Tempris was in the City Center looking for something to snack on when a stranger came up to her. The woman reeked of a certain drink normally had by the older sinners. The cold memories of Tempris losing her own self control at the bar made her hesitant. Tempris however stood her ground. She listened to the woman's words.

She drunkenly explain how she was a frequent fighter in the tournament. She used to be the champion for many years. Then one day, some cocky mage with an unknown backstory appeared and broke her ankle. Tempris could look down and see how messed up the woman's foot was. It wasn't pretty how the base of her foot looked inverted and permanently turned in. The woman needed to be save, but now was not the time. Now was the time to make money needed for her future goal.

After the sob story, Tempris got the lady to move along to the important thing. What did she want Tempris to do. The woman has heard of Tempris's previous rankings with other tournaments and thought she would be the perfect help her get back at the current champion. Tempris could only laugh, clearly over the drunken nature and smell of the woman. She had no problem beating up some heretics, especially since she got to use her sword.

The bell rung. Tempris stood in the ring with her sword on the ground. Her hands gripped the handle but she did not want to fight gravity yet. She needed her energy to crush her opponent. She wanted to destroy their spirit and maybe some bones. The opponent was a girl with a 1 hand sword. Tempris was not worried about this. The woman charged Tempris but Tempris started her cleave and slammed her weapon into the woman's side.

The woman squirmed nearly reaching the end of the ring but Tempris was not done fighting yet. She dragged her sword along the ring till she reached the woman. Then she grabbed the woman's leg and pulled her closer to the center of the ring. Killing was allowed in this tourney but Tempris could not ruin the client's rep. So Tempris just simply slammed her weapon into the womans ankle, breaking it and removing the woman's ability to walk. Now the woman could be allowed to leave.

Tempris laughed as she stepped on the woman's back. Her sinister smile creeped its ugly head. "How would you feel about having your sins purged ms?" The woman trembled as Tempris brought her holy sword the the heretic's neck. She closed her eyes and hid her face in the stage. "Come see me after. I will be happy to free you from this horrible world." Temrpis then lifted her foot before slipping it under the injured woman. Then with one swift motion, the woman was tossed out of the ring rolling.

The air was silent as Tempris returned her blade to the hook on her back. She looked around to see all eyes on her. Were they disappointed she won? Did they not like like the way the battle ended. This was as Illumin willed. So she closed her eyes pulling back her same. All she needed was Illumin. Shortly after, the crowd went wild. Her smile shifted to corner of her mouth. A little praise is not so bad though.

Tempris went back to the room assigned to her. Such a fun fight was something she wanted to thank Illumin for privately. She dawned her veil. Then she went to her knees and clapped her hands together. Her soft words went through various events of the previous match. Being able to allow the woman to feel the warmth, the love of Illumin, was all she could ask for. Well, actually... being able to send her soul to Illumin would have brought Tempris the ultimate happiness but once again, this was for the job. This was not the her own wishes. Plus the woman could always come to her later.

It was time for the last match. Tempris stepped into the ring. Her next opponent was a large man. She beaten the guy before, kicking him in the nuts because of his cockiness in her first tournament. Then she dragged him out the ring and kicked him out of the ring. There were no weapons or magic allowed in that fight so the man was extremely embarrassed. This time, he was not going to hold back. In fact, he was going to completely go all out even though it was probably a bad idea. Then again, it was Tempris Ashflare he was fighting.

The man slammed his fist into the ground and earth magic swarmed around the man. Magical circles exploded around him further empowering his earthly magics. Then the man just dropped kicked the air and a giant stone flung itself at Tempris nearly hitting her. Lucky for the girl, she was short and was able to slide under the rock. Only the man was not done. One uppercut later and a huge piece of stone jetting out of the stage which nearly sent the girl into the air. However, Tempris slammed her sword into the ground to come to a halt. She ran up the earth pillar while using her impaled blade as a support. once on her feet, the pillar disappeared and the man was charging her. This was perfect.

Rolling her shoulders, Tempris spawned wings of flame and ascended into the air over the man. Then she deactivated her magic and dropped on the man's head and slammed her flaming sword into the man's head. Was he dead? Tempris was sure he was not dead. The man was hard headed after all. He tried to get back up but he fell after stumbling over his foot. He was out. Tempris won. The woman came on to the stage and gave Tempris her money reward. She was now the new champion.
