It seemed that the result of her previous request ended so well that Alice Nightingale, the star idol, wrote her a letter requesting of her assistance at the theatre, once again. With her being running to and from the theatre so frequently, one would even think that the building was her second home. The letter was written with precision and grace, just like the writer herself, as if they spent a good ounce of their time to outline but a simple request, which was to perform in the show.

Wait a second.

Her eyes went back a few sentences before and re-read the message again and it was somewhere along the lines of: “I’d like it if you could perform on the stage together with me”. The woman let out an audible groan, acting again. She didn’t really enjoy doing the particular role, although with her multiple personalities and ever-so shifting identity, it wasn’t that difficult for her to adapt into whatever role she was given. But, the job itself was one Venus wouldn’t enjoy having for the long-term.

With the urgent message delivered at the doorstep, Venus decided that she would help, and the good thing was that she would also get a good pay from this as well. Thus, with her trusted weapon draped over her shoulder, she departed the inn, in which she had been renting for the entirety of the duration she was in Marigold that even the old lady by the counter greets her every time she leaves the building.

Several minutes of meandering through the streets and between the groups of crowds, Venus finally arrived her destination to the theatre. There, her client awaited in her private dressing room once again for her arrival. Venus left her abode earlier than usual, since she was required to perform, it was also possible she needed to get ready and fitted for the outfit and the like..

”Got your message, Alice. You wanted me to act?”

The Siren leaned herself against the door after her client’s assistant led her to meet Alice Nightingale. She had to admit the star idol spent excessively long hours in her dressing room just to get everything perfect for the show, only then she realised it wasn’t easy being a star idol.

”We’re performing ‘Romeo and Juliet’ today, and I want you to be my Romeo, please.” She pleaded through the mirror as she got her hair curled and perfected by the artist. ”You’d be the perfect Romeo.”

That comment nearly got her choking – Venus would be better of acting as Juliet, although she could see the reason why she was more suitable for Romeo. The hunter had the opposite characteristic as Juliet; where Juliet was elegant and feminine, well, she was more brash and sensual. ”Well, fine. Not like I have a choice.” Venus yanked the script book out of the assistant hands so she could familiarize herself with the lines. It wasn’t as though she needed to remember every lines, right? She could just wing it and the audience would still buy whatever gibberish she was saying.

And so, the next few hours went somewhat like this; rushing back and forth between the dressing rooms changing outfits, getting herself measured for the dress and tying up her hair so that it could all be kept under the hairnet and a wig would be fitted whilst memorizing her lines all at the same time. With everything that was going on, it was rather pressuring but nothing she struggled handling and as hours passed by for preparation, the time was finally ready for both of them to get on stage. The redhead submerged herself entirely into the role of Romeo, that even some members of the audience shed tears for the tear-jerking play. When the last scene finally came, she would hold Juliet in her arms and put on the most sorrowful act as she faked a few tears before kissing the actress on the lips bidding her farewell and killing herself off.

The kiss wasn’t something she felt uncomfortable about, especially when she was the kind who was interested in both genders. In fact, it was the only good thing that she got in return aside from the money. A loud round of applause rippled through the entire hall and that was enough to tell her that the performance went more than a success.

Her request finally ended with a comment from her client that left her smirking, ”See, I told you that you’d be the perfect Romeo.”
