Kailani took a deep breath of the fresh, morning air of the seaside town of Hargeon, the wind picking up and causing her purple pigtails to dance with the breeze. While she had grown used to the sounds and scents of the area now she'd been living here for a while, she still hadn't finished exploring every nook and cranny. She had ditched her best friend for the day, figuring since they didn't have plans to work or hang out today she must be free to do some exploring on her own for once.

As the wind mage made her way through the cobblestone streets she'd find herself once more in the heart of the town square. It wasn't overly large, but it hosted a beautiful fountain and plenty of peaceful places to sit and relax. Kailani counted two people currently already sitting down on the wooden benches despite being so early in the morning. One was enjoying a drink and reading the paper whilst the other seemed to have their eyes closed, either deep in thought or possibly even nodding off, perhaps they had stayed up late the night before.

Kailani chuckled quietly to herself at the thought of falling asleep so easily in public before her lilac eyes caught sight of something. Someone walking out of a store with something that looked awfully similar to what Yuurei had prepared for their picnic a week back. Sushi! She had only had it once so far, prepared by her best friend and while she hadn't planned to find a place that sold some, she wasn't about to say no.

Picking up her pace to a brisk walk she'd soon find herself in front of the store, peering inside briefly before pushing open the door. The place was pretty empty, but it was still quite early in the day, with only a couple of patrons currently sitting and having a morning drink. She let out the breath she had been subconsciously holding, at least it wasn't overly crowded. Her heart began to beat faster as her anxiety grew slightly as she entered to look around, her eyes trailing over the room and taking in all the decor.

Manzo

Another glorious day in hargeon, something that he did not take for granted. Life was far too fragile to take lightly, but then again, if you do what you love, who really cares. Which is what the dragon slayer was doing with his little shoppe in the center of town.

He began the day preparing the fish for the sushi along with Happy. It was their morning ritual after all. Skinning the fishing and preparing it for the days consumers. There was something almost therapeutic about it to be completely honest. Though he wasn't sure what it was truthfully.

Perhaps it was the sound of the knife against the scales. The satisfaction of a fully cleaned fish. Or maybe it was something so thoughtless that his mind had the ability to wander while also making money. Though the money was not all that important to be completely honest.

Now that the doors had opened for the day, the usuals were funneling through the doors, getting their lunches for the day. Todays specials were salmon bento, spicy tuna roll, eel roll, as well as tuna sashimi and tataki. So a little something for everyone in all honesty.

Yes today was a good day to fill the bellies of his patrons, but then again, so was yesterday.

Kailani Fleurn †
Kalani cautiously stepped inside, a chime of entrance signaling the arrival of her as a patron as she made her way towards where a small line of people ordering their lunches had formed. A couple of strangers' eyes met hers briefly due to her entrance, but it seemed they were far too busy with their own orders and food to be bothered by the wood elf.  She silently stalked towards the counter, taking her spot in line as she tried to recall the names of the things Yuurei had taught her the other day. Already forgetting the names of the food she had liked the best, but she did recall what they looked like, so that was a start.

Her nerves caused her to shake slightly as she grew closer to the front of the line, it wouldn't be long until she'd have to force herself to make conversation and place her order. The thought of leaving crossed her mind, but she'd already come this far, and the thought of delicious food was too good to pass up.

"How does he do it again...?" She whispered to herself as she attempted to remember how her friend confidentially made orders for them. Peaking around the last customer ordering in front of her she'd spy the man that seemed to be running the joint, however, he wasn't alone, next to him was the most adorable thing she'd ever laid eyes on, a bright blue cat that caused Kailani's heart to miss a beat.

It was so cute she wanted to squeal out in excitement, her worries over how others would react keeping her from doing so. Despite trying to control herself, the look in her eyes would give her away, the thought of ordering food leaving her mind as she wanted nothing more than to pet the adorable animal. Before she knew it she was next up to order, her mind now completely fixated on the enchanting creature.
