For a while now, Éta knew about potions and perks that come along with magic, being able to change one's appearance was as easy as drinking water, sometimes it brought on excruciating pain - they knew that first class - other times it was as painless as getting a small cut on your fingers that you didn’t even know about. For Étaoin though, this change was different, it was pain free but, they had changed completely and even if areas didn’t return or did return, living the way they had for so long, would not change. So after buying the potion, Éta downed it the moment they had reached an inn, and prayed to the god that they did not believe in that it didn’t hurt. After downing the potion, Étaoin instantly felt themselves black out on the inn bed.

Sometime later, with a throbbing headache, and limbs that felt like lead, Étaoin awoke with a groan. Sitting up slowly, dark eyes glanced around the room, gaining barings back remembering where they were, glancing at the empty glass bottle next to them. “Righ’ I drank that physique potion…” Mumbling to themselves quietly, slipping off the bed towards the only mirror in the room, to see how it changed. What they wanted to be, from the beginning, but couldn't. How they wanted to have similar features to the parents they didn’t quite know, but the face of a mother that they remembered taking care of when they were younger. Staring in the mirror, hand lifted to the high cheekbones, and the slanted but alluring eyes, hair still dark, but much much shorter.

They’re thoughts instantly jumped back to how much trouble this could cause in the short run, mostly on what friends who knew they’re previous look, before this happened. It was a spontaneous decision, but also something that Étaoin had been pondering over for quite some time, but spontaneous to go through with it now of all moments. Dressing was going to be a problem. It seemed they had grown a little in height compared to before, but sure enough, the clothes that Priscilla had brought, should fit them, after all it was baggy clothing and boots.

Changing was a hassle but it got done, and now for their next quest. Finding people or a person, it was time to continue the little game of hide and seek with a good friend of theirs. Exiting the inn, Étaoin made their way down the streets, and hopefully they would run into the person they wanted to actually meet with, if he was still in the city that was.

Wondering around, they soon stepped from the shortcut they had found which led towards the main market and store area, though they tried to avoid the open grass area. What good was a game of hide and seek, if you stood in the open. Pausing for a second, Étaoin rethought the little quip when they realised; would Azure still recognise them, even though their appearance had changed quite drastically - in Éta’s opinion anyway - from a month ago? Maybe hiding in plain site, was the best option, it was less likely to draw unwanted attention, which would most definitely draw the attention of their peculiar friend. Stepping into the crowd that had somewhat gathered, Étaoin felt a little uncomfortable, but confident enough that it was going to be a good game this time round.

Glancing through the store windows, of some clothing shops, window shopping at best, they had already processed the essential items needed for the new change, and clothes that fitted their new structure was a must, though the baggy combats brought by Cilla at least finally fitted them. Étaoin wondered if they still had that brand on their leg, even after the potions changed, but scratched it down to a near possibility, because even though they had changed their clothes once before already, the mage didn’t really check the rest of their appearance.

Stepping into the store, they glanced over the clothing on the rails and shelves, trying to feel if you would say, whether or not it was their go to kind of material. Picky as they might be, sometimes Étaoin had a nift for certain styles. A few clothes caught their almost black eyes, as they gathered them into their arms before heading towards a fee changing room. Their thoughts drifted back to how the seeker was going to react once he had caught Éta and finished this round of the game.
Pulling on the red thermal, Éta nodded in the mirror, once again thoughts drifting down a different route when there was a small growl that was none other than their stomach, whining that it wanted food. Honestly drinking the potion on an empty stomach, probably was not their best course of action. ‘Mhm, maybe I should get food after this.’ Slipping on the denim jacket, they soon left the changing rooms, and went to pay for the clothes, handing over the price tags. “Can I wear these out…? My other shirt is a little small…” A nervous chuckle left them, only for the checkout lady to sigh with a nod, and allowed them to pay, before leaving.

“Now to eat…” Glancing around Éta hummed, before doing what they did best, and heading for the cheaper food, which is their favourite place to eat out in Hosenka. The ramen stall, hopefully they were not found midst eating, because that would be kind of suckish, yet at the same time, Éta hasn't really just sat down and had a meal with their friend since the first time they met in Myras. Maybe they should wait until Azure found them, eating a meal with a friend always did taste better, but then if they didn’t eat now, Éta knew their stomach just would not shut up and continue it’s constant nagging to be fed immediately like a starving stray, though it’s not like they haven't been there before anyway, it’s just Étaoin would prefer not to venture into that life route again.

Étaoin hummed as they headed towards the ramen stall, they’re purplish eyes blinking as they saw the glimmers over their body. The shines were faint, hard to tell they were there, honestly Étaoin wondered if it was only them who could see these strange markings, and if it was only where their skin showed currently or if it was showing in other areas. Maybe they can question Azure when he shows up, but as far as Éta knows, they only have one marking and that is the mark that they still believe is currently placed on their thigh.

Waiting in line was not as fun as people thought it was, well maybe if you were waiting with friends it was, because then you had someone to talk to, but when you were waiting alone it was a different story. See before taking the potion Éta always had a problem with boy men and women alike, but now it was different, Éta seemed to take on a more masculine composition, but still had a feminine grace to themselves, so at least that was still with them. After all it is probably nice to finally be in the body you were originally born in? They were quite sure if they would feel that way tomorrow, but for now it felt strange. Tomorrow maybe it would be a bad thing, or maybe it would feel like it was normal. Who knew, Éta would just have to wait till tomorrow, to process that thought.

“Ahhh, I wonder where Azu is… Maybe I should go looking for him, but I'm already in the line, if I leave now I'll lose my spot…” scratching their head a little, Étaoin just sighed again. “I wonder how he is trying to locate me… Maybe he is overthinking things again?”

A frown laced Éta’s lips when the whispering aroused around them, some giggling as well, just for them to glance over their shoulder at the young group of girls waiting in line behind them. They seemed to possibly be talking about Éta, because when eye contact was made, they all suddenly fell quiet and some even flushed a little. Blinking Éta just let out a chuckle with a very soft smile at them, before turning back to concentrate on their current situation, deciding on what to do when Azure showed, because this round would be over when that happened.

It had been a while, and they wondered if the owner of the small ramen shack wanted them to leave yet or not, after all they weren’t eating anything and everyone else who was around in that long queue to get it, had already left after all there were mostly groups of friends waiting in that line. Sighing again as Étaoin just rested their head on top of folded arms, it was getting later and later into the evening, and even though they hadn’t really left their room until at least early afternoon, Éta was getting a little worried that Azure was lost somewhere within Hosenka, just trying to find them.

“What’s wrong son?” A quiet groan left Éta at the implications, but then again, guess it was bound to happen now, since they did look more male than androgyne now. “A friend… I’m playing a game with a friend and he still hasn’t found me, just wondering if he is overthinking stuff.” Raising their head, Éta turned to the owner and blinked before the man set a glass of water in front of them once again. “Well. I’m sure he will eventually come around here, as they usually do.” A small nod came in reply before Éta raised the glass to have a drink.

Silence fell over the little store that Éta had made to be their hideout in the game, until someone barged in randomly, and Éta was not jealous at all that this person didn’t need to wait in a long queue like they had too, but then it was getting late so it wasn’t that much of a surprise that no queues existed. Lifting their head at the name, “Hmm?” Turning to the stranger only for a small grin to lace their lips. “Found me, long time Azu~” The owner raised a brow before Éta turned towards the man. “My friend who was looking for me.” The man nodded, before gesturing to the spare stools in front of the bar. “Take a seat kid, I’ll get you some water.”
