Zyl Noct
Walking through the streets of Oak City, Zyl is trying to figure out what his next steps are. He's heard that there are guilds here that could potentially help him improve his skills, which is a must for him right now... as is trying to find a way to make money.

Absent-mindedly he walks, until an old man calls out suddenly "Hey! You! Yeah, you with the hooded cloak! Come here, I got something to ask of you since you've been walking in circles for the better half of the afternoon."

"No. Whatever scams your selling, I want no part in it old man." Zyl replies coldly.

"Nothing of the sort! You see..." The old man learns in closer so he could speak in a hushed tone "I'm looking for someone to teach this brat a lesson, little bugger keeps stealing from my store and I've had enough. Now I don't want the kid hurt too bad, but I want him to know that he ain't gonna get 100% discounts off me no more... I can pay if you do this for me."

Amused by the oddity of this request, Zyl contemplates it for a moment. "Okay, who's the kid?" He says reaching into his cloak "I'll see to it he gets the message, without much harm of course." Zyl ends his statement with a grin. His hand resting on one of his pistols in it's holster.

Looking around the crowd, the old man's face seems to lighten a little as he points at the child. "There's the little guy now... what are ya waiting for? Go get him! and make sure to bring him back here so he can apologize properly!"

Walking up to the kid, he takes off running, almost as if he knows that Zyl was sent after him.
"HEY! Get back here kid! I am NOT in the mood! gods damn it all..."
Zyl, annoyed, starts running after the kid. Impressed by the kid's surprising speed, knowledge of the streets around him and his deftness in a crowd. Zyl just couldn't let this end too fast, he wanted the kid to feel like he was winning, so Zyl hung back just enough in the chase for a few minutes through the streets.

Several corners later and a bunch of people shoved later, Zyl figured it was about time to wrap this up. "Kid, hate that it has to be this way... but them's the works!"
Pulling out his pistol and picking up his speed, he easily catches the kid by the back of his shirt and lift him slightly into the air.

"LET ME GO! I DIDN'T DO IT! LET! ME! GOOOO!"
The kid screams repeatedly. Zyl was getting annoyed further and tries to speak but the kid keeps cutting him off and screaming over his voice. "Fine... I know how to deal with brats like you" Zyl whispers as he raises the pistol beside the kid's head facing into the street below and pulls the trigger.

*BANG!!!*

"Now kid... I don't have the patience for you, so you will shut it... AND you will listen! There's a shopkeep back there who wants a word with you. You WILL apologize to him, and you will promise to never steal again. No stop squirming you lit-" as the kid tries to break free, Zyl decides to stick the barrel of the pistol to the kid's neck.

The kid screams in pain as Zyl realizes that the barrel was slightly heated from firing off a round.
"Sorry about that... but I need you to behave, now... let's go" Zyl walks off towards the shopkeep dragging the kid behind him.

The shopkeep sees Zyl approaching and looks eager for results. Zyl pulls the kid to his feet and pushes him in the direction of the shopkeep. "I believe we had already discussed what you should say?" *click!* Zyl pulls the hammer back on his pistol causing the kid to flinch and nod his head.

"I'm sorry for stealing from you Mr. I promise to never steal ever again for as long as I live!" he half cries/half sobs out.

"Don't you forget this boy, now run along! And you!" The old man throws a small bag at Zyl "This is for the trouble."

"Walking away with money is always a good thing, and who knows? maybe coming here wasn't such a bad idea after all?" Zyl thinks to himself as he walks off back into the streets wondering what to do next...
