Kaito wakes to a new day and he figures that he has had enough adventure for a little bit so he gets to the board to look for a mission to undertake and earn some extra jewel for just in case there was a problem and he needed to help out those in need or to help arm himself if something was to go wrong and his equipment was to break or be destroyed by something and he sees an easy mission to kill off some rats and to get them out of a shop so he figures that there should be little issue doing that as he had beaten back rats and other things but something about the request seems off and that is bugging him but he still takes the request and starts heading to the place the client had wanted to meet and once he arrived the client was in a cloak with a strange symbol on it.

The man speaks of needing to get the rats gone quickly and not to waste even a second of his time as this is a big task and he needed it done promptly if he himself was not going to get into trouble. Kaito feels it is weird that he is being rushed to do this quest but he guessed that he needed to rush then as this quest must be a decently small job as this was a rush job that this person needed and he summons his best two team mates as he walked to the place and he walked inside and he was teleported to a different place and he looks around and he is in a maze Revy is with him of course as she was still in his hood but it seemed that he was going to be all alone on this one as this was a trap and Kaito had fallen for it. Kaito walked along the wall with his right hand on it.

He hopes that there is actually a end to this maze as this seemed more like a death trap or maybe this was the place this person actually needed cleared out but he was very vague with the details besides that he needed it cleared out and that he wanted it done fast. Kaito can hear the rats in the maze with himself and Revy is keeping watch and Kaito handed her a stone to test the above the walls and when she threw the rock it exploded as soon as it went above the walls height. Kaito keeps walking with his hand on the wall then he makes it around a corner and there was an open room and Kaito marked the wall with chalk before he walked in and there is a large mass of rats in this room. Kaito springs into action and he cuts them down as they try to swarm them and Revy plays the over watching guard telling Kaito if there is a rat coming from out of view and helping him not get eaten alive.

Kaito hopes that they will be able to get them selves out of this but the odds are slim that there is an actual way out of this place if they had gone to such lengths to make him come here if there was just a convenient exit like that wait for him so he might be in some trouble here and he had Revy with him so that makes him feel even worse as that means they are both trapped here for who knows how long as he finished off the rats and his hand returns to the wall and he looks for the chalk marking he had made to find and after a few minutes he finds it and he follows the rooms wall from there and he keeps to the right wall as he goes as this is a trick he learned a while ago as he explored places he probably shouldn't be at but he knows to keep looking out for traps.

Kaito can hear some kind of flow of magic and he wonders if there was a dimensional portal in this place as well as his was not working but it seemed like his attack spells worked but not the ones that could get them out of this place and he keeps attacking the rats that appeared before him as the sound was getting louder and he comes to another open room and he sees it, the port out but it was inside of a huge rat and he wonders if this rat got special powers from consuming the portal or if it was just an annoying thing that was making it suffer as it's insides are being torn out by the portal it had eaten. Kaito keeps his sword at the ready as he readied himself to run in on the rat as more smaller rats appear around the bigger rat.

Kaito puts Revy down then he runs at the rats and he pushes his bodies limits as he slashes and blasts the rats with his beam attacks and he keeps his mind on the prize as there was a need to take them out as he was on the path to kill and maimed the rats the got close enough to him and he pushed on through the crowd and he starts damaging the huge rat that had consumed the way out and he was not going to wait to see what happened he had to hurry and kill this thing as it felt like this place was starting to break apart and that was getting closer to them and he kills the rat the portal coming out of it's body and Kaito runs and grabs the exceed that he had left behind as the ground under her feet disappeared under her and Kaito throws Revy through the portal to make sure she made it through and then Kaito jumped in behind her to get out of there and their payment was sitting there on a table with his confused team mates that are hugging Revy who thought Kaito was dead.
