Kazimir Seiryu

Kazimir hopped down the steps from the elder’s room and met the young warrior. The beaded braid bounced against Kaz's chest, and it felt odd to be on the other end of it. It felt…Heavy. “What is it?” He asked…his first question as to the true Elder of the wind clan.

“Something is happening at the sealed cave. I saw one of those red winged angels enter it,” Tokaki said and spun back around ready to head out on Kaz’s order. Kazimir, looked around, “Take a few of the constellations with you and stop the angel. If they are trying to release the Fallen then we have to act fast. There is no time for training now.” The wind mage said and the warrior nodded and took off. He grabbed two others and they dashed toward the cave. As they ran, they buffed themselves and cast armor of wind.

An explosion burst wood and debris into the air.

A fire burst to life at the other end of the camp. The kids screamed and ran out of the home they were in. The warrior was on their heels to protect them. Kaz flew up and saw a group of assassins setting fire to the camp and throwing magical bombs. “Go check that out. Kaga you lead them. Ame, make sure the kids are safe,” He called out. It didn’t feel like he was giving orders like he was in the knights or running a guild this time though. It felt…different somehow he couldn’t put his finger on. Natural.

Kazimir flew towards the cave, as he believed it was the most pressing issue. He landed in front of the cave as darkness was clawing at the walls. The trees cracked at the roots from the wave of power that pulsed from the cave. One warrior held his hands high with a wind barrier at the mouth of the cave. Another warrior drug Tokaki out of the mouth of the cave. The man was unconscious but Kaz could feel the vibrations of his heart.

The wind mage dashed forward, “What happened?”

“We got here and the angels took off like a…I guess bat out of hell isn’t right,” The warrior presses his hands forward, reinforcing the barrier as his allies came through. “The this darkness jumped us all at once. Toka took the biggest hit.”

Kazimir helped pull the man back away from the cave and gave the order to get him back to camp and to safety. “Hurry,” Kazimir said. “I’ll be fine,” he affirmed and the warrior took off, leaving just Kaz and the barrier mage.

“Alright…let it out and let’s deal with it,” they had to sooner or later and the warrior couldn’t keep the barrier up forever. The wind dissipated and a dark knight jumped out of the cave and over Kaz’s head. It landed with a thunderous boom on the ground. Two swords at its sides and red eyes peering through a dark helmet. Thick armor covered its ghostly body.

It turned, with shoulders bobbing up and down. Its fingers rolled open and close on the hilt of its sword, glaring at Kazimir and ignoring the existence of the warrior. “At last…we meet, Tarasious…You must be.”

Kaz stepped forward confused. This was one of the few times he had heard one speak.

“It has been too many years…my people have told me of you. Descendent of my enemy. The one who cast me into that oblivion.”

Kaz swallowed. It was this moment. As if History was repeating itself for the Fallen One. “Listen. It doesn’t have to be this way. Just tell me what happened. Why it all ended up this way?”

“Too many questions. None of that matters. Reasons. Right or Wrong. Nothing will change the face that I was killed and bound to that prison. Or that I wil devout my afterlife to your demise. Our fight is inevitable.” The being slammed his sword together and a myriad of tiny explosions erupted in a line toward Kazimir. The wind mage jumped out of the way, but a secondary explosion caught him. The wind mage squinted through the pain. The general jumped beside him and struck another sword blow. As the sword landed it exploded and sent Kaz backward again. The wind mage was juggled between explosions.

Kaz hit the ground. The general towered over him with swords held high, “Pay for your history,” the general said with a thousand years of glee. Kaz slashed wind into the general’s eyes. He would not be defeated by something he had no stake in.

“My ancestor's actions are not my own. And I will not be defeated by the demons of his past,” kaz gathered wind around himself and floated upward. With a roar to the heavens, the white tiger appeared. Tornadoes crashed down on the area and ravaged the General. The barrier mage stood awestruck. Kazimir dashed in with two blades of wind behind him and flung them into the general’s body.

Kaz landed in front of the fallen general. The dark knight's body was already beginning to fade away. “I am sorry things ended this way. But I have to move forward.”

The general's helmet split, revealing the face of a man, “You have to fight for your people…I had to fight for mine. It is the same now…as it was then.

Kazimir, Descendent of my enemy.” The general spoke and vanished. The rest of the fallen vanished one by one until all was silent. The darkness in the cave receded.

The young child from the wind clan, raced down the mountain, now that the path was clear, “Kazimir,” they breathed heavily. “It's the arena. Some angel showed up, and a portal opened.”

“Are you safe,” Kaz asked and directed the child to the healer mage. “The angel is after the Celestial spirits!” The child replied. Kaz’s mouth ran dry. The threat of the fallen was gone so they could refocus now. “Everyone who is able, we head to the mountain arena now.” The group gathered and raced up the mountain. Kaz’s griffon flew down and scooped up the wind mage. The healer did what he could for their injuries as they arrived at the arena.

“Kazimir,” Byakko’s humanoid form appeared to them. “The angel is within our realm. I can open a path for you. Can you defeat him?”

Kazimir stepped closer to Byakko, “Yes,” was all he said. He lokoed back at the seven warriors that had all arrived for this one purpose. They stood ready and vigilant.

“What better way to start our journey than here,” Kaga loosed her bow and nocked an arrow. Kazimir smiled at the rebirth of his clan. His childhood home. “We are ready,” kaz replied. Byakko stepped to the side and a portal of white light roared to life. Wind blew so harshly that they had to look away and cover their faces as it opened. The portal to the celestial realm. Kazimir gave one last nod to Byakko. The only thing that had been with him hsi whole life and was still around.

“Brother,” Byakko said and turned into wind.

Kazimir stepped into the white portal and the others leaped through behind him. The world was filled with wind and winding bridges, that led to very few stable platforms. The warriors ran down the bridges. Kazmir flew through the spiraling paths. In the distance was a large floating landmass adorned with images of clans and wind magic runes. It had towering columns that held the different floors in place.
