Knowledge meant little if you didn't have the power and experience to wield it properly. It was something Esperia started to consider something akin to a belief, a motto even and in her opinion one way to obtain experience was through a fairly simple method, a method as old as time itself: training.

It was for that reason Esperia had ventured into the Sigmundir Passes, wanting to try out some of her spells. She had started to get a solid grasp on how her Kamui magic worked, but there were still some improvements that could be made, something Esperia was quite aware of.

Standing on top of a bridge that crossed over one of the passes, Esperia knew from her earlier trip along the area that there was some sort of cave underneath the bridge, a passageway stretching underneath her, but jumping off the bridge would likely reduce most people to the state of a pancake. So what did Esperia do? Exactly, with a small rush she jumped off the ledge, almost feeling the urge to make a childish 'wee~' as she plummeted into the depths.

Of course she had a plan, and as she started to see the ground rapidly getting closer she swayed her staff lightly in order to create a swirling vortex around her, allowing the Kamui magic to suck her into the dimension, and as soon as she arrived? Landing onto her feet in the Kamui dimension Esperia hopped out of it again, this time landing gracefully on the ground in the passageway without a single injury.

The power of Kamui Phase certainly had its uses, she might even be able to use this in order to escape from an enemy's bindings, a clever tactic, but she still felt like she could do more, that she could learn more, and so Esperia made her way into the cave up ahead!

Once inside the cavern, Esperia's gaze drifted around the area, using Morrigan's staff to illuminate the area while she searched for anything interesting. She wasn't really certain what she was expecting, nor what she was looking for, but perhaps it was for that reason she felt excited, almost as if she was going on an adventure!

Making her way deeper inside the cavern Esperia soon noticed something quite peculiar, the fact that for a cavern it was too well-maintained. She didn't see any wild predators yet, nor any signs of the weathering of time, it almost seemed like this cavern was used by something or someone. Unfortunately, Esperia's thoughts proved to be on point when she heard something stirring in the darkness. She held her staff close to her, ready for a potential ambush but the predator that appeared was not the one she had expected! A huge rat came lunging at her, making Esperia instinctively tap the bottom of her staff on the ground, a pair of frost-elemental missiles being formed around her that rapidly rushed toward the rat, each missile impaling the creature and making it collapse onto the ground with a heavy thud. However, that was not the end of it, for a light tremor coursed through the cavern, making part of the ceiling collapse!

Fortunately Esperia had seen it in time, her eyes narrowing as a vortex started to suck away the rocks into the Kamui dimension, allowing Esperia to breathe a sigh of relief. It would had done her little good to get stuck in a cave-in, especially here of all places! But for now she decided to head out again, not wanting to test her luck against whatever else was lurking within the cave. But for now? For now she was satisfied with her results...
