Poropo Poproporp
Poropo was on his way to the Crimson Quarter with a special item he had to borrow from the Hosenka Treasury, "the Book of...something, the name is scratched off for some reason. I am glad they let me borrow it...I just hope I can return it, too." As usual, the job for spy Poropo was to gather information on the four criminals to like to host meetings. So far, the monk has obtained their names and the location they work - Igor was the ringleader, Revolt used memory magic to clean up messes, and the other two were George and Lancer.

"Strange names which do not seem to be aliases, as far as I could tell last time - I was sweating profusely and my hands were shaking so who knows if my insight was sharp?" mumbled the monk as he arrived at the criminals' headquarters. What this building was for or the main operation these criminals ran was unknown to Poropo - figuring out these key pieces of information was his job this time, so the pressure was still going strong.

Arriving at the criminal building, the old woman who's memory was wiped was still smiling gently at whomever walked in or out. Poropo was disguised as he always was, so the greeting from the old woman was the same, "Hello! I am...who am I?"

"My name is Poropo and you are Madame," said the monk while walking past the old woman, fearful of meeting the same fate - having one's memory wiped was a dreadful experience, imagined the monk. To never again know the person you are, at least not from your own perspective - an awful way to die.

The monk continued walking through the many hallways of the building and eventually came to the loading and unloading area where crates were stacked from floor to ceiling. The monk's job was to actually open one of these crates, or more than one, and find out what was inside - not even the Hosenka authorities knew what this criminal building was meant to be exchanging or transporting, but they felt the contents of these countless crates must be worth investigating. After all, many known criminals or ex-criminals worked inside this building for one reason or another.

The monk had a book with him, too, in case he needed to present the book to the four leaders of this criminal building. Igor, the leader among leaders, would likely be happy to receive the Book of Something - the reason for Igor's interest in the book was not given to Poropo last time so this was another piece of information the monk could try to obtain.

The disguised monk waddled to one of the crates and tried to have a peek, but a familiar voiced called out to the curious Poropo, "Good to see you came back, Mr. Poproporp! I see you have a book with you - let's talk about it in a little meeting." The monk begrudgingly followed behind the voice belonging to Igor, one of the four leaders of this criminal organization - the monk was so close to peeking inside just one of the many crates, but Igor got in the way just in time.

"Yes, I will follow, Igor," responded the monk as soon as possible - Poropo did not want Igor or the other leaders to become suspicious because the monk wanted to check a crate of all things. If he was part of this criminal organization, he would likely already know the contents of the crates.

"What's in these crates anyway? I have no clue at all," overheard the monk from a worker in the distance - the other goons here did not seem to know the contents of these crates either, which troubled the monk but also gave some relief. For the crates to be kept so secretive meant the monk could honestly answer he had no clue of the crates' contents.

The monk followed Igor through many more floors and corridors in order to reach a seemingly random location within the oddly large, criminal building where a meeting was going to take place - the other three leaders of the criminal organization were already present and eating some good-looking food. Poropo was glad there was food present - the monk was a hungry individual most of the time since his great heft required much nourishment.

"Mmm, good looking food...could I have some while we have this meeting?" asked the monk as innocently as possible. Igor nodded his head as even gave Poropo a seat to sit on - nothing special about the seat, but to be given a place at one of these meetings felt special to the monk despite being a spy for the Hosenka authorities. Perhaps the monk was proud to have made his way this far into the organization without being caught, but the only real way to know if the monk was caught as a spy would be to be caught as a spy.

Sitting down, the monk put the special book on the coffee table and sat back to clasp his hands and pray, "Oh Iro-...I want to thank you for this good food...thank you."

The monk prayed, took a look around to see if the criminal leaders seemed to think something strange of Poropo, and started reaching for food. Oddly enough, the criminal seemed to respect Poropo's praying - perhaps they were not so evil after all, but they did use memory magic to erase a memories. The monk needed to remind himself of all their evil deeds in order to properly gather the information he needed instead of becoming absorbed in the criminal organization.

"As you can all see, Poropo has brought us the book," said Igor to start off the meeting - the whole point of this meeting seemed to be the book, a book which the monk still did not know anything about aside from the age being ancient and the name being scratched out.

The monk decided to speak up while stuffing his gullet, "Mmn...yes, the book is nice - why did you want it?" The monk was succumbing to the good food and decided to just outright ask the question on his mind. The monk also decided to include another question before anyone could think about answering the first, "Swallow...and also, why do you have so many meetings?" The monk may have dug his own grave for even suggesting these four criminals had many meetings.

The four criminals started to look at Poropo funny and then burst out laughing - the monk seems to have amused them with his questions. The monk stayed calm thanks to the presence of food, but the sweat the monk knew himself for was starting to seep from his sun-burnt skin. The criminals would not stop laughing, especially Lancer - Lancer seemed to be the most emotional of the four leaders, a trait a normal leader would not have.

Poropo was felt off about letting the four men laugh so long without a clear reason as to why, but enough food to satisfy Poropo's hunger was present so the monk remained silent until his questions were answered. Lancer did speak up through his laughter, "HAH! I guess we do have a lot of meetings, ha ha ha!"

Revolt was laughing the least but also had trouble speaking through his laughter, "I have never set up a meeting, but you are right! Feel free to blame George for setting them all up, hah!" The criminals were starting to point fingers at one another which could leader to a tense situation after the laughter inevitably died down - the monk wasn't sure he wanted to stay for the aftermath of all this finger pointing.

The monk still had not gotten an answer to either of his questions and was becoming increasingly more anxious. The laughter was dying down at least so the monk just kept stuffing his mouth in hopes of just eating his worries away. The last person to speak through the laughter before everything settled down was George, "HAH! ME!? Nah, I think Igor sets up more meetings than the rest of us combined! HAH HAH!"

Igor stopped laughing before responding and just smiled while trying to settled the situation, "Alright alright, enough laughing - Poropo asked us one serious question." Igor looked to the monk still stuffing his face and said, "the book is a way to augment out magical powers in special, specific ways. It can make a weak mage like you a master in a heartbeat in a matter of seconds. There is supposedly a cost, but I'm sure it can be ignored."

The monk stopped eating and dropped the food he had in his hands - Poropo was stunned to think a book of such power existed! If Poropo was weak despite being able to summon the First Arch Immortal, then just imagining what Igor's current magical power must be like scared the monk! Granted, Igor should not know the monk used magic.

"Then again, I don't actually know if you use magic - sorry for assuming," said Igor, correcting his assumption. The monk sighed in relief while staring at the book - Poropo could hardly believe his luck as a spy so far, but he just had to keep going and hope the Iron Deity was still blessing the devote monk.

"Yeah, that's actually a good point - do you know magic, Poropo?" ask Revolt who had calmed down after Igor's description of the book's capabilities - the other criminals seemed to calm down immediately as well, as if possessed by the power the book offers. These criminals were extremely serious in regards to gaining more power.

The monk hesitated to answer and stalled by eating a bit more food before responding, "Um...I do know how to use magic...I use-" The monk was cut off by Lancer who was more excited to know the disguised monk knew magic rather than what magic Poropo used.

"What!? Really!? You!? HAH! Today's a good day for laughing, HAHAH!" Lancer bellowed through more laughter - not even the prospect of power could stop Lancer from being emotional. The monk being what he looked like must have amused Lancer to no end, but Poropo did not mind as long as he could live through this meeting.

The monk did not continue his answer in order to stop any further information about himself from leaking - Poropo was not good at keeping secrets about himself so given the chance to stop answering was a blessing. The disguised monk did feel like prying some information out of them, just so he could leave satisfied, "Why do you need more magic power? You, all of you, seem strong enough to me."

Igor seemed amused by Poropo's question and compliment, "Much appreciated, but if we want to be the top gang in Hosenka then we need firepower. We already control all the other gangs' weapon and armor supplies, but we can use it against them to gain their territory." Igor's words answered everything the monk needed to know! A few bites of food later, the monk decided he should begin his exit - not too quickly, of course, but fast enough to feel free of this meeting and to report to the Hosenka Authorities.

"Ah, that is a noble goal. Is there anything I could try and retrieve for you?" The monk felt like this question was digging a deeper hole for himself, but the diligent monk believed a deep enough hole could lead to treasure as well. The treasure in this case would be more chances to gather information and foil future plans.

Revolt decided to answer Poropo instead of Igor, but Revolt looked strangely at the monk for asking such a question, "you have not even been paid yet - how can you be in such a rush to keeping steal? Are you that arrogant?" The monk felt he had angered Revolt, the one criminal the monk wanted to avoid angering at all costs! Revolt was confirmed to know a memory-based magic which scared the disguised monk. With careful consideration, the monk attempted to answer Revolt.

"I except to be paid, yes, but I just wanted you all to know I am ready for more work. I may be a little arrogant, but I have followed through so far," replied the monk as calmly as possible - there may have been a hint of emotion behind the monk's words, but Poropo felt he got a calm point across to Revolt.

"Yeah, leave the guy along, Revolt - he delivered and I have his money right here," said George as a sack of jewels was tossed to the unaware monk - the monk was focused on Revolt's mood which did not seem to lessen. The monk had hit a sore spot for the memory mage, but George came in to pay Poropo - this pay would greatly increase Poropo's already high reward from the Hosenka authorities.

"Thank you...well, I come around often - if you need me for anything else then I appreciate contact. Have a good day." The monk left with information and jewels, the former of which he would give the Hosenka authorities.
