Kaito

It is a late brisk night out the moon is high in the sky shining, Kaito is soaking in the male bath leaned back with his eyes closed to soak away his long day of questing and just looking to relax and let his stress melt away. A woman's scream rings out and Kaito jumps to his feet he is wearing sakura flower printed swimming shorts and wraps his towel around his waist sliding his gloves on his hands in case he needs to help someone.

Then he sees a heath colored cat like creature climbing up over the dividing wall into the male bath with a bag on its back. He hurries over and grabs ahold of it as it drops from the wall. It starts struggling but he doesn't let it make contact with his skin, cause he doesn't want to hurt it just find out what it had done to cause a woman to scream bloody murder like he just heard.

Kaito

”Unhand me you big oaf!” She keeps fighting him holding her trying to kick, but soon realizes he is not gonna just let her go cause she tells him too. She settles down a bit knowing he is trying his best to hold her but not harm her so he can't be all bad like some other adventurers who tried to capture her like a simple beast. ”What did you do?” His tone is stern yet kind.

The exceed looks up at the man and blinks with a devious smile. ”She called me a filthy animal, so I stole something from her.” She reaches into her bag and pulls out the woman's underwear. Kai sighs and places her down and points for the exceed to sit and stay sat.

Kai rubs some dirt on his face and gloves and starts making noise like there was a fight going on on the mans bath side, then takes the underwear from the small cat like creature and walks into the changing room where he is met by the elder owner who asks him what happened.

Kaito

Kai weaves a believable story of a man that had come over the wall with the underwear in hand and Kai caught him red handed but he put up a fight then jumped the outer wall dropping the underwear as he fled. Kai sees the owner is eating it up and he tells her he is ashamed he failed to capture the man, then bows and the elder woman thanks him for at least being able to retrieve the stolen items so she can return them. She goes to pat his head then remembers why he books the bath to himself so late at night and gives him a credit for a better herbal bath for a later date.

He thanks her for not holding it against him and seeing him as an incompetent man for failing to capture the man. She knows he is a decent enough man and she bows and heads out of the male changing room.

Kaito

Kai walks back in and is surprised to see the creature is still there where he told her to stay, he removes the towel showing his swimming trunks again and places his gloves back by the side of the bath like they were and he gets back in and sits then waves the creature over, she walks over slowly like a child that just got scolded by a parent. ”That is the one time I will cover for you. Stealing isn't okay no matter the reason.” She looks at him and wonders why he didn't just rat her out.

”Why would you cover for me to start with?” She puffs her cheeks like a spoiled child looking away from him. Kaito laughs softly and looks at her, figuring everyone deserves a second chance. ”Well for one I have never seen anything like you, plus I know what it is like to be spoken down to like that and want to act on the hurt feeling it gives you.” He is use to being called a freak and a monster from when he was younger, he smiles softly at the exceed not wanting to make her feel like he is mad at her.

Kaito

The female exceed looks at him and sees his goofy innocent smile at her and his words held no trace of anger at her or distain. He seems like he is naïve and kind. She doesn't really trust him though but she feels she owes him for not ratting her out to the owner and get her in trouble, and making a fool of himself to the owner. ”I am Kaito by the way.” He looks to her to learn her name. ”My name is Revy...” No one has ever asked her name before on her travels.

He warns her about his curse but invites her into the bath to soak cause he wasn't quite ready to leave yet and he knew he was gonna have to help sneak her out cause he can sense the extra patrol outside looking for a man that he made up. She removes her Santa gear and gets in maturely and respectfully so she doesn't get him in trouble and soaks enjoying how the water feels contrasting to the colder air she makes sure to respect his space as she soaks.

Kaito

Her stomach growls cause she was hungry, she looks embarrassed at this happening and Kai laughs softly. ”Sounds like it is time to get out and find some late night eats no worries it is on me cause you behaved.” She smiles at him saying it was on him, but knows he is just being nice and friendly to her.

They get out and she gets toweled off along with him, she puts her Santa gear back on then they head into the changing room and he has her sit on the other side of the room while he changes into his normal clothes, she sneaks a peek and seeks a horrible looking scar that goes from the top of his shoulder all the way to the opposite side of his lower back. He finishes getting dressed and he puts her in his cloak on his back to hold on while he walks out.

Kaito

After they are clear of the bath house he kneels and lets her get down so she can walk on her own. He leads her to a taiyaki stall cause it was late and they only need to be eating something lighter. She wonders if it was cause she was an exceed or because he was looking for something warm to eat cause it is chilly.

She gladly takes hers and eats it while walking with him. Kai heads for his apartment while eating and when they get to his place. He keels and looks at her with a smile.”This is where we split ways my new little friend please stay outta trouble.” He laughs softly, she looks up at him and feels sad, she feels she has bonded to this man but he seems hopeless.

She stands tall with her hands on her hips and gives him a cocky smile and uses a voice brimming with confidence then points at him. ”You are in luck I have been looking for a partner! I choose you, you should be proud, you are the first human that has impressed Revy the great.” He laughs softly at this confidence she has and feels a warm feeling in his chest. ”I accept your offer, Miss Revy the great.” They shake hands and he leads her inside his apartment ready for the interesting future this might bring.
