Details


Description: While it's size and shape varies when its abilities are used, Rhongomyniad typically appeares as a 1,70m long lance, seemingly made out of intertwining metallic threads spiralling around it's grip.

History: The Fae Folk of Caelum tell tales about a a certain spear, a tower of light said to anchor the layers of the world. While the truth behind these tales is debatable, the Sacred Lance Rhongomyniad is undeniably powerful. It has existed since before recorded history and has had many Caelese wielders throughout the centuries, chief among which being the most celebrated King of Caelum, who used to slay his own rebellious son in a titanic battle that cost him his life.

Effects




  • Anchor of the Sacred Lance: Rhongomyniad can merge into the user's body or their attire, allowing one to carry it inconspicuously, forming a sort of symbiotic connection that prolongs the user's lifespan. This allows the user to cast Rhongomyniad's spells without pulling it out of its pocket dimension. When cast in this way, the spells cost double their normal mana cost and cannot be affected by mana cost reduction or cooldown reduction. When the spear is summoned, it forms out of threads of light coiling around the user's chosen hand, and cannot be hidden again for the duration of the topic.
  • Lance at the World's End: Rhongomyniad posesses an unmatched ability to pierce through obstacles. Damage dealt by the spear or its spells is doubled against equipment and ignores its resistances.

  • Name: Tower at the World's End
    Rank: S

    Requirements: Rhongomyniad
    Type: Supplementary
    Element: Light
    Range: -
    Cooldown: Once per month
    Duration: -
    Effect: The user raises their hand and unravels the husk of Rhongomyniad, conjuring a pure white castle with a tall tower at the center. The user and their allies can freely roleplay inside the castle until the user unsummons it. This spell requires a large open space for the castle to be created, and the landscape returns to however it was after the castle is removed. Unsummoning the castle takes a few minutes and cannot be done in a single post. While this spell is used, every character can become aware of the user and their location, and know information about them as though they had maxed out reputation.


  • Name: Husk of the Lance
    Rank: D-S
    Mana Cost: 25-500
    Requirements: Rhongomyniad
    Type: Defensive
    Element: Light
    Range: Self
    Cooldown: 1-5 posts
    Duration: Sustain
    Effect: The user raises their hands and produces a cone shaped barrier of whirling light threads around their body. The threads can wrap around the user's body or spread out up to the size allowed by the respective rank for the amount of mana chosen. The barrier can be sustained until it recieves damage equivalent to the base amount of mana spent on the spell.

    Type: Offensive
    Element: Light
    Range: 5-25 meters
    Cooldown: 1-5 posts
    Duration: Instant
    Effect: The user points their hand at the target and fires a spiralling burst of light. The projectile deals damage equivalent to the base amount of mana spent, and can be up to the size of that respective rank. When it hits a target, it knocks them back up to the range of the spell.


  • Name: Release Restraints
    Rank: S
    Mana Cost: 500
    Requirements: Rhongomyniad
    Type: Offensive
    Element: Light
    Range: 25 meters
    Cooldown: 5 posts
    Duration: Instant
    Effect: The user points the spear forward as a light shaped cone emerges in front of them. The cone then erupts forth, firing a 16 meter wide beam of light that deals S-rank damage to anything caught in its path. When damaging armor the target underneath is also damaged. This spell cannot be nullified.


  • Name: Judgement of the Sacred Lance
    Rank: S
    Mana Cost: 1000
    Requirements: Rhongomyniad
    Type: Offensive
    Element: Light
    Range: Entire topic
    Cooldown: Once per topic
    Duration: Instant
    Effect: The user points the spear skywards, causing a replica of the spear to appear high in the sky, made out of threads of light. The spear shoots down towards a targeted enemy, exploding on impact into a 32 meter wide blast of light. When damaging armor the target underneath is also damaged. This is instantaneous and cannot be dodged or nullified.
