet shoving his way through the crowd and he runs ignoring this bodies fatigue and his lack of time to really recover cause he knows what this feeling means he just hopes that he can get to the spot before it is too late and someone gets killed or dropped into the void to suffer a fate worse then death.

Amir was starting to calm down when Revy mentioned that Kaito should not be far away. If that was the case Amir believed they could split the work and was feeling better about it all. Kaito could easily defend his guild. Amir would volunteer to keep everyone calm. It was the least he could do.

Everything changed when the bad guy attacked. Amir was surprised to hear someone speaking to him. The cold voice shook him to his core. It filled him with fear especially when the feeling of danger hit him. Amir did not have a lot of time to react. He jumped towards Revy. Amir was trying to protect the dang exceed. If Amir would have moved out the way, who knows what the man would have done to the cat.

Amir could not even see what magic had hit him. He felt a pain in his back. The amount of pain was enough to make him clench his teeth, he would have blacked out if not for the pain. His pain tolerance was higher than average. Years of physical abuse made him able to hold in the pain. Some slavers used to beat him more for tears, as it slowed his ability to work. His family in Minstrel would even laugh at him. Tears were always a form of weakness.

He managed to protect the short red haired beast. Amir wanted to run but was too weak to do it. Amir was really wishing his magic could heal himself. “Shahryār” Amir made a back hand swipe. He was unable to aim properly as he was trying to move. His magic was weak enough to not hurt anyone as long it was not to a direct vein.

The man touches skin to skin with the man in front of him filling the man with a blissful feeling and visions of happiness before going to use a dimensional slash into Amir’s back Kai warps close and kicks the man away from him and the exceed. Kaito warped them all to his domain Kaito looks like he can barely stand but the other man is standing looking at them his hood back the man looks like Kai but blonde and has crystal blue eyes unlike Kai this man has golden tattoos up his arms. She smirks at them as he knows that Kai is weakened and is unready for a fight with him.

"Awwww how cute you protected your whittle friend how cute. " the man’s voice is taunting. Kaito sends Amir and Revy back to the guild to lessen his load a little and to let them find the issue in the guild while he deals with his own problem in the form of this man in front of him and he isn’t gonna run from him if he dies then it just means he wasn’t strong enough and he shouldn’t have this power but he hopes he can still force this man’s retreat then return to the guild and help Amir and Revy find the bombs and disarm them.

The cold sweat pooling down his skin would be enough to drown a toddler. Amir let Revy out of his arms. He was in too much pain to keep her. The scholar managed to hold off on crying from pure practice, even with his high pain tolerance it was close. Amir was feeling dizzy, a part of his mind honestly thought he died. He saw a flash of white light, and got slightly dizzy. Amir could not have guessed that he was teleported away. He was honestly getting pissed about thinking about how this death worked. Going to another guild only to get killed off because of their crappy security. Amir thought if he became a ghost he would poltergeist the hell out of Fairy Tale.

His eyes open a little bit. He could see some people in a panic. As the sound of fighting broke out. He forced himself to stand. He ignored the pain and refused to let his body give out. It was a moment that Amir wished he could use healing magic on himself. It would have been able to ease the pain, at least some of it. The pain did help him focus and realize just how alive he was.

“Revy, are you okay?” Amir spoke to the cat he lost a good portion of his life trying to protect. “We have to get back to Kaito.” It was the second time the man saved his life. Amir could not help but to admire such a selfless hero. He thought that Fairy Tale was lucky to have such a great man in their ranks.

Thinking quickly Amir had to figure out how to get people out the way without causing a greater panic. “OMG! The King is outside offering jewels to the citizens in honor of Fairy Tale.” Amir yelled loudly and excitedly. The tone of his voice was calm, it made some of the people start to leave in excitement as well. “We have to hurry, some of the people in the back are trying to distract us with fake bomb threats.” Amir was bending the truth a lot, he was using human psychology to try to take control of the situation. Knowledge was still his greatest source of power.

”I am fine but are you fine? ” Revy looks at Amir and giggles at him saying he wanted to get back to Kaito. ”unless you have special magic… no even with that you couldn’t reach him. ” she helps to escort people out and start looking for where bombs might be planted at so she she can help Amir handle the job Kaito had given them, she believes in Kai and she knows she can trust in Amir even if he does mostly treat her as if she is a bit of a burden.

Kaito keeps on his toes vs his god slaying enemy as they have fought a few times, but this one seems like he had plan forward for a sneak attack on a day trying to catch kaito weakened enough to try for an early easy win. They clash a few times but Kai feels something isn’t right about this fight, it was odd this man wasn’t trying to actively fight him more like he was stalling for time.

" What is your heart not in this fight today?" the man’s voice is taunting like he is trying to lure Kaito to keep his attention away from the threat going on in his own dimension. He wasn’t gonna let Kaito leave to help his friends so he was gonna have to trust in his companion and his new friend to handle the threat in his world and hope that they don’t lose their cool and end up with a boom going off.

Revy keeps her head cool and her eyes sharp and she finds a few in the party room. ”Do you know how to deal with bombs by some chance ? ” She put a marker down where they are so if Amir has any idea how he could deal with them and she just keeps looking for any more that she can find and mark for him to take care of.

Kaito decides he needs to shift the man away then get back to his friends to make sure they are okay and to help them before any trouble comes back to them, he runs into the man and clashes and he spins kicking the man through the portal away from them then he portals back to his friends and he slides on his back cross the floor. "Did I make it back in time ? " He smiles up at them with a nervous smile.

The crowds were starting to clear out a bit. Amir was trying to help the best he could and look for the bombs. It was just harder for him to do it because of his injuries. His back was feeling terrible, Amir could not even take a break to purge the rampant mana inside himself. Amir was going off of pure adrenaline. His weak body was only surviving from his need to get stuff done.

He managed to get some people out when the exceed came to talk to him. The bomb defusal question was a bit concerning. In theory Amir did know how to disarm a bomb. The issue was the practical ability to do it. It enveloped manipulating mana to rewrite, or disarm certain points. Mana bomb defusal, the process took a great amount of mana control and manipulation. Under the best of circumstances it was a job that Amir could handle. His injury prevented him from concentrating as well.

“I can do it.” Amir just wanted to do the job. He was unsure if he could escape with the way he felt. The next best step would be to insure his safety. If the place went up he would go down. “I just need a second to try to recover. The bombs should not go off then. If I save my strength it would increase the odds of success without death. Just make sure you get all the people to safety, If you find any more bombs bring them here.”

Taking his own advice. Amir tried to meditate for a minute. He took deep breaths to focus his mind. He was blocking out the pain and giving his mana a chance to recover itself. When he felt he was ready he started to go to work.

Amir focused his mana onto the mana bomb. He was focusing his mana to become little tendrils. The green magic was slow working, yet steady in pace. Amir was trying to ensure that no mana was able to escape his grasp and start to run wayward. Like a parasitic infection Amir was working his way in. It was going step by step and one step at a time. The defusal was like picking a lock as he reversed the mana polarity in one section, then increased the mana flow in another section to cause it to collapse on itself. To Amir defusing the mana bombs were just as intense as fighting a strong enemy.

He looks at Amir who had ignored his reappearance and he wondered if he was just busy he looked at Revy and he helped Revy finishing getting people out of the guild and getting the bombs rounded up, he could just send them away in a heartbeat but he was sure this is worth more to this odd man if he got to be at least a partial savior of the day and Kaito wasn't going to take this from him if he can do it. He tends to the mans back with bandages and a special ointment, if Kai knew one thing it was tending to wounds and this special ointment he knows how to make from growing with elves who had many years on them and some of the best herbs they could ever ask for.

He hoped that this quick treatment will help this man and not cause him to loose his focus, Kai wished he had a knack for healing magic but he wasn't able to learn it, he cursed that he was a battle only type but he knows it is his place to battle and protect those that can't protect themselves and he isn't scared to die for those people no mater what he has to do this it is his calling even if he is a cursed monster that will probably never know what love truly feels like.

He doesn't really understand people sometimes but he does his best to make sure that he seems like he is on their level or can fully understand their needs and wants as they come but really he is just void on the inside besides a lingering feeling he had gotten with a woman he had met not long ago, he thinks she feels the same but he feels that he has to let her go cause she will probably find more happiness with someone that can take care of her and treat her right, unlike him who can only touch her with a gloved hand and leave her wanting for more then he can give her. He knows he needs to find a cure and fast if he wants to keep her or help her moving forward.

Amir focused the last bit of his mana in a particular spot. A soft beep was heard that made his own heart skip a beat. The mana bomb broke down as the mana backlashed breaking it apart. The entire time Amir was too focused on the task at hand. He had not reacted because he mentally did not even notice that Kaito had managed to come back.

“You made it back. Thanks for saving my life again.” Amir reached for the next mana bomb that needed to be disarmed. He stopped when his mind finally registered the lack of pain. He flexed his shoulder blades and smiled. “Thanks. You saved me a lot of effort. You must have been working on healing me. Thank you again for that. It explains why it felt like the effort on defusal was going well.”

Amir went back for reaching and pulled the bomb close. “Wait a minute.” Amir said the words in shock when another thought flitted to his head. “Why am I taking the time out to disarm these things and possibly blow up? If it is not too much work can you open up a spatial gate and send them away. Preferably to an uninhabited place. Or to the coordinates XXXX by YYYY.” Amir was not strong enough to return home. It did not mean he could not send them a gift if possible. If it took out the oasis it would only benefit. Not for the people dying of course, but at least it would be a better death than the bloodbath Amir would grant them.

he hears the beeping and he wonders if we are about to watch this man die. But it stops and Revy lets out a sigh, the man thanks Kaito and Kaito tilts his head a little bit like a child then the man starts telling him the same thing he had been thinking about he wonders if this mage is also a magic mind reader or if he was maybe a trouble maker of his own or his brain finally clicked and he hears the spot the man said to drop them at and he makes the portals and he starts to do everything he can to get them all to the spot and he wondered really that was and why this man just had him bomb that spot but it was already too late to stop it and the bombs rain down there. "Okay done I hope that was a good choice of a place."

He looks around and he gets everyone back inside and he has Revy get food and drinks for the man so they can rest. Revy starts cleaning up as they go so that the party goes can eat drink and make marry when ever they see fit to in the near future as the night is still only still winding down. He talks to the guild master and he gives the all clear while giving Amir all the credit for saving the day and clearing out the guild hall and the people as well as disarming the bombs  and as a true hero that not only saved his life but the lives of many people this day and that they should send him off win style for the night, Kaito smiles and rubs the back of the head and nods along.

Kaito walks with the master and some of the other members as they go over a check list and they start to think about how this is gonna look bad or good but it was great to see that Infinty Wolves had a blooming talent coming up through their ranks they should be so proud of the man they have raising in the world and saving an S-rank and the people of Magnolia along with Fairy Tail he may just be hailed a hero of the guild and of the people around these parts.

If he were to return someday maybe he will be able to reap the rewards of the heroic work that he had done for these people and for the guild with how he handled the bombs and took care of the weakened and injured Kaito who was too weak to keep fighting or really help Amir the big strong and brave man that he is causing Amir to have to do all the heavy lifting.

Kaito decided he might as well give this man a bit of a career boost to help him get his name and face out there among the big and famous maybe he will even make it into the mage magazine that Kaito had heard people that had up and coming talents in it and the struggles that might come for them in the near future he hopes they will write nice things about Amir if they are gonna right about Amir and his brave feats of bravery that he showed here today, and they can write about Kaito as the bumbling S-Rank that needed to be cleaned up after in all aspects of the word and hard work that could have been done to make this place a better one for everything and everyone.

Amir could only watch as the bombs were disposed off. He had hoped the man dropped them in them perfectly to wipe out 87% of the tribe but did not get his hopes up. Amir was still working with the knowledge that the best genocide was done with ones own hands. He will make sure the blood debt gets repaid. “That was perfectly executed. The place was most likely barren. It can be considered a cursed place to some.”

The next part was the hardest part cleaning up. Amir started to do so as a reflex reaction, he believed it a chance to look for clues as to the person that attacked him. He did not see the battle so was unsure if Kaito ended the attackers life. It was too much uncertainty for his own liking. Revy the helpful was too kind. She brought him refreshments that helped clear his mind. It made Amir stop cleaning. Not because he wanted to but because his body was too tired. Amir decided it was about time to depart.

Amir went to find Kaito to say his goodbyes. He was amused with the mage avoiding the publicity and handing it to Amir. The scholar preferred to stay out of the spotlight but his future guild could use the publicity. He would get the chance and drop off a few words.

“Well. It was fun, Kaito. I hope we can have greater adventures in the future. This time with me saving your life.” He would joke as he left the guildhall to recover.
