Shichiro and his group of knights had gotten a peculiar request written in the form of a letter when it came to clearing out the rats. It wasn't in the same location as before as that specific task would be handled by a different group of mages. For now, the team of five knights would be tasked with going to an old fort that was further up the trail after leaving Orchid City. The neutral guild had told them their main priority was to head on over there, enter the fort and clear it of unwanted pests such as rats. Shichiro had taken the job as the pay was better than normal and he figured this would be a good opportunity to get more earnings. As Shichiro made it to the end of the letter, he turned the page around and the quest giver had given them a warning about one more thing. The thing about this old fort was something strange had happened recently a few weeks ago.


A strange glow was seen emanating from the fort for a few days at night and they have no idea what caused this to happen. A group of adventures were sent out initially but they haven't returned. It's been almost three days and now they decided to send in the authorities to check out what was going as well as the mysterious disappearance of the previous band of adventures. Taking that into consideration, Shichiro nodded and decided to begin the preparation for the journey towards the fort's whereabouts. Shichiro would then brief his team on the contents of the letter, passing it around for them to read themselves.

Another day another job to do. Working as a Rune Knight wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. Helping others and making jewels doing it was a nice change of pace in her life. Leaning up against a tree with her hand on her sword's hilt that hung from her waist, Hitomi looked up at the sky that threatened to open and let out of a flood of rain. The air was thick and humid, dark clouds rolled in over a day that not moments ago looked bright and sunny, flashes of lightning followed by rolling sounds of thunder was a good indicator of what was to come and perhaps an ominous sign of their task ahead.

A slight frown formed on Hitomi's face but her attention was pulled back to the group. Shichiro had handed her a letter with contents of what sort of work they would be doing today. It seemed like an ongoing problem caused by rats, a job that seemed like it could easily be taken care of by a really good exterminator. Hitomi wanted to speak up but as she continued to read she could tell that this was no ordinary rat problem. Not only did they have rats to take care of but this became a search and rescue sort of deal as well. Now Hitomi didn't know whether to be excited, worried, or both. Passing the letter onto the next person to read she pushed herself from where she leaned against and awaited orders.

More rats, why was it always rats? Keita would think to himself as he was reading the paper that had their current objective on it with a sullen look. He had just been passed the paper from Hitomi, and he really didn't like what iut had said, especially the last bit about the previous team sent to check disappearing, especially with the strange monstrous rat he had seen previously at that huge building that they were hired to clear out before. Before this, he was having a good old time at a dive bar off the main street in the city, and while he wasn't drinking because of how early it was, he was still getting to know the relatively nice bartender and some of the patrons that seemed to be stuck there, and so he was in a good mood. 

The amount of rats he would have to kill this month would definitely change his good mood though, as he was starting to get sick and tired of seeing the damned rats, no matter what shape or size they were. After signing and letting out his grievances, he simply passed the paper to the next person and allowed them to read it, while he complained to himself in a low voice. “Damn it, why does it have to be rats? Can’t this town be infested with something else, like man hunting chihuahuas or something?” Keita voiced his opinion in a rather absurd way, but there wasn’t much to do now but grin and bear it.

Seika sighed with relief as the casts finally came off. The resident healer for the town was actually worth the jewels he paid her. It had been almost a week since his near death experience, and several days since that, that the new girl Hitomi had joined them. He vaguely remember her from the time they had worked together during that civil war back in Bosco
He had wondered what has happened to her after he has switched sides mid war. It was good to see that she had made it out of there alive. It had been a pretty heavy event to work through, he has enjoyed it immensely however since it meant he could burn as many people as he wanted.

Leaving the apothecary behind, he'd stroll down the street to go meet up with his team. They had been waiting on his injury before doing another heavy job and now that he was back in the saddle so to speak, it was back to pushing their noses against the wheel grind.

He grinned at the thought of the new skills he had been thinking up while he had been down, unfit to actually train them, he instead brainstormed several new spells that would definitely help him out in the future. For now though, he stuck to his bread and butter to get through the tasks put before him.

He would arrive with the group a few minutes later, meet with downcast looks, he could only look about inquisitively before stepping into the line and awaiting orders.

After the letter from the quest giver was passed around and all who looked at it finished, Shichiro decided to address his team anyhow just in case there were some details they missed or glossed over. "Alright team, it seems there's a serious rat problem plaguing not only this city but this region and we were tasked to take them out along with another dangerous creature. Rats won't solely be the goal here but something else seems to be infesting the area. Not to mention the strange glow we need to investigate as well as the case of the missing adventurer party that was sent before us. So, our job is to go and clear out the fort of pests, find out what happened to the previous party and scrounge up any loot we can find, for us to keep of course. According to the letter, it'll take us at least two days to get there and we leave tomorrow. I suggest you guys use the rest of the days to gather provisions and supplies for the trip tomorrow. We'll also have to discuss who's going to keep watch at certain times of night. The forest is rumored to be extremely dangerous at night, more so than other regions. it's rumored that we're in the most dangerous part of all of fiore so keep on your toes. Before we disband for the night, are there any questions or suggestions you guys may want to throw in," Shichiro had asked at the end.

Ah and there it is. So this wasn't just about rats though rats were part of a bigger problem. On the subject of rats, weren't they suppose to be really smart creatures? Or was that mice? What was even the difference between rats and mice? Hitomi didn't really know, heck she didn't know a lot about the rodents they were about to try to exterminate out of the region. Were the rats the ones responsible for the adventuring party going missing? Shichiro said there was something else infecting, no infesting the land. Perhaps it was bigger than the rats, maybe it was a Rat King? Did rats have a hierarchy? That would be weird, wouldn't it? Her mind delved deeper into the possible life of rats until she was pulled back into the group when Shichiro mentioned they would be leaving tomorrow.

They were given a chance to prepare since it would take them a few days to reach their destination. Hitomi thought they should leave today but she didn't speak up on it. She didn't have any questions herself but she waited until someone else maybe had a question to ask before she departed. If a question did come up she would stick around and listen to the answer because it would perhaps help her out as well. The other two members were new to her and she had to make a note to properly introduce herself to them. It seemed like it was about to be a long job ahead of them.

As Keita listened to more and more of what the job was after a more thorough explanation from Shichiro, this was turning out to be a lo crazier than he initially thought, and he was wondering how they were going to manage. He knew that him and Seika were newbies, but Seika had quite a destructive magic with him, so he should be fine. Keita’s magic was far more on the defensive side, so he was going to be working out how his defense would help the others in the mission, but his summons were going to do great, he thought. Apparently there was something other than the rats, and they needed to go investigate what that was, in addition to a strange glow in the area. 


Keita thought about what could be causing the strange glow, but his mind was drawing a blank, mostly because there were so many things it could be in this magically enriched world, that simply something glowing was not enough to go off of. The final thing that was said was that they were going to break off for the night and prepare for a two day journey tomorrow, and Keita nodded at this. He knew how important it was to be prepared, and his survival skills were passable, so he wanted to find some hard tack or some other survival food, just in case, and plenty of water. Keita shook his head when Shichiro asked if there was anything else anyone wanted to add, as he felt that he was a bit too inexperienced to think of anything.

Standing alongside Keita and Hitomi, he'd listen in to the request that had been given to them today. Apparently the rats that they had been previously exterminating with extreme prejudice before they inevitably got blindsided with the knowledge that the rats were not only intelligent, but also apparently were eldritch abominations, or at least the stronger ones were. According to Keita and Shichiro both, they had also encountered something foul back at the building they had been working at. It was hard for him to forget the ordeal they had gone through, considering the incident had been so sudden. It was actually freaky how little warning the rats had given before they had seemingly switched from harmless dopes to murderous fiends.

Frowning at the reminder of such a situation, he'd turn his attention back to his boss as the man spoke about the fact that they would be on this mission for more than a few days, travel time included. It made sense, they were responding to what could only be considered a true threat to the people at this point. If the rat populace was showing signs of contamination, then that could only mean that there was someone or something behind it, or they were evolving to become a bigger problem than they had thought.

Looking back at Shichiro as he finished his spiel, the taller man would speak up, "What about the building we were working at before? Are the people going to be safe with whatever the hell we encountered lurking about inside of there?"

At first, Shichiro was going to conclude the meeting but it seems Seika had a question that involved the previous building they were all working in with the exception of Hitomi since she was new to the team. Shichiro inhaled a bit before answering this question. "Well, it seems another group of mages and adventurers will be taking over in our place. At least enough to make sure the rats don't trickle back onto the floors that we've already cleared so far. It seems all they'll be doing is laying down some kind of repellent and occasionally dispatching one or two of them that shows resistance to the repellent that would continue to intrude upon the floors anyway. Regardless, it's not our problem for the time being as we've been tasked with going to the fort a couple days away. Now, any other questions," Shichiro had asked the group before moving onto the next phase.

If there were any new questions, he'd answer them to the best of his ability but if there weren't any additional questions, he'd dismiss the team and have them travel around Orchid City in order to get the provisions they needed in order to survive the couple of days they had to travel there. On his way to the door, his companion Panther Lily had jumped onto his shoulder and accompanied him out. Should anybody else had joined him, he'd welcome them as long as it was on the way to the few destinations he had in mind to gather up some supplies.

Were rats good to eat? Did they taste like chicken if they were battered and fried? Were they safe to eat? If they could kill these rats they could stop hunger in places that needed it. Maybe this infestation was a blessing rather than a curse. Rat fondue seemed like it would do for the crew if they were running low on food. She didn't laugh when she thought that sentence out in her head. It was funny but this was a serious assignment. People were going missing dealing with these rats or whatever the hell was running amok. Seika brought up something that Hitomi didn't understand since she wasn't with them before but when he said it she realized that this wasn't the group's first rodeo, which would mean that they didn't get rid of the rats first time.

Hitomi didn't have any questions and so she departed in order to prepare for tomorrow's job. She needed to get her sword sharpened but first, she needed to make sure they were able to get fresh water, have sustainable food, and maybe something to sleep on. Though that last item would probably not be needed. She wouldn't be able to sleep knowing rats could come and devour her face or something. Heading into the city she began to look into different shops. She needed to start shopping early so she could get a good night's sleep and a deep cleaning shower since she wouldn't know when they would be able to clean themselves properly.

Seika asked about the building that they were previously in, taking care of the rats, and it seemed that another group was going to take over, but just to secure the floors that were already cleared by them. This seemed like a good plan, and echoed Keita’s sentiment when he was in the building last, as he did not want things to get out of hand and be retaken by the rats when they had gotten so far in clearing them out. After that, Keita and the others seemed to go their separate ways, and they were going to meet back up the next day and head out onto the road. Keita was the first to leave, as he had a plan in mind about what he was going to do, and needed to head to the store and grab some rations and some water. 

After that, he wanted to make sure he had some basic gear for traveling in a dangerous part of the wilderness when getting to the rats, and so he needed to head to a specialty store as well. He was getting paid well, especially for this mission, so he did not mind splurging a bit to make sure he and his team were safe on their travels. As he headed out of their meeting place, he started heading to the general store, and sitting outside of it was a kind old man that asked if he needed assistance finding anything, which would make his job there easier.

Slipping his hands in his pockets, he'd listen as Shichiro explained the situation going on at the other building they had worked at. It surprised him that the guild actually had the money or the pull to actually get a group of mages or adventurers to actually commit to working that subtle death trap. He only hoped that the mages they hired were actually competent enough to not get eaten alive by those things. He'd hate for the town to be overrun with rodents before they got back. With the end of the explanation, he'd shrug and walk off from the group. He had to prepare for their excursion by gathering supplies necessary for the trip.

Taking a stroll back down the street on the way to his hotel, he'd stop at the local grocery store to grab some dried fruits and jerky. Seeing a jug as well, he'd grab it as well knowing that he was likely going to need some water as well. Putting all of these things in his cart as well as a travel bag to carry it all, he'd go and check it out at the front before proceeding back to his hotel to finish packing.

Stashing a few changes of clothes as well as a tent, he'd check the rest of his materials for before sighing and climbing back into bed. They wouldn't be leaving for some time so he might as well catch some shut eye before they left.

Now that they've all went their individual ways from their original meeting place, Shichiro made a mental list of the things he may or may not need on their way to the fort. he was sure he'd have to go to multiple stores to get everything he needed as it wouldn't make sense for all the items he wanted to be in the same store. First, he'd visit various stores in order to purchase a map of the region that would help them navigate through the lands a bit better. Next he'd request some MREs as rations in order to have a decent meal while they were on the road, in the fort itself and on their way back, should they be so lucky. He was positive his knights were also going to buy some food but it never hurt to stock up on extra. 

Next on his list was some rope, about fifty feet long or so. He wasn't sure if he was going to use all of this but once again, never hurt to go prepared. A survival knife that was very good at anything combat related but good for general use and a water skin. He thought about what more could be needed. Well, they would need something to see in dark areas so Shichiro figured he'd buy at least five torches, one for each member of the team and a tinderbox to light said torches. Lastly, he needs to buy a backpack to hold all of this crap in before they head out.

The first place Hitomi went to was not any sort of store or shop it was to a special blacksmith. Kusanagi was a special sword and it needed special treatment for its upkeep. With a sword steeped in so much of Joya's history, she had to search out a blacksmith that knew about it, and that was not something easily done in Orchidia as she soon found out. In her search for a blacksmith, she decided to do some shopping after all. Her first stop would be a specialty store that sold magical items great for a multitude of uses. Her first purchases would be long-distance communication devices that worked by pumping a little mana into them in order to speak with others over a long distance. She figured at some point they would split up and this would be a great purchase if they did.

The next thing she picked up was a water purifier and a few containers. Being without clean water was practically a death sentence and the one she purchased took it a step further and cleaned all impurities from any water, including poisons and any other nasty things that could be in there. With all her shopping she nearly forgot about the blacksmith. Spending a little more time with it she realized that there would be none that she could find quickly without losing sleep. Hitting up a few more stores for food that would last, an all-purpose swiss army knife, ponchos for heavy rain situations, and a few other items she thought they would need. At the end of her little shopping spree, she also got a bag to carry it all in with about two bottles of booze to boot. It could be used for cleaning, drinking, or burning rats alive.

Keita quickly went around the store, grabbing everything that he might need with the assistance of the old man who knew the store very well. They were going out into the wilderness, so Keita grabbed a compass to make sure they did not get lost, as well as a backpack that was meant for survival gear. He wondered what the others would bring, and so he decided to be a bit conservative, and bought a hammock as well as a sleeping bag, so that he could simply find a tree to sleep in for the nights they were on the road. After that, it was some simple things such as packaged survival meals and purified water, along with some basic pots and pans made for the outdoors, and a survival stove with some special tinder that would burn pretty hot for a while. They were little white tablets that were a combination of a candle and some lantern oil, which Keita thought were pretty smart.


He also bought some rope and some tight cord, so that it would be easier to climb things with the cord, but also because rope was nearly universally useful when going outdoors, and he did not need to list the various good things about it. He also got a small box of water proof matches, although this seemed a little redundant, because he knew two of his members could breath and manipulate flames, but it was just to be sure. Once he had everything, he headed home.

Seika would wake up early the next day, eyes snapping to attention as he checked about himself before sighing and sitting up. Coughing lightly into his hand, he'd grin as he realized that he was back in the saddle so to speak, tasked with yet another S-rank to handle some crazy strange stuff that had been going on in the area recently, he was certain that things were going to get out of hand yet again. He was glad that their group had picked up yet another person to round out the squad. While a team of three felt good, a team of four felt safe, just right almost if he were truly honest.

Pulling himself from his bed, he'd walk over and prepare himself for the day, washing his face and brushing his teeth. His morning routine wasn't too far from the standard, just the essential hygiene that was necessary to be a competent member of society. After he was certain he was clean, he put on a fresh black shirt and his orange jumpsuit before zipping it up and grabbing his travel sack. He'd have to stop by an outdoors store on his way out to the gate to pick up some more essentials, but for the most part he had grabbed all of the necessary items that he was going to need for their excursion. He honestly wondered how crazy this quest was going to get. The original objective before had been to clear rats, and look how that ended up.

After he had gone to buy his provisions, Shichiro put them in his freshly bought knapsack and began to lug them back to where he was currently staying. After he got back to his room, he took out his supplies one more time to make sure he had everything he needed to go on the trip tomorrow. he needed to make sure everything was checked, in order and ready to be used at any time without any complications or damage to the item. He knows he just bought them but you never know what kind of quality an item is without inspecting them, at least that's what his smith teacher taught him. This wasn't exactly his forte but he'd still be able to tell if something worked properly or not. After thoroughly checking his equipment and provisions, he decided it was best to kill some time by reading or something until it was time to turn in for the night. 

Sleeping for the night, Shichiro awoke bright and early in order to get ready for the trip ahead of him and his team. Putting all of the supplies in his knapsack, he got into the bathroom to freshen up, get dressed and head out when he was good and ready. Accompanied by lily panther, Shichiro had designated the meeting spot to be the opposite entrance of Orchid city. That was in the direction of where they would need to travel. Wearing the knapsack on his back and having Lily Panther lay on it comfortably, he'd wait for the rest of them to arrive before heading off on their journey.

With shopping done and so much of the day left Hitomi treated herself to a very pricey dinner. There was a restaurant in Orchidia called " omelette du fromage fromage " The name seemed very fancy even with two words that were the same in it. She heard they were well known for their cheese dishes and she was very much ready to fill up and something good before having to eat basically survival food. Having made a quick reservation which she was lucky to get on such short notice, she made her way back to her room in the Inn she rented out from and got cleaned up and dressed in a very nice off the shoulder dress. Placing her long hair in an elegant bun with and glossing her lips, she grabbed a purse she bought for the occasion and headed out the door to the restaurant.

Since the restaurant wasn't far from where she was, Hitomi decided to walk there. Of course, with how beautiful she looked she got a lot of head turns and even a few bold proposals. Hitomi either ignored them or kindly denied them. She wasn't looking for a relationship with just anyone. Once at the restaurant she ate to her heart's content and drank until she was full and tipsy. Paying the bill and thanking the waiters as she tipped them, she wobbled herself back to the inn, took a shower and went to bed. Waking up with the sun she quickly checked her bag and items once over to make sure she didn't forget anything. With one more shower and putting on some comfortable clothes, she grabbed her bag and Kusanagi and headed out the door, making her way to the opposite entrance of Orchidia where she waved down Shichiro where she would wait for the rest of the crew.

Keita had a good night’s rest, although he did not have any dreams that night, it didn’t really matter to him, as he woke up bright and early the next day. He knew that he would not have a chance to shower or bathe while out on the road, so he made sure to get in a good scrub while making sure to check everything off his to-do list in his head. After the shower, he collected his backpack that he was going to9 bring, and had already carefully prepared it the night before, making sure that everything was there. He did live with a flying lemur that liked to get into things, so he did another once over to make sure everything was in their correct places and that he was all good to go. He also made sure to wear his pair of outdoor shoes, as his normal shoes which were almost slippers would not end up well trekking outside in the wilderness for a couple of days. 

After he was sure he was ready, he whistled, calling his lemur which flew a small circle around him before perching on his shoulder, before he walked out and headed towards the front, or in this case back, of the town to meet up with the rest of the group. As he got to the meeting point, it seemed that he was the third one to get there, and waved to the two others of the group, before finding a bench to sit down while waiting for Seika.

Checking out of the survival goods store, he'd adjust his pack that he had slung over his shoulder with the new goodies that now hung from its side through the use of various straps he had purchased. He was now more than prepared to actually handle the challenges that they would be taking on while on this excursion. He had gone out of his way to also pick up a length of rope, for some reason the place only sold them in increments of fifty, so he made sure to grab a couple just in case it was actually important for traversal of the location. He also picked up a few torches. While he himself could be considered a torch, he honestly couldn't see himself holding up a pilot flame for the entire time they were out just in case they found themselves in a darkened location.

Pushing aside some clothing that had been hanging low on a line, Seika found himself over by his crew, all of them sitting in some way shape or fashion and apparently waiting on him as he had been the last to arrive. Bothering to at least look sheepish for his blunder and lack of awareness of time, he excused himself to stand over by the gate after giving a nod to his commanding officer and teammates. He would wait patiently for Shichiro to give the signal for them to head out. His eyes would train off into the distance past the open gate, awaiting whatever sat before them.

One by one, the team of knights had shown up to the entrance or exit of the city. it seems they all had also brought provisions for the trip on foot. Before they left, Shichiro decided to make a statement before departing. "Good, it seems we've all made it in one piece, not that we should have been in danger while still in the city. Anyway, I know I've said this before but this is a one day trip and we need to decide the order of who is going to keep watch at night for two hours. As stated before, we're in the most dangerous region of Fiore statistically as there's more hostile things to worry about in the wildlife around here. Not only that, this place seems to be a breeding ground of supernatural creatures such as feral werewolves and dangerous nymphs of the sort. Should something go array, wake the others up immediately," Shichiro had instructed.

He'd then turn to Panther Lily who was resting on his shoulder. He'd tell his companion that he'd have to go to sleep early while they were traveling so he could stay up all night with each individual member that was taking their shift. Lily Panther nodded as he began to slide further behind Shichiro's shoulder in between it and the shield Shichiro wears on his back. He wouldn't try to go to sleep immediately as it was still early but he'd make himself comfortable. "Now then, You guys can agree who takes what watch on our way there and I'll take whatever is left but we should get moving now," Shichiro said as he started to walk towards their destination.

Three became four, four became five, and soon the group was together and ready to head out. Before they were able to leave though, their ever-humble leader Shichiro gave a short talk with them about the dangers of the area that they would be entering. Many supernatural creatures and just things to be on alert for, there was no time to slack off during this quest. Hitomi could understand the caution and seeing as this was her first high-risk quest she wasn't eagerly jumping at the front lines to call for night watch when the issue arose. Of course just because she wasn't eager didn't mean she didn't do it, she knew the rankings between them all and even if they had all the skill and potential in the world they were still of lower ranking than she was.

I'll take a second watch. I rather get the pecking order out of the way now.

Speaking in a matter of factly way as she followed behind Shichiro, looking over at the other two mages. She wasn't properly introduced and since they had a lot as far as getting to their destination goes she thought it best to fill in the empty air.

I know we are on a first-name basis but let me introduce myself again since you only know it from my tag. My name is Hitomi Minamoto, Nice to formally meet you. Smiling she gave the two a nod. Her introduction short and to the point.

Keita had finally met up with the whole group, and soon Shichiro was explaining that it was an entire day's trip there and they had to figure out some sort of watch order. They were going to the statistically worse and most dangerous part of Fiore where all sort of strange and magical enemies were, and so they would need to be on alert no matter what happened. Keita nodded, as he agreed with the assessment. This would be his first time doing something that was this dangerous, and as Shichiro said that they could decide who takes the watches and in what order, he started walking away. 

Keita quickly started following him, and soon he heard the woman Hitomi say that she was going to take second watch and that she wanted to establish a pecking order. Keita thought that this was a weird way to phrase it, but had to admit that she was right, and that they might as well hash it out that she was of a higher rank than they were, although he was unsure how Seika felt about it, it should be fine, since around Shichiro he seemed far more militaristic and proper. 

She then introduced herself, and Keita followed. "Nice to meet you Miss Minamoto, I am Keita Vespasiano, and I'm happy to be working with you." Keita politely said back, and he was going to make it clear that he was fine with authority. "I don't mind taking first watch, I do have some summoning magic that would help quite well in that regard."

It wouldn't take long after he arrived for Shichiro to stand up and address his troop. The three other members standing at attention as he once again went over the mission parameters and the necessary information for the group to know. He stated clearly that they would be traveling for an entire day and resting that night before completing the journey to their destination the following day. Apparently the travel would be relatively calm, even if the area they were going through was considered some of the most dangerous terrain in all of Fiore. That was a mixed bag for Seika, while he was always down for a good fight, having something like multiple dangerous encounters would surely hold them up from completing the mission. Mulling this information over for later, he'd finish listening to his commanding officer lay out the details before he passed it off to all of them to deliberate sleeping arrangements.

He was moderately surprised when the newcomer spoke up first. While he was used to Keita's somewhat quiet mannerisms, he wasn't sure if the woman was trying to pick a fight or not with how she was speaking, but considering Keita didn't even address it, he would follow suit. Seeing as the only watch that was left was the third one, he wordlessly accepted the fact that he would be watching over everyone third and then fell into line behind the group as they marched off. It was time to get to work.

Traveling along a beaten path, Shichiro continued ot head in the direction the map had instricted him to go in. Observing his surroundings, all he could see was nothing but trees packed closely together with a lot of foliage and shrubbery. It was so dense, a lot of it spilled onto the road they were walking on making it hard to keep track off. Shichiro made it a habit to drag his feet some in order to clear up some of the path he was walking on in order to make sure he was still on it. This caused him to shift between looking at his map and looking at the ground quite frequently. Nevertheless, the party was still on the right path so it was fine.

Eventually night had fallen and the party had walked far enough to where their was a traveler made resting spot somewhere off to the side. It was small opening in the trees to where they could safely navigate to in a small cave where they could set up for the night. Shichiro had instructed Panther Lily to check and see if the cave was safe for them to stay in since he was smaller and more agile than most of them. After a few minutes, Panther Lily returned to confirm no other creature had made its lair here and it mostly had the scent of humans that might have made their way here. With that settle, Shichiro instructed his team to set up camp as best they could in order to get a meal, check their equipment and then go sleep with whoever taking the first watch doing so.
