Element: Darkness

Category: Single

Quantity: Limited

Description: Amaterasu is a Magic in which the user performs different hand patterns to incredible and explosive effects. After performing these mudras, Amaterasu Magic Seals appear, with each formula having a different appearance. Once written, the seals unleash lethal explosions around and inside the targeted area. The scale of the destruction caused by these explosions is linked to the amount of seals used in the spell, with Formula 28 having a smaller scale relative to that of Formula 100. Though casting Amaterasu formulas seems to normally take a considerable amount of time to cast, experienced users are able to cast it rapidly, even without the use of mudras.

Extra



Requirements:
  • The user must be a Sorcerer.
  • This Magic occupies two Enhancement slots.

Drawbacks:
  • The user may only cast Offensive spells with this Magic.
  • The user cannot have the Invisible Spell Circle or Armor Piercing Spell Enhancements.
  • Amaterasu Spells may only be AOE in size.


Effects


  • Amaterasu Spells bypass equipment while also dealing damage to all of the equipment worn and held by those hit. All equipment suffers damage equal to one rank below the base rank of the spell cast. Modifiers from Enhancements or modifiers such as Overcharge do not apply to the damage to the equipment.
  • All Amaterasu Spells receive an increase to their maximum range and AOE radius equal to that of one rank below the current rank of the spell cast. Ex: The radius of an S-Rank spell would be S-Rank radius + A-Rank radius.
  • Amaterasu Spells mitigate up to Moderate Resistances. This does not stack with Enhancements or effects that also reduce Resistances, overriding effects if stronger.
  • Amaterasu Spells cannot be nullified. When this is attempted, the spell is simply treated as dealing two ranks lower in damage.
