Chie
Spinning with a flourish, Chie allowed her apron to twirl gracefully through the air. The time for master chef Chie to shine was now! She had baked a few things over the years, so she was pretty confident in her ability to follow a recipe. The first objective for her was an order of two breaded chicken wings. It seemed to be the most challenging thing to make on the menu, so once she knocked this out, it would only be easier from here on out.

Washing the chicken and drying them with paper towels, Chie placed the meat in a bowl before moving on. Milk and eggs were next, whisked together in another bowl. Pouring the concoction over the chicken, she made sure to lather the meat completely with the mixture. Grabbing the now lathered chicken, she shook it gently before coating it in flour. Repeating the process for the rest of the meat, Chie placed the floury chicken into the oil nearby. And after seven minutes of waiting, she now had crispy bread chicken!

Cleaning her setup in her downtime, Chie waited patiently for the next set of orders. Once you knew what you were doing, cooking was pretty fun. Taking the sheet from the employee by her window, the temporary chef glanced at the menu. Some fries, hamburgers, and hotdogs. Nothing too crazy.

Portioning the fries, Chie placed them inside the oven before moving onto the hamburgers and hotdogs. Thankfully they were already made, so the only thing she had to do was place them in the oven alongside the fries. Waiting for them to finish cooking, Chie glanced towards the lobby. The people waiting were lessening the more time passed. Soon, she’d be finished. Perhaps an hour or two more?

Once the food was done, Chie placed the fries and meat on their designated plates. Grabbing the dishes and placing them on the counter, she watched as her food was served. And judging from the faces of the customers that ate it, it seemed she didn’t do that bad of a job. Perhaps she had natural cooking talent lurking deep within her bones?

Over the next hour she continued to make hotdogs and hamburgers. The process was similar to what she had done before. Cook the meat, place them on buns, and give them their condiments. Lettuce and tomatoes for the burgers, ketchup and mustard for the hotdogs. Sometimes she’d have to take off the tomatoes while keeping them for the other orders. But thanks to the cooking sheets in front of her, Chie knew what to expect.

Finishing her final set of orders, Chie placed the potato in the oven before letting out a huff. The lobby was emptying, meaning that only a few orders were left. Something the other cook would no doubt handle. Finishing up the potato once it was cooked and sending it out, Chie cleaned up her station before reporting to Batra. The pub was closing, so it was time for her to make an exit. Her job was done.
