RingToday's job was a bit different from the things she had been doing recently. Rather than delivering medicine or searching for herbs, the elf had been requested to help a bakery with their cupcake deliveries, a trivial task to most, but a job was a job, and if she could help out some people while getting paid for the work, then Nyancelot would see no reason for her not to take on the work.
Even now it was a peculiar feeling, the way she was carrying the box full of cupcakes, their delicious scent that waffed through the air, as if to tempt her. Yet the fair elven maiden would not indulge in something like gluttony! No, instead she went around delivering all the delicious cupcakes till not a single one was left in the boxes.
Returning toward the bakery the Exceed's gaze shifted toward Lily as he asked with a hopeful voice. "Can we use some jewels to buy some?" To which Lily started to ponder. "Hmm..." The Exceed bounced on the pavement in front of her. "Surely one can't hurt?" To which the elf smiled sheepishly. "Fine one box~" The sound of that made Nyancelot let out an excited cry. "Hell yeah!" And soon he was found entering the bakery to report on their mission. For some reason the Exceed insisted in letting him do the honors and pick out some cupcakes for them to eat. All in all an idea that Lily didn't protest to.
After a few minutes the Exceed returned with a bag full of delicious sweets and a bag that contained their payment for the day. Overall it had been a well paid venture, and the cupcakes? They were the literal icing on the cake in a matter of speaking! For a job well done, deserved a full belly as well!
