The boys these days simply have no staying power, do they~? Sighing and shaking her head with a smirk as she considered how her day had turned out, Sofia Serena turned her head to look back toward the beach where she left her 'partner' with a sense of bemusement at his apparent act of discretion and no doubt gentlemanly spirit in allowing a lady like her to take the lead in what followed, and then surged forward with gusto all the same even if she knew that she was heading into the unknown of battle with very little to watch her back.
Leaving a woman to handle all the work… Clicking her tongue at the feeling of discourtesy in that fact but ultimately knowing that there wasn't much that she could do about it, the fair femme instead focused her green gaze upon the large pirate craft looming in the distance, and felt her determination growing as she spied that strip of black dancing in the distance with skull and crossed bones upon it as well.

And her mighty mount, of course~ Cracking her reins a couple of times as she did so and feeling glad that she was riding out there on the back of such a sublime and capable creature, perhaps because of the knowledge of how hectic things would become in a series of short seconds the siren couldn't help but appreciate the 'calm' she had to spend with her pristine Pegasus as she bounded through the air along with him, and exploited it for a moment of closeness and connection as she reached forward and stroked the side of his neck to reassure him.

I'll say this for sea scum, they do give you a chance to flex your wings, don't they~? Running her hand down his neck and admiring that silky soft coat as she did so, Sofia felt glad to have a chance to use him again given how sparingly her use of the creature was given how reliant she had become on her spell craft to ferry him around, though even then couldn't help but feel a swell of guilt at once again seeming to choose to bear herself upon him only in the face of battle. One day she would have to take him for a nice ride, and perhaps when her girls were old enough and big enough to enjoy it as well, eh?

Now, let's show them what we've got, hm~? Knowing at the very least that such a marvel only seemed to happy and eager to ride with her on this occasion and perhaps that assuaging some of the illness that she felt, all too quickly were those fleet wings of his bringing those sails and the banner atop them clearer into her view, and providing the flying femme with the chance to show the people beneath them the error in their ways. Attacking Hargeon when the niece of admiral Nikolas of Valerica was plating with her children was just the biggest no no, wasn't it? And they were about to find out why…

A classic~ The urge to educate these fools of the sea perhaps the reason why her emerald eyes seemed to shine with life soon after, though Sofia was found blinking a little as she hears the crack of cannonfire, all too quickly did her gaze seem to sharpen at the sight of magica born projectiles arching through the air toward her and the port which stood behind her, and so she jerked her stunning steed onto an intercept course because of that. Never one to let an opportunity slip between her fingers and certainly so when such absence of reaction would likely imperil the innocent, and so she would accept the 'offering' these offenders would give both enthusiastically and elegantly and lifted her hand to do both.

“Black Hole!” Holding out her palm and surging mana through it to create a magic circle through which she seemed to only imperil her surroundings, the ring of golden light seemed to birth something which only seemed to devour the brightness of the bay and beyond that the projectiles which were hurtling through the air as well, though this was entirely within her intent. Such a distortion rather handy for eating up what her enemies could dish out and giving it back in kind, Miss Serena was happy for the meal, and only too eager to repay those who gave it to her soon after as well.

So wasteful… Shaking her head as she watched her greedy and not so little 'mouth' in the sky gobble up those troublesome pearls of mana and then waving her hand to dispel it once she had done so, the skyward siren couldn’t help but smirk as she pulled a move straight from her pirate fighting playbook page one oh one, but knew only too well that a classic was that for a reason.
Lucky they have me to put such things to good use, hm~? Not about to argue with tactics which had been tried and tested in situations such as this and certainly not when there was a certain delicious degree of doing so either, the lips of the lass could only curl upward as she dragged the reins from one side and to the other in order to steer her steed in a way that would help them throw off the effort of counterattack, and smirked as she readied her own.

Seems like you dropped something, darlings~ Looping around the ship and seeming to even treat them to something of a lap of honour as she did so, the vision of the vixen narrowed as she whipped herself around in an arc around her enemy, and then just as she thought they were ready to strike back against her, once more lifted her palm in a manner similar to how she had only a moment ago.
“White Hole!” The result seeming the opposite however as something once more seemed to distort the air and yet bellow as it did so, the wind turned rough as Sofia let loose her delightful follow up to the act of defence she had just dished out, and did so by unleashing the rounds she had just absorbed as well. All over the deck of the people who had just unleashed them as well…

Persistent devils, aren't they~? Sending the crew spilling across the deck as she made it rain with a fresh hail sent straight from the center of hell, Miss Serena felt perhaps a shade of disappointment when it seemed that those who were able were beginning to send bullets and even bolts of magic her way all too soon afterward, and left the lass forced to sigh and rolls her eyes as she had to give them credit for their determination if little else than that. Certainly not their aim.
They're just begging for me to take their stage, aren’t they~? For that reason lifting her fingers to her forehead and steering her reigns back toward the bay from which she had come as she decided to make this matter a little more personal between them, the girl with the green gaze had no intention of letting her pristine Pegasus be hurt in this encounter, and so she sent him on a course home as she used what had now become her signature spell to warp to the deck and introduce herself properly to the men aboard.

“Sorry to drop in like this~” Likely to give them quite the fight as well as she disappearing from her saddle and stepped back into place on the deck instead soon after, and just so happened to be grinning like a cheshire cat as she did so, the wail that the men seemed to give as a woman lurched into place among them so suddenly was so sweet that she almost needed to bite her bottom lip because of it, but that was nothing compared to what happened next. After all, she had a new toy to show them as well, didn't she~?

“Well, it wasn't as if you weren't expecting me, right~?” This new form of mana blade perfect for the job of crowd control and showing that as she plucked the silver sceptre she had debuted on the beach from her belt and hit the switch to ignite it, Sofia could only watch the faces around her seem to flinch and shudder as she let her weapon roar to life, and watched as the array of people around her seem to look to it and wonder which of them would be the first to challenge such an unusual and intimidating weapon. Which, as it happened, was something that the siren herself would also question, but not for long.

“Gosh, if you boys are feeling shy, I'll just have to come to you!” Happy to take advantage of the awe and fear she had inspired and lurching forward with that intent, Miss Serena once more seemed to feel how the woman she had married had seemed to rub off on her as she felt just a hint of a thrill and the shade of smile spread across her as she sent the first of her foes falling to the floor with a sweeping swipe, but all too soon after that was happy to offer him company as well.
“My, my, I'm starting to think you aren't even trying!” Almost looking like she was dancing in fact as she skipped around on her heels and kept the twin blades of what could only be loosely deemed a stave or spear spinning all the while as she did so, that green gaze of hers seemed to practically glow as she let herself loose upon her enemies with maximum gusto and even more grace, and all too quickly was she deflecting both blade and bullet as she dropped the bodies around her. It seemed, that alisa vollan had taught her only too well, eh~?

After those ones 'blessed' with demon blight… The dance of the diva only too keenly seeming to show how few steps the siren had seemed to lose while she had been 'languishing' at home and enjoying her motherhood, perhaps it was the gift she had gained in the right half of that green gaze that made it seem like the people around her were hardly seeming to do more than stand still, but Miss Serena for one would likely have a far more prominent reason for assuming they were of so little threat to her that she felt like she was doing little more than playing with her babes.
These hardly seem like a challenge, do they~? All too keenly recalling the strength of those who had been gifted with dark power through blessing or birth and offered something of a sad sense of comparison to the 'opposition' that she seemed to face now for that fact, she was sure that these 'boys' were trying their very best to impress her but frankly they were failing to do so given what she had seen in the southern sea, and for that reason it seemed that as she felled the majority she would need someone a little better to really provoke a feeling of challenge for the fox.

Looks like I've upset someone though…! Thankfully at least the apparent master of this craft taking a rather significant sense of exception to the butchering that the brunette had wrought across his company and acting accordingly, a figure seeming to throw off a tricorn hat and lunge toward her from a position at steerage with a wicked look on his face, and twisted steel in hand as well. Appearing clearly to be none too happy about what had occurred thus far, the breadth of his displeasure would only be illuminated as the beryl beauty battled on, and the girl herself seemed to weather the coarseness in his language as well.

"You bitch!
Think all'a we gonna go down to easy?!"

Swinging a heavy blade which seemed to crackle against her humming 'staff' and carrying enough weight to even made Sofia take a step back, the fury of her foe seemed to put his power on a whole new level from what she had faced thus far, and that was without even mentioning either his language or his breath as well.
Yeesh, take it down a notch, Captain Halitosis! Miss Serena naturally prompted to seek some space because of that or the combination therein, all she could do was let loose a breath as her effort provided a beat for her to analyse her new attacker a little, though perhaps more in his personality than the potential he possessed to best her in a fight…

“It'd sure make my day a lot easier if you did…?” Perhaps not making the best of her observation of his temper in how she seemed to bait the brigand into further conflict with the casual disregard in her words, though the jury out on that until the end of the fight, Sofia whirled her weapon around to provide a satisfying hum which seemed to soothe the moment, and then took a breath as she readied herself for the next round of 'competition' between the two of them. Though as she did so, it seemed that her opponent still had further bees to pluck from his bonnet, unfortunately.

"I bet yee were the one'a blew up my little brother's ship too, weren't ya?"

Better able to take the brute in her stride now that she was ready for the ferocity in his fury and fending him off better because of that, she flicked one end of her weapon forward to kill the momentum in his stroke, and then spun the other end around to throw him off balance as well, but it seemed he wouldn't be so easily bested. Not with such noble reasoning guiding him.
“Actually, that was…” Sadly Miss Serena unable to offer much in the way of solace for the loss he had suffered since she had fought alongside a 'friend' whose name she had yet to discover, all she could do was admit the fact that she was not responsible for the loss of the lead ship even if she had intended to be ultimately, but could offer nothing of information she did not know, and instead opted for a heavy hit of her own as she allowed her actions to speak a little louder than her words.

“Well, I don't know his name, but no matter!” Sending her enemy stumbling one way as a result and forcing him to recognise that he was clearly outmatched when it came to sword versus saber as both the clash and conversation continued, perhaps had it not been for the gift in her right iris then Sofia might just have been bested as her enemy brought his free hand up and showed a pistol with it, but pleasingly, had the reflexes needed to evade what followed.

"No matter?
That were mee only baby brother!"

“My apologies, but it doesn't make a difference anyway!” Ducking to one side but a fraction of a second before a trigger was snatched and searing hot lead spewed toward her face from a figure whose fury only seemed to be growing, Miss Serena felt her cheek sting as a point blank round whizzed past both it and her ear on a glancing and glazing trajectory, but thankfully not a lethal one.
“I've still got to wipe the floor with you either way~?” Alerted however to the danger that the firearm her foe commanded would be presented as a result and for that reason spinning her blade about against it, the heated nature of the battle meant that she could not tell whether the item had been severed and discarded or simply knocked away by her hit, but she had no time to check really. After all, this battle was red hot and only going to get hotter as it went on, and perhaps would have drawn a smile from those of a more bloody minded intent for that fact as well…
