LeeAnn had requested Alex to join her in Stella for a small getaway from all the drama that had occurred. The guildhall was just about finished, Hikari was in good hands, and she had left Atani, Kon, and Raymus in charge for the week. She had to clear her mind, free from any stress about her family and friends. Her mental health was going to shit and Ragtime knew that too. She told Ragtime they needed some time away from each other, but that wasn't going to do because of her contract with him. He as always with her. It was known to LeeAnn that Ragtime didn't approve of her dating another guy, getting engaged was a whole different segment.

LeeAnn waited in the hotel room for him. It was roomy with a beautiful balcony with a view of the coastal region and surrounding jungle. Nearby in the stray wilderness was her Allosaurus pack. They had been doing alright since the last time she checked, which was yesterday. Inside of the room, there was a queen-sized bed that was elegantly placed with navy blue comforter and a lighter blue threw pillow or two. It had a few things decorated around with Stellan stylized decor. There was a couch with a coffee table. It was roomy. The bathroom could fit about all the Nakamura family plus the Overby family, including extended. It was that roomy with a huge bathtub.

"I have to say, Alex knows how to spoil you. That's the ONLY compliment I am giving him. Nothing else! On the contrary, is that a flying dinosaur I see" spoke Ragtime. He didn't want to be caught dead giving LeeAnn's fiancé a compliment. She gave a small laugh. Alex was out getting something and spoke he will be back. LeeAnn noticed on he coffee table a book was reading...again. Carefully, she picked it up reading the cover. "The mind of a Women" was the title. Her face grew a little unamused. "He's trying too hard to understand me. That man relies way too much on books" she spoke. The book was elegant, but there were notes and papers stuck into it. Nosy, she pried it open. It was notes about what things to not say and things to say. Compliments he should give to her.

It was the thought that counted. A small smile made her laugh a little. He was a gentle soul. The joining their families was a celebration to never overlook. A joyous occasion, but one that should take a while. Luckily, their parents were friends and didn't want then to usher their marriage. As she was flipping through the page, she heard footsteps. LeeAnn automatically panicked and put the book on the coffee table and zoomed to the balcony. [i]"That's the fastest I have ever seen you move, kid" cackled Ragtime. LeeAnn frowned at his response. The doorknob turned as she gave a toothy grin, glad she might dodge a bullet. "Hhheeeyyyy Alex, welcome back. Whatcha got?"

"Seriously? He will know for sure you read his book snorted Ragtime.

Alex rushed to find the little shop. The shop that had the delivery for that special personalized gift for her. After all these years, old feelings would again return for her. Once in his life, he did have feelings for LeeAnn, but she was with someone else at the time. He didn't have the heart to break them up. Now things were different, they were together. Alex had not have had much time with her to realize how much they really knew each other. The shop he found took a while. A elderly clerk glanced up at the panicked Alex, panting and sweating. He wrote something into his logbook and went in back after exchanging some words.

"Thank you! How much was it to ship here? I need to pay you for you services" insisted Alex. The old jeweler waved his hand with a smile at the young man. He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "No, its on the house. Take that ring to her. Make her happy, son" spoke the clerk. Alex gave a wide smile and dashed back to the hotel. The run there was enough to make him stop to realize he needed to breath. He was so excited to have LeeAnn's gift in hand to even notice his body needed a rest. He sat on the bench to give himself sometime to rest. "Alex, you bafoon, she's waiting for you. Wait...wait...according to the book, you must remain calm and cool. Women like men who can keep calm under pressure. Though, Lee already knows me. What use is this" he thought to himself. Alex sighed and got up, he walked the rest of the way to the hotel. He tuned the doorknob, finding Lee smiled innocently. A confused expression was held onto his face.

"What? Oh, just had to grab something for father. What are you up to" he asked. He peered at the book, seeing it wasn't neatly placed like he knew where he left it. The former knight had his face turn a little red and grew nervous. "You read my book didn't you? I knew it. Man, I am sorry. I keep overthinking everything about what to say and do since I know I am not perfect about it. I...urge...words are hard" he fussed. The man sat down a bit frustrated. This would make LeeAnn laugh a little. "What I am trying to say is I deeply care for you, LeeAnn. I want this to work out" he confessed. Alex's face blushed a little, he held the purple velvet box in his hands. He wanted to wait the right time to give it to her.

Beads of sweat soon started to form down the side of her face. Shit. He knew. LeeAnn didn't take into account how neatly he had set the book on the table before. Her grip on the railing behind her tightened. Alex basically could tell she was getting clammy. She thought he would tear her a new one, but instead really broke down about how dumb he was being. He was scared how she would take him and decided apologize for those notes. Taken aback a little, she blinked several times to double check what exactly he was thinking. The demi-human sat down next to her, growing ever more interested and concerned for him. "Alex, I don't think it's stupid. I think it's sweet and kinda adorable. How much you get nervous reading your books to help you understand how to act around me and what to say exactly" she smiled.

She hoped her words would assure him and his nerves. LeeAnn knew all too well what it was like to be nervous about everything. That was her daily life nowadays. Proceeding to his confession, what he said next made her blush a bit. This time his intent was crystal clear. The kitsune's chest felt tight, her palms grew even more clammy. Her fox ears twitched at the sound. "You know, after all these years, I have always like you Alex. I never thought I would have a chance with how the ladies threw themselves at you. Besides, who in their right minds would want some brute woman like me? I almost amuses me how much I care about your opinion on things" she confessed. LeeAnn got up to go to the corner of the room with her luggage. After she unzipped her stuff, she pulled out a small wrapped gift. It was about the size of a book. The wrapping was neatly done with gold ribbons tied in a fashion appearance. Gently, she handed him the gift.

"I knew you wanted this. It was on your list and you never had found it. I manage to find it for you. I hope you like it" she spoke. After he opened the gift, she sat down next to him on the bed. It gave in a little under her weight. "I think there is something I should tell you about my past. Something I believe would make all the difference if you want to follow through with this...marriage or not" she started. LeeAnn could feel Ragtime stirring a little inside her mind.

"I went missing for several years because my mother and I were kidnapped. We were tortured by a cult out of revenge for my mother putting their leader behind bars. I gained an illness called Parasitic Plague. It made me eat human flesh for the sake or my own survival other wise I would be in a immese amount of pain. It was force fed to me by my father, my fiance at the time, and even by my whole family. Of course, I am cured of it now. Though, the damage has been done. It's caused me to become incapable of having children otherwise, my body attacks the fetus thinking its a parasite or another virus. I, also, have made a contract with a chaotic spirit named Ragtime who has been helping me save my family. He's a good guy, but can be unpredictable sometimes she confessed. LeeAnn just laid everything out on the table at once. She hugged a pillow, staring at the floor. Personally, she was a little too embarrassed how she act, but was frightened what he was think about her past. She tensed a little. That changed when she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder.

LeeAnn was encouraging. Not exactly what he had thought of her response to be. The man grew a little anxious by confessing his feelings in a subtle manner. Quickly, she picked it up and returned the feelings to him. They both had feelings for each other for a while, but grew the idea of being out of each other's leagues. Life happened to get in the way between the two of them. He grew a love for another overtime, but was crushed by her ditch effort to be rid of him. Sernia never gave him a reason why she cheated on him. He always thought he must of said the wrong thing or done something to cause her to do such a thing. They were serious. No one would ever replace Sernia until this had happened.

His father told him the news of the marriage proposal by Nicolas of all people. Everyone knew he was too protective of his daughter to allow any man near her. For him to ask such as thing, was almost considered a sin in his own beliefs. Though, this was the request of his own daughter, not him. Alex grew a huge smile on his face relieved she had returned her feelings. They were on a mutal agreement to do this marriage, but she wanted to make something clear. LeeAnn revealed a part of herself that not many people got to hear. She spilled everything out onto the table. He could tell this was her ripping off the band-aide. What she revealed made him shiver a little, but kept thinking that his was much worse. Not to dismiss her of her own pain and guilt, he felt his would make her scoff and leave. Though, he knew Lee not to be that type of person. He placed a gentle hand on her shoulder and embraced her. "I am sorry you were put through that. You're very strong to be able to keep going forward unlike me" he spoke. He could tell Lee was sniffing him out, knowing he was hiding something.

"I...I need to show you something" he spoke. Hesitantly, he begun to take off his cape revealing a wolf tail. This slowly his armor and clothes until he was in his pants and shirtless body. Scars plagued all over his body with stitching scars still in tact. The finale was when he took off his eyepatch to reveal the black eye with a yellow ring. It was much like a wolves' eye. "Take a long, good look. See what I am" he shuddered. His breath staggered from pushed back emotions. Any moment he could break down from the trauma and how he was now wearing his best friend's body parts. "I am someone's twist scientific master piece, LeeAnn. No one can beat what I am right now. My teeth, my eye, and even some of my body parts were from my desceased werewolf
friend. I was forced into this position. Now, I am literally a walking frankenstien" he shook. His voice staggered at the very emotion of his reveal. Tears streamed down his face with utter guilt for what he felt he had done to his best friend. Now, his soon-to-be-wife, was going to probably judge him. The worse fears were coming to life of his reveal about what had happened at Bosco. He felt his knees give out to the stress and anxiety. LeeAnn had embraced him. He started to cry under her touch, apologizing to her and Jackson. "I am so sorry for this, I never meant for things to end up like this" he sobbed, quietly. He still had the purple velvet box in his hands.

A huge wave of relief washed over her. LeeAnn grew happier inside seeing he was understanding much like her family. He embraced her rather suddenly. She was tired of feeling like everyone was hiding her. The kitsune melted in his arms just growing a bit emotional. Old tears fell down as she buried her face into his shoulder. She clearly Alex becoming more and more comforting. LeeAnn sniffed after a while. Then, she felt him pulling away. He claimed there was something she needed to see.

She knew from day one the man was holding something back. Secret or not. He slowly took off his clothes to his bare skin, leaving his pants on. She felt a tiny bit of heat go to her face, but that was out of the normal for her. LeeAnn saw the scars and old surgery wounds. He told her to stare at him for a good long minute and...she did. Not the way he had hoped though, but she did. The slayer stared and studied his sculptured body with every old nick and scratch he had. She did notice the body parts sewn on. His hands had claws for nails much like her. His eye was like her old eye, gave her de ja vu. He began to have an emotional breakdown, explaining how he got this way. From all the stress, she notice how weak his knees had become and caught him in time. She dragged him to the edge of the bed.

"Alex I am the guildmaster of a guild that accepts people from all walks of life, nonhuman or not. You sure perfect the way you are. If you accept me as a previous forced cannibal, then I know for sure I can accept you. Alexander. You have my trust and that's not easily won over either" she exclaimed. Quietly, she brushed her fingers through his hair to calm him down as he broke down. The large man crumbled within a few seconds. She could feel him tightening his grip on her, not wanting to let go as if she were a security blanket. Lee felt empathetic for him. It was so much she began to tear up. "Alex, it's okay. You are going to be alright" she whispered.

It took a while for Alex to calm down. She had never seen anyone cry this hard and sfloftly at the same time before. She noticed the purple velvet box next to him, but didn't move. "You feel any better" she would ask. LeeAnn noticed he had calmed a little. She never knew a man of his stature would bare such a burden.

Alex felt his breathe stagger. He felt a gust of wind could knock him over. Stripping to his pants and torso, he thought of the worst. He pictured her out right being disgusted then resetting him. Instead, LeeAnn studied his body a little bit. During that whole time, he felt it was longer than just several minutes. He wanted to blurt out something to demand an answer. Though. He was a gentlemen and knew better than to do that in front of a firey women like her. She seemed to dismiss his worries by affirming that she was the guildmaster of Infinity Wolves. She accepted him regardless of his flaws and deformities. At her words, he crumbled under the stress feeling his legs grow weak beneath him.

His fiance caught him and he let it out. LeeAnn did nothing but let him cry it all out. Softly, she would run her fingers through his blonde locks and assure him he is okay. He felt her embrace to be very warm. The demi-human just collapsed into her.

"Yes, I do feel better. Thank you...it's just….I feel so guilty for even living. What rights do I have? '' he said. Dried up tear trails laid upon his face as he bared the guilt. He felt ashamed to be such a Frankenstein creation in someone's image. This talk would have to wait for another time. He didn't want to damper on the mood. "I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean to get that emotional. I should know better" he whispered.

After a while, he dressed himself into his black shirt. He laid his eyepatch on the end table beside the bed. Gently, he looked at his fiance. "After all this time, I finally got to show you how I feel," he smiled. He grabbed the purple velvet box into his hands. Quietly, he got up and gently guided his fiance to the balcony. Thing white sheers blew into the room as they exited. The sun was setting over the horizon, glistening on the ocean water. “LeeAnn, I’ve had my eyes on your for years, even when we were kids. You’re the right woman for me. I don't care if you're a werewolf or a previous cannibal. What matters is your heart, you have a great personality and you're very kind. When you want to be, you are also gentle. I have see that side of you before that many haven't” he began.

His fingers intertwined with hers, staring into her frost blue eyes. Alex held her hand with the small box in the other. “Even if this is an arranged marriage, I am glad it’s with you. You’re beautiful and you know no bounds when it comes to your love. LeeAnn...Alister Nakamura, would you be my wife” he spoke. He got down on one knee, holding out a better and more expensive ring that reflected her personality. “I know my first proposal wasn’t good. I wanted to redo this moment” he smiled. When she said ‘yes’, she would leap into his arms as they would spin around with Alex embracing his future wife.

Time was all she could give him. It would allow him to let out all the jailed emotions. She knew he would feel relieved after all of this is over. Alex took his time as she sat there silently, supporting him. There was a time she needed him when she came back from being kidnapped. He was there to listen to her, now it was her to return the favor. Ragtime remained silent the whole time. She could see his shoulders heaving and staggering having the weight of his anxiety and fear consume him. After a while, he thanked her, but asked why a man like him deserves to live. She furrowed her brow and slapped him upside the head. "Don't ever talk like that again! You have every right to live as Lector, a fly, or a fish does. A shark eats a fish, what rights do they have? I never want to hear that out of your mouth, again. You need to live on for what you believe in. Isn't that what you told me one time" she scolded him. She gave him a stern stare before smiling back at him. Usually, she was very stern and serious, but she couldn't stay mad at him. He was way too kind and thoughtful to be treated as such. Alex made her feel like melted chocolate on a hot day. He apologized for being so emotional.

I cannot be mad at you, Alex. You're too sweet for you own good that you give my cavities" she laughed. He out on a tight black shirt that caused her to stare for a while. His muscular tone body was very toned with his broad chest. She covered her mouth a little bit with her hand. "Seriously? Eeeewwwww. Gross, eeeewww" spewed Ragtime. LeeAnn felt a bit annoyed by the spirit's antics. He took her hand into his. Both of his mix-matched eyes stared at her own. A pink hue rushed to her cheeks forcing her to grow a little nervous. The small velvet had slipped her mind. Her attention was focused on her Alex. He spoke to her about how he felt about her. The words spoken from his lips were laced with care and kindness. She felt her stomach blossom with emotions causing her to feel emotions she hadn't even experienced since Hans or Kazimir. Her blue eyes watered, she pursed her lips to prevent from crying. "Alex...I...you...Oh...I don't know what to say" she teared up. Alex still wasn't done. It was true this was an arranged marriage, but it was at the request of LeeAnn. She knew if her father approved, then she would approve. He wasn't the type to accept any guy that waltz in wanting his only daughter's hand in marriage. When Connor mentioned Alex, the offer was already on the table. It was offical. Alex literally had no objections, infact, if brightened his whole outlook on life.

"Alex, you are the best...thing..in the world that's ever happened to me. I literally mean that you doof. So, don't overthink it" she teased. He was glad this arranged marriage was with her, she nodded in agreement. Though, he started to get down on one knee and open the box. He was redoing the proposal since the first time was in the guild library. The poor guy was all nerves, this time he seemed more confident and comfortable. "Alex...yes. You know my answer!" She would leap into his arms and he would swing her around.

As they slowed down, both of their foreheads touched. They both laughed as LeeAnn smiled. "Why did you redo the proposal, if I may ask? I am not picky. I am just curious, I think nervous Alex proposing in the guild library is a great thing" she smiled. LeeAnn wrapped her arms around him and leaned in to kiss him. Their lips touch for a minute or two. Immediately, Ragtime started to make gagging noises and pretend barf. "WWWHHHYYYY??? Get a room, you two! Please, for the sake of anything holy and great, get. A. Fucking. Room. Think of my innocence and sanity, too much romance. EEEEWWWW BLECH" complained Ragtime. LeeAnn grew tired of his shit, but she didn't want to say anything. She would feel stupid to ruin such a perfect moment.

Alex grew a little anxious with Lee's reaction. She smacked him upside the head. This caused him to flinch a little at her reaction. Instead, she reprimanded him for saying such things. Comparing him killing people and being a Frankenstein to a shark eating a fish. This made him laugh a little. Alex rubbed the back of his head, admiring her strength behind it. He looked up after apologizing for being so emotional. Lee basically was amused and admitted he could stay mad at him. Alex felt a little embarrassed by the comment. He grew a little uneasy with all these nice compliments. He almost ran out of things to say or even think.

After he proposed, there were a few seconds of silence that made him very nervous. A wave of relief wash over him when she spat out "Yes!". Alex had prepped for this moment a thousand times. I'm his right mind, he had to get this perfect unlike the first time. He felt ready. Though she asked why he redid the proposal. Quickly, he grew clammy. "I-I...uhm...I thought the first time was a bust. I mean library and proposal doesn't sit right with me" he replied. The former Rune Knight picked up his future wife in a bridal style and took her to their bed. Gently, he placed her down and crawled up next to her. He wrapped his arm around her stomach and cuddled up to her.

LeeAbn's body heat was warm and comforting to him. It helped calm his nerves a little. His chin rested on the crook of her neck. "What would your daughter think of me...being her new dad" he asked. It was a question he had to ask eventually. The subject of Hikari hadn't really come up, which was surprising for him since LeeAnn couldn't stop talking about her daughter. Guess it was a subject she didn't want to talk about? "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to" he added. He could feel his tail spiking up from his anxiety. Personally, he was never good with confrontation. Hikari wasn't really around when they first met for their date. How would she act with him being her father? Would she accept him? He really had a thousand questions and little answers. His grip on LeeAnn tightened with his fear and own thoughts.

His reply to her question caused her to crack a grin. A laugh came from her lips. He was silly for thinking things like that. It was the charm of loving a person like Alex. Little things such as this were moments that she really was attracted to. They had known each other for years. It wouldn't be a surprise if they both decided to have kids within a year, but they both knew the answer to that. The advantages marrying your childhood crush and friend were you already knew them. He had small habits like loving the smell of freshly cooked bread or staring at the sky for longer than the average person. These small things made up for a whole person that she could called her husband.

For so long, she yearned for a gentle soul to coddle and care for her. Love her the same as she would love them. A mutual bond that went deeper than any tree roots ever could. Alex swept her off her feet, which caused the kitsune to yelp. A weird fox noise escape from her lips that made her grow the same pink hue from before, only darker this time. "Now that was a new sound. I didn't know you were a squeaky toy" laughed Ragtime. This caused her ears to flatten and cover her face with Alex's chest. Gently, he placed her down on the bed and embraced her. Alex's touch was soothing to her. Easily, she could fall asleep like this.

Though, Alex on the other hand, seemed rather stressed. It was apparent by the tone of his voice and mannerisms, not to mention his grip on her was tight. LeeAnn wheezed a little. "Tight. Too tight...thank you" she huffed. LeeAnn was asked about Hikari. The subject really wasnt something she wanted to talk about because Hikari really didn't know what a dad was. She thought she was going to get replaced by Alex and having another child. "She doesn't quite understand that whole situation. In her mind, you're going to replace her. She may need some time to adjust, but she's quite resilient" she replied. There was hope for Hikari, but time would only tell. She would have to get used to it because Alex wasn't leaving any time soon.

LeeAnn pulled out of Alex's embrace. Quietly, she unwrapped her tails. This was something she normally didn't do for too many people. Alex as one of the few that did get to do this. Her tails were rather sensitive to touch. There were more nerve endings in her tails than in other parts of her body. Anyone who touched them could cause her to freak out. Bad experiences with people touching her tails, but if they were gentle enough, she wouldnt mind. LeeAnn made fox like noises out of excitement when she stared at Alex. "Uhm...this is going to be weird, but normally, I hate people touching my kitsune tails. Though, if you're gentle enough you're more than welcome to pet them. I think I could only trust you with this task. It calms me down and can put me to sleep" she admitted. No one knew that secret but Ragtime. It was something they both agreed to be hush-hush.

Alex grew a little surprised with the noise his fiance made. It was a whining sound with a trill from her throat. If he wasn't mistaken, he remembered she was half-kitsune. The sound she made amused him a little. She seemed embarrassed by the random noise. Once they had their fun, the serious talk about Hikari finally came up. He was so nervous, he was basically squeezing the life out of her. His arms loosened his grip on her allowing her to breathe. LeeAnn hestitated before speaking to answer his question. She explained the little girl was too young to fully understand what was going on. In all honesty, that's the answer he expected. Full heartedly, he wanted this relationship to take it's time to let things settled at the right pace. Taking something this serious way too fast could result in disaster. Sernia and him did that and look where he ended up. Though, this was a better situation than his first relationship.

"I suspected that would be the case. Nonetheless, she will come around, I assure you. Hikari's intelligent and kind much like her mother. I know this maybe prying too much, but is...she your real daughter? I apologize for asking all these question, but I never known you to be the type to have or want children" he spoke. It was something that was on his mind. For as long as he knew the woman, she liked the idea of never having children because they were a lot of work. Things have changed for sure. He wasn't going to complain at all since he never thought about the subject. Alex was just happy to have someone he loved in his life. "Either way, children or not. I want you to be my beloved" he smiled. Their fingers intertwined with each other making his face grow that same pink hue LeeAnn had made earlier.

Though, it didn't last long. His eyes lifted to LeeAnn unwrapping her tail which later became TAILS. His eyes widen to her few tails she had. Since become stressed, she had lost a few tails. She was down to four. LeeAnn turned her head away from Alex becoming a little shy. She gave him permission to pet her tails. His eyes stared at her very wary then he stroked one of her tails. He knew all too well how sensitive they were given by the way she talked about it. "I can see why you wrap these up. They are so soft" he complimented. He continued to stroke her tails then went to stroke her hair. This seemed to calm down both of them a little bit with the nerves of still trying to get to know each other. "I know you don't read, but you should pick up this book. It's called 'Red Roses give to a Phenoix'. It's about this kitsune who is in love with a prince. The prince doesn't notice her. She disguises herself as the princess he is destined to marry. Infact, she even goes as far as to make her lies a truth. Eventually, they find her out, but the prince's brother finds her beautiful. It's an odd plot, but I think you'd like it since your a sucker for romance" he spoke. He wrapped his arms around her torso with his face into her neck, kissing it slowly.

For many years, suitors would only want LeeAnn for the title of taking the 'head' of the family away from her. To bare their child. Once they heard she was not a pushover like some women of rich status, they got scared. What was even worse, she was infertile. That was a stab in the heart for her. Due to all the illnesses and health problems she had way back when, it scarred her now. Free from the chains of the parasite plague she could finally live her life. Only to have a special part of ripped from her. Many suitors or guys lost interest. Even if she was going to turn then down anyways, made her feel worthless and unwanted. The thought of adoption had crossed her mind until Hikari fell in her lap. The small demi-human shark girl was a sign to her. To start a family.

Alex asked about it. The thought of telling him would make her heart sink. Visibly, the subject made her upset, saddness and deperssion upset. LeeAnn had her fox ears folded down. "Alex, I swear your are too good for me. Though, she is not my real daughter. Hikari's adopted. Ryu and I found her abandon in a camp after a rampage attack by a spirit we were finding. She was the lone survivor, the people who took her in were mercenaries that felt bad for her" she spoke. The thought of that very day finding Hikari soaked in blood and dirt, scared. It scared her to think what would of happened if she hadn't found her in time. "Alex, I want you to know something. I'm...incapable of baring children. I wanted some, but no matter how hard I try, my body is too damaged for such a thing" she added. She felt his fingers lock with hers. He stared right into her eyes with a smile, but serious stare. Alex spoke that he with such loyalty and kindness. He was never the type of guy to leave anyone for their faults. In fact, he was maybe a little too loyal and made him look a little clingy. Though, she didn't mind that at all. He spoke to her admiring her and accepting her faults. Tears formed in her eyes and she embraced him quickly, falling back on top of him.

Alex seemed fond her her tails. His gentle touch made her squirm a little. The gentler touch it made her shiver with chills down her spines. There were more nerves in her tails. The mentioned of even a book made her smile. The guy was a library nerd, hell the first proposal was in a library of all things. She will not let him down on that one.
