Overall: Characterized as a man with a boorish expression but with 'eyes that glare into your soul', Daisuke is particularly youthful in his appearance despite being in his early thirties. He has flowing blonde hair that reaches down towards his lower back. The bangs tend to frame the sides of his face, but more often than not, his bangs hang over his forehead naturally. He alternates between this hairstyle and a shorter variant that reaches just below his jaw. Originally his eyes were a vibrant aqua color but have taken on a slight reddish-gold coloration after some special training he and his sister endured with their adopted father. Though he was clean-shaven for most of his earlier adult years, Daisuke has later grown out his facial hair in varying degrees, usually settling on a thin mane that envelops the bottom portion of his face.

Personality

Personality: Daisuke is noted to be a very kind man and a loyal friend. While Daisuke frequently looks stoic and mean, he is known to often help the less fortunate children living in the lower income areas of Crocus as he and his twin sister, Misora, grew up there before being adopted. He does all this with a smile to give hope and joy to the people of the Fiore that they can better their situation and become greater as he was taught. He greatly looks up his adopted father who was once a lieutenant for the Rune Knights. Leading up to his retirement a few years prior, he taught the twins everything they knew regarding combat. Daisuke is known to possess an ego of sorts, and can act arrogantly at times even when the situation does not call for it. He often boasts his abilities and position in a mocking manner but this is mainly with his sister. He also actively compliments foes in battle, some of which confuse the praise as him mocking and insulting them. Daisuke can be very lazy, often sleeping when he isn’t doing something constructive. When sleeping during important situations, he is often awakened by his sister violently.

Likes:

Challenges| Daisuke has always had a competitive nature. He thoroughly enjoys sparring with his sister and their adopted father.
Traveling| After joining the Rune Knights and going out on missions, Daisuke loves to explore the world and travel. Seeing new sights, meeting new people, and finding new adventures.
Sleeping| If not training or going on missions, Daisuke can be found sleeping. It is among one of his favorite things to do.

Nagging| Due to his sister, Daisuke despises anyone nagging.
Politics| Daisuke hates the political side of the world as he prefers everything to be handled with fists instead of words. He will relent, however, should the situation call for it.

Motivations:

Finding his true heritage| For as long as the twins could remember, they have longed to know more about their heritage. Who are their real parents? Where did they come from. Why were they left alone? Finding the answers to these questions are their greatest challenge and life goal.

Snakes| Due to a traumatic childhood event, Daisuke is deathly afraid of snakes and will actively avoid them entirely whenever possible.

History

History: Fiore. For many, it can be called the land of opportunity. The land where people far and wide came to begin anew. Most are presented with opportunities; others make their own opportunities. The twins, Daisuke and Misora, unfortunately were presented with very little. The two children were raised on the streets of Era, neither knowing of their parentage or where they came from. Given the relatively friendly nature of the people of Fiore, and Era in particular, it was expected that the two of them would eventually find homes. However, many of the citizens of Era were wary of them. Not because of their actions or even their heritage but rather due to their immense power and frightening potential. The two of them subconsciously leaked mana every passing moment. For Daisuke, the leaked mana would manifest as searing heat. For his sister Misora, it was extremely cold, near sub-zero temperatures. Oddly enough, their powers never affected the other. Along with the varying temperatures, the leaked mana would attract the attention of unwanted creatures. The fear of being attacked lead people to stay away from them. Children were forbidden to play with them. So, the twins fought to survive; stealing and doing whatever was necessary to make ends meet. On one rainy evening, their lives changed forever. While under their makeshift hut, attempting to keep themselves dry from the rain, the two of them spotted a couple walking underneath an umbrella. The woman wore elegant clothing, an oddity given the current weather they were experiencing. She had a light pink umbrella dangling over her shoulder with a warm smile on her face. The man next to her was dressed in a black uniform with a familiar badge tied around his right arm. The twins knew all too well what that badge meant; the man was a Rune Knight. They had a few encounters with Rune Knights before but always managed to escape. The twins moved towards the back of the hut in an attempt to avoid the couple’s attention. As the two walked by the hut, the siblings could hear bits and pieces of their conversation. Idle chatter about the peace and serenity Era was currently experiencing. Suddenly, the woman stopped dead in her tracks and glanced at the hut behind her. She motioned towards her male companion before heading back over towards the hut. Misora squeezed her brother’s arm as the woman knelt down and peeked inside. With a calming warmth to her smile, she addresses the twins and inquires why they were out in the rain. After some hesitation, Daisuke replies that they are alone and that no one wants to take care of them. Angrily pointing out the fact that everyone is afraid of their constantly leaking mana and their inability to control it before yelling at her to go away. A searing wave of heat radiated out from within the hut, forcing the woman to take a quick step back. “I see… That explains what I felt” The man said as he knelt down towards the woman. His smile was just as warm as hers with a sense of compassion. “I could sense someone was leaking out mana. I thought it might be a few unruly mages in the area but this... I would have never expected it to come from you two. Such incredible power." Misora peaked out from underneath the blanket, never keeping her eyes off of the two in front of them. “They are so young..." the woman said as she began to trail off from her words. Her eyes reflected deep sadness and understanding. "My name is Haruka…Haruka Sato. And this is my husband Jun. Would you two like to come with us? You can live with us. Right, Jun?" The Rune Knight chuckled and extended his hand inside the small hut. "She's right. You both can live with us. You can even learn how to control those powers of yours. If you want, of course." Hearing this, Daisuke looked down towards his sister whose face was full of hope. For so long she's wanted to be free from this situation they found themselves in. To have a home. A family. A family who would care for them. Daisuke could see the look in her eyes. He knew what her answer was. With his sister holding on tightly, the two reached towards the Rune Knight.
