Mysterious Merchant

Recently, more customers were searching for the Mysterious Merchant again. Outrage about the latest polls in Bosco made the Mysterious Merchant venture quickly through the unstable nation. See, war was good for business but not if the customers were too busy to even seek out the Mysterious Merchant. Either that, or they were dead. Believe it or not, the Mysterious Merchant preferred his customers to be alive. Uncertain times made certain regions less attractive to set up shop. Didn't matter to the Mysterious Merchant though, he could travel anywhere to sell his wares.

As the Mysterious Merchant kept on walking through Astera's Cliffs and thought about the strangest things, he tried to remember the password to enter his next destination. Unfortunately, only random thoughts were popping up in his head. Everything started to sound weird eventually. Weird enough to make him question if it was even a word in the first place or if he had made it up himself.

"Heh, letters forming words. Leaves me speechless each time," the Mysterious Merchant snickered as another portal ripped open behind him and spewed out a new customer. "Welcome," the Mysterious Merchant cheered.

He gracefully moved his hand from left to right to make the wares from his pocket-space visible in front of him. A whole range of items could now be seen by the customer. "If something catches your eye, the description will magically appear next to the item," the Mysterious Merchant stated. While the customer was looking at his wares, he pondered about the code while walking around in circles. It had to be stored somewhere in his mind. As he was about to give up, he noticed something trying to flourish out of the ground. "Oh, right. It's -"

Holding the mysterious vial in her hands Esperia couldn't help but find her curiosity drawn toward the blood within. "So this blood is supposed to belong to an ancient being?" Pondering quietly on the matter she had been oblivious to the approaching creature that lurked in the shadows and was flying toward her in a beeline.

"I will buy this vial please~"

It came out of nowhere, the bat's slash of its clawed foot at the vial with enough force that the contents shattered and splashed into Esperia's face! "What the?!"

to make matters worse, the moment it happened the merchant had seemingly decided their transaction was over, causing Esperia to be surrounded in a vortex that warped her away. To where she didn't know, but in the end the moment it happened all Esperia felt was an incredible thirst and a painful feeling in her chest, unaware of the events that were waiting to unfold soon.

To think that a mere accident would turn her life upside down in such a dramatic fashion was one of the things she had not expected, not after all the things she had endured and dealt with. Perhaps lady luck really was a trickster

- purchased Cain's blood

"Excellent choice," the Mysterious Merchant cheered. He waved his hand and opened a portal out of which a vial with Cain's Blood fell into the palm of his hand. Since the Mysterious Merchant was in quite a hurry, he swiftly handed it to the customer and snapped his fingers to send her and the purchase away through a portal behind them. "Take care, valued customer!"

He couldn't let himself get distracted anymore otherwise he could potentially forget the password again. A spell was placed on the word itself so that it would be forgotten the moment someone didn't think about it anymore. While repeating the password over and over in his mind, he quickly set foot towards the Hargeon Lighthouse for a scheduled meeting that he could not miss. What luck that something over here eventually did remind him of the word and that his strange thoughts did make sense in the end.
