Kishin stood outside the Rune Knights' headquarters, considering the request for assistance in interrogations. He was known for his proficiency in gathering information and his reputation as a successful questor had preceded him. The thought of missing a little girl weighed heavily on his mind, but he was still unsure of whether he should involve himself in this matter. Without investigation magic in this unfamiliar place, Kishin's resume doesn't do much good.

As he stood there, he noticed the bustling activity of the city, with people going about their daily business, seemingly oblivious to the tragedy that had befallen one of their own. In the distance, he saw a group of mages practicing their magic, their laughter and joy a stark contrast to his own somber demeanor.

Despite his reservations, Kishin felt a sense of obligation to help, if only to bring some measure of peace to the families of the missing. However, he was well aware of the risks involved and the consequences that may follow if things went awry.

Kishin was not one to act impulsively, and he knew the importance of weighing his options carefully. He was known for his thoughtful and deliberate approach to problem-solving, and this case was no different. He took a deep breath and let his thoughts settle, trying to make sense of his conflicting emotions.

Despite his reputation as a skilled questor, Kishin was not a mage. He had never been able to cast a spell, and his lack of magic was a constant reminder of his limitations. He was often referred to as gloomy and mature, and he wore those descriptions like a mantle, accepting them as part of who he was.

As he stood there, lost in thought, Kishin made a decision. He would not offer his assistance just yet. He needed more information, more time to consider all the variables before making a commitment. He knew that the situation was delicate, and he didn't want to make any hasty decisions that could potentially harm the investigation.

With a heavy heart, Kishin turned and walked away, his mind filled with uncertainty and a sense of unease. The search for the missing girl was a complex and dangerous task, and he was not yet ready to take on that challenge. But he could not shake the feeling that his involvement in this case was inevitable, and he was not sure if he was prepared for what was to come.

The streets of Era were a testament to the city's commitment to order and cleanliness. Every building was meticulously maintained, with not a speck of dirt or grime to be found. The cobblestone streets were swept daily, and the well-manicured gardens that lined the sidewalks added to the overall aesthetic of the city.

The streetlamps cast a warm glow, illuminating the path for those who walked at night. The buildings were constructed with a uniform style, giving the city a sense of uniformity and harmony. The roads were straight and intersected at precise angles, creating a grid-like pattern that was easy to navigate.

Despite the city's size and the hustle and bustle of daily life, there was a sense of calm and serenity that permeated the air. The city's residents went about their business with purpose, but there was a mutual respect for each other's space and privacy.

The city's architecture was a reflection of its history and culture, with the towering spires of the magic council headquarters standing tall above the rest of the buildings. The city's central park was a lush oasis, offering a respite from the busy streets for those in need of a moment of peace and quiet.

In short, the streets of Era were a model of efficiency and beauty, showcasing the city's commitment to order and progress. As Kishin entered a restaurant, he noticed the tension in the air. Marin Awedin, the Rune Knight Lieutenant, stood at the front of the room, his expression serious and focused. Several other Rune Knights surrounded him, along with five individuals who appeared to be suspects in the case of a missing young girl.

Marin approached Kishin, explaining the situation and requesting his assistance in the interrogations. Kishin nodded, understanding the importance of the task at hand, and considered this fate. The first individual he was to speak with was an old man who seemed largely oblivious to the situation.

Kishin took a seat across from the man, studying his face for any signs of guilt or deception. The old man blinked in confusion as Kishin asked him about the missing girl, only to deny any involvement once he realized what was being accused.

Kishin listened intently as the man explained his whereabouts at the time the girl went missing, taking note of any inconsistencies or vague answers. He pressed further, asking follow-up questions, but ultimately concluded that the man was not involved in the disappearance of the girl.

The process repeated with each subsequent individual, each denying any knowledge or involvement in the case. Despite their denials, Kishin remained vigilant, unwilling to take anything at face value. He remained focused, his gaze sharp and unwavering as he sought the truth.

As Kishin seriously approached the second suspect, a young woman, she expressed her frustration at being kept there by the Rune Knights. Despite her annoyance, Kishin remained professional and began the interrogation process. The woman vehemently denied the accusation and became increasingly agitated as the questioning continued.

The third suspect, a younger man, was enamored with the Rune Knights and was eager to cooperate with the investigation. However, Kishin noted that the man seemed too eager to shift the focus onto the other suspects.

The fourth suspect, an older woman, appeared to be highly suspicious of the Rune Knights and even went so far as to blame them for the kidnapping. This piqued Kishin's interest, and he pressed for more information, but the woman remained tight-lipped.

The fifth suspect was a shifty young man who refused to answer any questions and insisted on being released immediately. Kishin left the room feeling unsure about the young man's involvement in the case.

Kishin reported back to Marin, summarizing his thoughts on each of the suspects. Marin listened intently and thanked Kishin for his assistance before dismissing him.

As Kishin stepped outside, he heard the sound of crying coming from one of the nearby alleyways. Following the sound, Kishin eventually came upon a young girl who identified herself as the missing person. Kishin was shocked to realize that nobody had actually kidnapped the girl and immediately brought her back to Marin.

When Kishin arrived back at the restaurant, he explained the situation to Marin, who appeared embarrassed and quickly apologized to everyone present. He thanked Kishin for his help in finding the missing girl and presented him with a reward for his assistance. Kishin accepted the reward and left, feeling satisfied with the successful resolution of the case.
