It had been a rough fight for the Cold Collier. They have been extremely active regarding the fight for their rights, friends, and revenge. While some might argue their actions won't too fair, Tempris supported the passion. After all, their passion earned her a lot of money and allowed her to pursue her dream of saving people. It was unfortunate that the man was actually helping those he hated but Tempris considered herself adapted at turning the actions of sin into works for her lord. In fact, she took pleasure in it. As long as the end resulted in good, she was willing to let these sinners continue on their path of darkness. Then once they served their usefulness, she could show them the path of light and warmth.

Tempris received a letter from the Cold Collier, under a pen name of course, saying that Mattoro wanted to speak with her.

With nothing else pending and a future trip out of this side of the country she was thinking about denying the request but well… their jobs are more fun and they pay well. So she decided to delay her trip for now. When she arrived at their hideout, she saw Mattoro on a makeshift hospital bed. There was someone around him at all times signaling he was not in the best of health. Maybe his usefulness was dwindling, but she remained quiet.

He greeted her, apologizing for how he looked at the moment. He was in a rough battle that they, of course, won but he was going to be bed written for a while. He tried to lean up but the man next to him grew furious. He however counter argued that he needed to show respect to the outsider who stood by them in some of their most important fights.

Tempris laughed inside, now knowing how much they value her help. So the man backed away and let their leader talk.

The leader explained how he and his crew got into a big fight while looking up information about Frankan. He did not mention why he decided to spy more on this man after he was suppose to be innocent. While they could work on their stealth skills, they did manage to find out that Frankan was in fact actually the true one responsible and Giroud and Kalaus were actually just pawns. Tempris had to think about this. First these people are evil then they are just frame then they are evil was this man’s story ever going to be straight. With a sigh, she decided just to go with whatever he said. As long as she was paid and this was not going to be annoying, she would turn a blind eye to the inconsistencies.

She would remain silent though nodding her head with the story as if she understood and had no objections despite have a bunch of them. Especially since well, they trusted this Frankan person.

You could see it on his face. He was very bothered despite how tough he tried to look. This was the man who killed his friends, family, maybe even lover and he just let him go. Worst, pointless blood was spilled and now he was hurt. There was nothing he could do injured in bed. Also, without his leadership, his ragtag team of miners were not fighters. Frankan surely had his defenses up and ready for another attack from the group. This is where the man spoke up. He mentioned that his intel saids that Frankan had highered two powerful mages from a dark guild. They were not famous but the guild they were from were known to be a bit problematic to the rune knights.

The man wanted Tempris to go out, defeat these mages, take out Franken and make sure there were no witnesses.

Had this been legit anything else, Tempris would have refused but since she did not mind cleansing some sinners for big pay, she decided to play along.
However, things would become interesting. A young boy walked up to Tempris. He looked almost robotic as if his personality, memories, life as a whole was just… sucked out of him. However, that was not important. See, there was no reason for this kid to know she was here. In fact, he should not have even been in this area. It was strange but well, Tempris could not just attack a kid. Plus, the kid was not technically doing anything wrong. If the gang was going to attack him however, she would have an awkward time pleasing both times.

The boy did not talk but he pulled out a letter.

When Tempris took the letter, the boy disappeared, like some sort of dark night from a city of crazies who theme themselves after a bat and lost their parents despite being a billionaire playboy. She inspected the paper, making sure it was not a trap or filled with magic bombs or… lice or something stupid. After all, she did not have any cheese or two by four technology to defeat the creatures. When she opened it, she saw it was from Frankan. Now the girl was really confused.

How did he know she was here? Was this the magic of money? Once you are rich you just knew where everyone was or was this something more? Either way she read the letter and to sum it up:
She did a good thing creating peace between the gang and his organization. He wanted to meet with her so he could reward her for her troubles. After all, she took out Kalaus and Giroud and that happened to also be great for his business. He wrote his location, the back entrance to his HQ.

Tempris did not know who the bad guys were, the gang who tried to take justice in their hands or the corrupted businessman who killed or got people killed for profit. Though if she had to pick between the two, she would pick the gang every time. It was a cause she could at least sympathize with. But, now was not the time for this, she had a trap to walk into.

Tempris made her way to the meeting spot as requested from the letter. It was a quiet, cold, unpopulated area where only heretics would hang out. It was not a good look for the man but Tempris was already against him. So it did not really matter to her, though she did wish he would pick a spot that was more open to sunlight. Though, that would probably signal that this was not a trap which would make her job harder as then she would have to determine if her client was lying himself.

Still, it would not hurt to rid the world of one more sinner anyway, so maybe she could ignore that small detail in that event but once again, she was lucky that she did not have to worry about that event. Since it was obvious she was walking into a trap and this man was obviously not a saint, like her anyway.

The man himself Frankan stood not alone and did not seem to be holding some sort of reward. Unless he was planning to give her some small payment less than what was promised from her original client. This was unless there was some small relic of an item that would be worth alot of money but Tempris was not one to be overly persuaded with a gem or something. She did like nice things but it was something she earned from working hard, not her objective in life.

Having a special cool little nick nack given from a heretic was not a trophy she really wanted to brag about. It was basically like supporting sin. Of course, there were exceptions but this moment would not be one of those exceptions.

There were two people with Frankan. She did not know who they were but they were clearly not here to become followers of Illumin nor were they here to experience the salvation she wished to offer everyone. No, they were here to be heretics just like this man. She knew it because well, who was not a true sinner in this world, besides her.

She did not pay too much attention to this whole ordeal. It was simply, mean people did bad things to workers. Workers want revenge. Bah bah bah. It was him who admitted to using them. She was none the wiser but hey, more reason to do this job. She drew her sword and shield and ready herself for battle.

Both mages started charging up their magic but well, Tempris was faster. She swung her sword vertically Spawning a large magic circle under everyone. The fire mage quickly covered himself in a shield by the wind mage tried to fire a gust of wind. Unfortunately, Holy Flames ate away at the magic and covered the wind mage eating away at his sin and turned him into ash. Tempris stood there proud of her work until the sound of coughing ruined the hymns of the flames. Of course, the fire mage protected both the target and himself.

Clearly his sin was much greater and required some personal attention.

Tempris rushed forward Slamming her sword down and crushing the fiery shield. The mage holding it froze in horror as he realized how little he was before the will of Illumin. Soon his body exploded in fire and then he eroded into ash. There were no cries of pain, no cursing, no anger, only salvation. And now only one man remained.

Frankan fell to his knees crying begging for his life. He promise money and other rewards. It was in a room in the building behind him. But it was too late. Faith deemed him a heretic and all heresy should be purge before his warmth. Tempris kicked the man in the face, sending him on his back. Then she placed her foot on his chest so he could not get up.
“Be grateful, you will be fortunate to experience my greatest baptism yet. Thank you for realizing your sin and for your help in making this world a better place. I wish more people were like you.”

Tempris then jammed her sword into the man’s face and his body went up in holy flames. The deed was finally done. With That done, Tempris decided to collect the tides the man offered. Then Tempris returned to Mattoro and reported her work. He also gave Tempris her rewards and Tempris left. She used her key to create a doorway and then Left for the next mission. Apparently, her sources got word of something extremely heretical. (exit)
