Emil walks up the streets to a newer looking shop his request in hand and he wonders what kind of stupid will try to attack this place cause it more looks like a royals mart building, which would probably raise the ire of a lot of the upper crusts that would probably use it. He walks inside, the inside just smells of the rich, he can stand the strong smells of perfume in here he sneezes wiping his nose on his jacket. He is soon after approached by a tall slender eleven woman with a pipe in hand. ”You must be the man that came so highly recommended for bashing heads and protecting stores.” She giggles at him while looking him over seeing how rough looking he is. Emil wonders what this woman is looking at not realizing she is checking him out, she was expecting a big buff scary scared man not a big buff half elf man with not a scar to his face.

Emil looks around and the woman seems to snap back to reality from her checking him out, she leads him to a display case in the very heart of the shop with a heart shaped ruby in it. She starts on a long detailed story of this ruby but Emil only half pays attention to her thinking what this thing must be worth and why is it in the middle of a shop if it is not for sale. The woman gets to the end of her story and leads him to the locking system of the doors that it is a keyless door you just need the password. She speaks a word in Val'Elvarin thinking that Emil should understand her but he doesn't understand her. He just looks at her then she realizes he doesn't know how to speak it, she giggles knowing now she can say what she wants and he wouldn't understand it, then she says to the lock the new password "juggling" Emil laughs to himself at that password.

Emil
The woman waves to him and then heads out of the building, leaving Emil in this big shop alone, he watches over the ruby and keeps an eye on the skylight that is above it that makes is so it glows a warm red when the sun is on it. the he hears it something or somebody is rattling the front door, Emil does his best sneaking to see who is there and he sees two piercing red eyes looking back at him. He backs up and bumps into a shelf and he stops things from falling from the shelf then he hears the woman's voice calling him to the front door. He looks over and sees the owner at the front door, she claims she forgot the password but needs to get back in, Emil laughs to himself thinking she must be an air head, he walks over but then he stops and he looks both ways out the door. he asks her had she seen a dark mass with red eyes out there she shakes her head and tells him to hurry up she is not paying him to just stand around she pays him to work. Emil is like wait I don't work for you lady, plus this new anger seemed like a new thing, to the bubbly smart one she was using earlier.

He says juggling and the door unlocks and the woman bursts in but her body is starting to turn dark and her eyes red, Emil knows he just made a mistake and this isn't the owner but a monster using her appearance to trick him, and now he is gonna have to fight for his life and that ruby. He lunges at him and he meets it with a punch but his hand just goes through it, but it slashes him and he jumps back and starts using his magic, he and it are matching hits and he feels like he might be in trouble, it starts using the shadows to move around him and he is trying to keep track of it but he is not nimble enough to dodge it, so he stops dodging, he turns on the lights and the creature hisses and Emil charges his body and a make seal appears under him self and he punches into it and glided black lightening comes up from under the creature.

The creature screeches and struggles vs the lightning that hit it, laying on its side. he wonders if there is anything to contain it in around the shop and he grabs a glass container and he taints it then puts the now small creature in the container and he closes the lid and he sets it on the front desk explained what it is and what happened, he straightens the shop from him and the creature going one on one, he can feel the slashes but they didn't leave actual marks on his body, so he isn't bleeding, he turns off the light then goes to leave when hears something else in the store and he moves and sees someone climbing down from the skylight, he guesses the creature was to be a distraction and this is the person that sent it in so they could steal the ruby. Emil pulls back and releases a fist shaped projectile and the person falls off of the rope they were on.

They land on their feet and come at him, he wonders why they think it is a good idea to get close to him after he just beat the creature, but maybe they think he is weakened from it, but he doesn't have a scratch on him just the lingering feeling from the attacks. He goes to punch the person but they duck the punch and grabs his arm flipping him but he shifts his weight and lands on his feet, he wasn't gonna fall for that again so easily after the masked weirdo had used it on him laying him flat on his back. They look at Emil stunned, he runs in and uses a shoulder tackle on the person, they go down and he gets a few punches in, the person asks him to stop and that the ruby was stolen from them, it was bought but it was at a horrible price and they want it back but the owner will not hear them out. They are lying but are trying to get Emil to fall for it, Emil doesn't fall from it as part of the story the woman had told him earlier said it was in her family for many years. He knocks the person out and restrains them and puts them in a box with their shadow creature, then he locks up for the night getting his pay and heading for home.
