Well... her last job didn't quite end up going as well as the elf had hoped, but she did suppose that this was indeed Oak. Though she knew the town had a reputation for being a cesspool for criminal activity, she hadn't expected to encounter a murder in her first job in the town, much less for a job that admittedly paid very little for the risk involved with being involved in a potential murder scene, but maybe that was just par for the course in these parts of town. This land was indeed far different than the other towns she had ventured to.

With that in mind, at least Atani had a better idea of what she was getting herself into whenever she decided to take a job in Oak, though she doubted she'd be able to find work that adequately compensated her for the inherent risks within town. Not legal work anyhow, but it was unfortunately one of the options she was limited to at the moment. The light mage who was still very much new to the area had to tread lightly, not just on the streets themselves, but with the side of the law there too.

She couldn't come into Oak Town as a member of Infinity Wolves and start causing ruckus, not with Eternal Nightmare's base of operations within her sights virtually anywhere she was in the town. But thankfully, she didn't have to cause potential trouble by taking the low route of those mercenary-like jobs. Lord Servas Phantasm, despite the rumors of his dabbling in dark magic, was one of the few people in town who actually provided legal work for mages like her. No matter what dark affiliations he and his family may or may not have had, she at least appreciated him for that.

Speaking of which, she was somewhat looking forward to taking another request from him. Did the last one he gave ended in a guard getting murdered? Yes, though Atani was not put in any direct danger during the quest. If anything, it just proved he needed more assistance from mages or adventurers such as herself.

But the request that the lord put out for the taking? Atani didn't quite see how it would be involved with danger. His request was far less involved than the first one she had taken. But strangely enough, it seemed far more worthwhile.

It saddened the elf just reading the words across the page. It was anniversary of the lord's late wife's death. Atani sometimes forgot just how short human lives were. This was not the fate someone so young should have encountered, but alas, such was life.

What the lord wished for was something so simple, yet incredibly valuable to the man. There was a special flower that only grew in his castle's dungeon. There was none other in Fiore quite like it. Befitting of the darkness surrounding Oak, this flower only grew in the absence of light. For the safety and health of the floral species, it was important for Atani not to let too much light shine on its petals.

Into the darkness, the elf delved. It was at times like these where she wished she had the eyes of her Dark Elven brethren. Unlike her, they were well accustomed to the night and would have no trouble spotting this rare flower. But eventually, after numerous attempts of grabbing at nothing, her hands landed on a delicate stem. By touch and scent, she could tell it was the flower he described. With the pair of flowers in hand, she went back to the lord. During her walk, she had enchanted the flowers with her nature magic so that they would never wilt. Tears coming to Lord Phantasm's eyes, he thanked the elf and handed her the due reward.
