Dan smiled as he stretched out his muscles as he walked towards the clearing in the east forest that he had taken to using as a training ground for his magic. Dan was happy that he had finally mastered his other spells enough that he was ready to move on to more complicated magics. Dan closed his eyes for a moment and just listened to the sounds of the forest for a moment as he entered the clearing once more. He walked to the tree he had used as a test for his frost make hammer only a few months ago. Dan slowly ran his hand down the indention in the bark.

Slowly shaking his head in amusement as he sat down with the book his father gifted him that held the more advanced Frost Make forms and began to read. 'Ok the first form is a dynamic spell called Frost Make: Wolf it works similarly to Frost Make: Hawk only on the ground instead of in flight.' Dan noded as he read over the spell and studied it. Nodding his head he stood to make his first attempt. Dan stomps the ground with one foot causing a cyan spell circle 0.5 meters in diameter appears under Dan's foot causing a animated ice sculpture in the form of a wolf to emerge though Dan could see that while the spell worked it was nowhere near perfect. The body was misshapen and the head was too small as well as the fact that it was only half as large as it should have been.

Scratching his head he went back to reread the chapter again to try to find a reason. After a half an hour of reading the only thing he could find was that he must have not used enough magic when he formed the circle causing a incomplete spell. 'Ok so this is going to take a lot more magic then I am used to using.' Dan thought as he sat the book back down. Though the body looked right and the head was the correct size he noticed that it looked brittle.

As Dan touched the wolf he felt it shatter under his palm. 'ok that time I over saturated the circle and speed up the creation to much. Now hoping he had finally figured out the issue he tried for hopefully the last time as he stomps the ground with one foot causing a cyan spell circle 0.5 meters in diameter appears under Dan's foot causing a animated ice sculpture in the form of a wolf to emerge from the circle spanning two meters from nose to tail and with a height of one and a half meters. Dan smiled in excitement at the fully formed creation as he sent the wolf at a dummy he set up and watched as it tore it up.

Dan yawned as he once more entered into the abandoned clearing for another day of training. After yesterday's success with Frost Make: Wolf Dan was feeling good going into today's training as he prepared to learn another spell from the book his father gave him. As Dan sat down under the large tree and stretches and felt his back pop in a satisfying way. Dan was beginning to feel the stress that came with being a part of a guild though he wouldn't trade it for anything. Dan yawned as he opened the book to read the next section. "The next spell is about mobility the Frost Make: Skates are a spell that allows the caster to move around as if on a ice rink by continuously creating ice beneath the caster's feet allowing then to skate around." Don noded as he read the information about the spell.

Dan clapped his hands together and began to rub them together as he prepared his first attempt. Dan takes in a deep breath before he stomps one foot then the other causing a pair of 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circles to appear on the soles of his shoes. Dan watches as the circles begin producing ice beneath his feet. The first issue he notices is that the circles are not producing enough ice to skate on there was barely enough to slide slightly. 'Ok the same issue as yesterday this spell needs more Mana to use.' Dan noded as he ended the spell and took a deep breath and focuses more Mana to his feet before trying again as he stomps one foot then the other causing a pair of 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circles to appear on the soles of his shoes. This time more ice was produced, more then enough to skate on. As Dan begins to skate around he notices that he is having difficulty controlling his speed as he trys to turn.

Dan continued to move around though he was beginning to notice that he was starting to lose his footing as he skates. 'damn I am not used to moving this fast yet I am going to need to practice this more' Dan thought as he regained control over his feet again. Dan spent the next few hours training himself to skate around without losing control with each attempt usually landing him face first in a tree. Now as the sun was high in the sky Dan finally got enough control not to crash. As Dan stood he now thought about his last issue. 'ok I can skate now but how do I stop?' Dan decided to try once more as he stomps one foot then the other causing a pair of 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circles to appear on the soles of his shoes. Dan spent the next hour attempting to stop after he was moving to mixed results. He could stop about half if his attempts.

Dan was taking a small break when it hit him 'wait can't i just stop powering the spell if I need to stop quickly.' Dan thought as he smacked his forehead in annoyance. 'well that is two spells down and three to go.' Dan thought in excitement as he walked home for the day to rest.

"Frost Make: Knuckles is a close combat spell that covers the users fingers in a layer of ice creating a set of ice knuckle dusters. The spell is best used by someone with at least a degree of hand to hand training." Dan noded and stood to now attempt the spell for the first time. After Dan stood he snaps his fingers on both hands creating a pair of 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circles to appear on his palms. Dan will then swiped the circles over the his fingers causing a pair of ice knuckle dusters to appear.

Dan noticed the issue almost immediately by trying not to undercharge it he accidentally over charged the spell creating something closer to ice boxing gloves then ice knuckle dusters. Though Dan thought it was cool it restricted his hands to much to be practical in a fight though he might come back to it later. Now having released the spell Dan decides to try again and snaps his fingers on both hands once more creating a pair of 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circles to appear on his palms. Dan will then swipe the circles over the his fingers causing a pair of ice knuckle dusters to appear.

Now looking more like knuckle dusters Dan smiles and punches the air for a moment to get used to them. Now confident in the looks he decides to try their durability and tries to punch the nearby tree. Try being the key word as when Dan punched the tree the knuckle dusters shattered leaving Dan to punch the tree with only his fist causing him to shout loudly and hold his now red fist. As he stands up again how rubbing his fist in pain he realizes he must have undercharged it this time leaving the ice brittle and easy to break. Now taking a deep breath and the pain in his hand fades to a dull throb he decides to try one more time.

As Dan focuses he snaps his fingers on both hands creating a pair of 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circles to appear on his palms. Dan will then swipe the circles over the his fingers causing a pair of ice knuckle dusters to appear. This time the knuckles both looked as they were supposed to and had the correct durability as Dan punched the tree leaving a indention in the tree and causing a small amount of frost to form on it. Dan sighed as he sat down under the tree to rest and recuperate from the days training as drank some water his mother had Him bring along for the day.

'That is three down and two to go man I am really happy with my progress' Dan thought as he stood one last time to practice the spell before going home. Dan smiles and snaps his fingers on both hands creating a pair of 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circles to appear on his palms. Dan will then swipe the circles over the his fingers causing a pair of ice knuckle dusters to appear. Dan looks them over one last time as is satisfied with the spell and finally released it and heads home for the day

"Defense is key to any mage who wants to survive the next spell is Frost Make: Kite Shield not to be mistaken for Frost Make: Shield the more advanced spell allows it's user to be mobile instead of forced to stay in one spot like it's predecessor. Frost Make: Kite Shield is used by clapping both hands together before touching the users left forearm which causes a 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circle to appear on it. From the circle a Kite Shield one Meter tall and one meter wide should appear on the arm of the caster."

Dan stood and began to stretch his arms to loosen them up and began practice. Dan looks at the tree before he claps both hands together before touching his left forearm causing a 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circle to appear on it. From the circle a Kite Shield to appear on the arm though the flaw was obvious at first look. Instead of a one meter by one meter kite shield it was only half the length but double the width. 'ok I can see what went wrong in the shaping now I just need to adjust it next time.' Dan thought as he wiped his brow of sweat

Dan took a deep breath and tried again as he claps both hands together before touching his left forearm causing a 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circle to appear on it. From the circle a Kite Shield one Meter tall and one meter wide will appear on the arm. Dan smiles in triumph as he sees that the height and width are correct. Now wanting to test his new creation Dan summons his Frost Make: Canon and has it shoot at his shield while he attempts to block it. Dan soon loses his smile as he feels the shield shatter on his arm and a pain begins shooting through it. 'ok right size wrong durability.' Dan thinks as his arm throbs in pain.

Dan is determined to get this down so he tries one more time as he claps both hands together before touching his left forearm causing a 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circle to appear on it. From the circle a Kite Shield one Meter tall and one meter wide will appear on the arm. This time he made sure to increase the hardness of the ice as he shaped it. Now more confident in his spell he once more summons his Frost Make: Canon and fires at his shield only this time the shield holds up to the scrutiny. Dan smiles as he walks over and sits under the tree with a smile. 'Four down and one to go' Dan lays his back against the tree to rest for a bit before standing up and using the spell one last time as he claps both hands together before touching his left forearm causing a 0.5 Meter Cyan spell circle to appear on it. From the circle a Kite Shield one Meter tall and one meter wide will appear on the arm. Dan smiles as he looks down at the ornate frozen shield with pride

Dan smiled brightly as he once more walked towards the field he has been using to train in for the last few days. Dan knew he only had one more spell to learn from this current set. As Dan arrived to his temporary training ground he sat under the tree he was using for target practice and opened the book up once more. Before he began to read he heard a creaking sound coming from above him. Curious to what the sound was he looked up to see the tree he had been beating the last few days was the source of the sound. 'huh probably should move soon this tree is starting to sound like it will break soon.' Dan thought as he looked down at the book and began his last lesson.

As he read through the instructions one last time he nodded his head and stood up before popping his back to release the stress in it. As Dan took in a deep breath he claps his hands together and when they seperate a cyan spell circle of 0.5 Meters appears. As he opens his hands, a scythe made of ice, two meters long and with a blade spanning one and a half meters appears in his hands. As Dan inspects the scythe he sees that it looks correct though when he trys to swing it the blade seperates from the handle and goes flying. Looking now to the frozen handle that soon crumbles in his palms in disbelief Dan shakes his head. 'ok it looks good but the ice wasn't strong enough to hold it's shape.' Dan thinks before trying again.

Once more taking a breath Dan claps his hands together and when they seperate a cyan spell circle of 0.5 Meters appears. As he opens his hands, a scythe made of ice, two meters long and with a blade spanning one and a half meters appears in his hands. Now making sure that the ice is strong enough to hold ye swings the scythe around. Feeling the ice scythe cutting through the air as he swings the blade causes Dan to feel great as he has once more mastered a new spell before the scythe finally breaks on a hard stone. As Dan looks around for a target to test his new spell on he once more hears the creaking sound of the nearby damaged tree.

Dan turns towards the large tree with a smile before he begins to run and claps his hands together and when they seperate a cyan spell circle of 0.5 Meters appears. As he opens his hands, a scythe made of ice, two meters long and with a blade spanning one and a half meters appears in his hands once more. As he nears the tree he swings as hard as he can and cuts cleanly through the tree causing it to fall to the ground with a large boom. Turning to see the tree he watches as ice slowly begins to crawl from the spot where his blade cut through the large trunk.

Dan happy with the results allows the creation to shatter before collecting his book and begins to walk home once more in order to tell his father that he had finally mastered the last spell he gave him to learn before hopefully getting another set soon. As the sun sets Dan looks one last time as the clearing knowing he would probably be back eventually.
