With everything that had taken place over the past few months, its became harder and harder for someone with his skill set to find work that was of any challenge that it is. It would seem that the world had once again entered a time of peace which was nice but for someone like him as that meant he didn't have to get his hands dirty, while the other half just wanted to set things ablaze and torture people. Fair-weather was a sign that Azure could relax and not have to think about his next big con or even how he was going to deal with the Knights who have become more aggressive as of late.

Azure walked through the residents while keeping his ears open to anything that might have even seemed worth his time but then again this was Astera. A place that wasn't really known for its crime or connections to the underworld not saying that they don't exist. The scholar would soon make his way to the marketplace where he looked through all the wanna-be treasurer hunters set up to find any diamonds among the rough.

Some of their findings had some merit but at the same time, the majority of it was just things that they had re-painted or just thrown together. Man, I could make something way better than this junk if I wanted, he thought to himself, the junk was nice but the books were always more his style. Given that he more or less took a large amount, former partners nothing was out of the realm of possibilities. "Maybe I should get some new clothes to spice things up a bit?" he asked himself aloud looking at the slight tatters on his current outfit. The scholar stopped for a second and looked to the sky for a moment to see his partner flying high above It's nice seeing her out and about, he thought as the cool air pushed the hair in front of his eyes.

As he brushed the hair behind his ears he finished his walk to the book stands the merchant looked him over once or twice as if to tell him that the books were right up his ally which didn't really matter to him given that he would read almost anything if it had some entertainment for him. The collection went from folk tales all the way down to simple enchantments which were useful but weren't anything for him to really ponder over. Now with his window shopping down the scholar moved on to the Docks as the sea never always had a way of clearing his head from what he could remember that is.

This place has much to offer to someone that wishes to leave their old self behind and start anew but given that this was his new life. Part of him did think about how his life could have been if he hadn't gone after his wayward sibling and simply kept working with his father. On the way to the docks, one of his many friends had left him a note about wanting to meet in regards to a job offer, which something he wasn't going to say no to when he could use some thrill in these slow days. After arriving at the docks Azure started to make mental notes about where he could set up shop.

While he looked around he noticed that someone had been following for some time now and knowing his luck it wasn't anyone interesting. Two options were now placed before him either ignore them or confront them?

Without really thinking Azure summoned Ignis to his side as a would-be knight tried to take him by surprise "Ya I don't really know what made you think that I wouldn't notice a tail?" he told the knight as the golem held both their arms normally in a situation like this the standard response is to kill them and send the body back but this time was going to be different. All types of thoughts had started to run through his mind now that he had a knight in his possession but at the same time he was in need of more accurate information on the Knights, This should cure my boredom for a time he thought to himself as Ignis slowly lowered the poor man. Not wanting to create an even showed he looked for a ship or boat to use for their little talk "You not gonna get away with assaulting a Knight on top of all your other crimes." he said while Azure looked around for an empty boat.  

He walked onto a boat along with the man to keep their talk more private, luckily the boat was empty for the time being. "You are going to take me to your location around here and then we'll play a nice little game after okay?" he asked the knight who had begun shaking. This had placed the informant into new territory as no one within his field had ever done anything so dangerous before as to willingly walk into an enemy home with a problem. Without a moment's delay, the blue-haired boi sent his summon away and helped the knight to their feet, and walked with them back to the hotel that he staying at for the time being. The first thing that was done once they entered the room was removing the knight's equipment and tossing it less he trie and use their little toy on him.

Now that the Knight was disarmed Azure flicked his wrist and gestured for Ignis to restrain the man "I'm really surprised you let me disarm you without a fight normally you fight back." a true statement that did leave him with some questions as to why they never called for any backup or even why they weren't in their uniform regardless of their reasoning he needed to update his information on the Knights and the other guild. Azure was actually lost on what to do next with his now hostage given that this was not on his to-do list for today or any list for that matter which was nice but also rather frustrating."I'll do anything that you want so long as I get to work outta her alive," he begged looking at the ground while shaking nervously.

Not wanting to waste such a good situation he and then man created an arrangement that would benefit both of them but mostly the scholar. "So that all you have to do and then I'll let you go without a fight sound good Ian?" he asked to which the knight nodded in agreement and now that they have made a deal it was time for it to be put to action. Part of the scholar felt like he was making one of the worst mistakes of their life but at the same time, they did want to take more risks, while the other half was wishing that they were able to place a bomb seal on the knight as insurance. He let the man go to get what he asked for and nothing more hopefully.


Within a matter of two hours, the man rushed back to the room with a mess of documents that pertain to all the current Knights and their ranks even though some of the information that was there was largely incomplete but that was to be expected when it's not the main HQ but it still had its use.

With his information slightly more updated all that was left to do was fill in the blanks and then proceed accordingly but that could come later as he needed to track down a few people that have made their to Astera. The child half of his mind was already creating plans to fight them while the other half was thinking of all the outcomes from each encounter which created more problems than solutions but that was something that he could handle later on. After going through the information again the scholar realized that there was a file hidden within the rest "I take it this was your mission then?" Ian shook his head and went on to explain the details of the mission to the informant. As the knight told him about the mission Azure's mind drifted off every now and then until he concluded, both men stood up and walked around the room for a minute to wake up their legs.

"So you want me to take down this guy and that's all?" Ian nodded as he showed him the photo of the man he now had to kill or incapacitate either way he wouldn't have to deal with the knights for a while assuming he keeps his end of the deal. A simple arrangement that had many issues that would need to be ironed out before any moves were actually made by either side which was fine with him. Now with the deal made the scholar let the poor knight go so he could plan out just how to take down of higher standing than himself.
