Masami
"I need a visit somewhere before I leave."

On that night, Masami had ventured down the Smuggler's Steps one more time, except he was alone and his guild master was nowhere in sight. That man taught him how to hunt down criminals for justice, and Masami isn't the type to let new knowledge go without any sort of application. His mask was brought back to him, now worn at the side of his head. Thus, while the night was still eerily cold and quiet, he ventured down the steps to continue where he left off. Because Tomoe will not be here, then there's no reason to hold back... is that correct?

The only lights that lead his way were the stars in the sky, and then the moon that lit up so brightly. His only light source was the mana-infused flame that spun around his left pinky, leading his way; Masami wasn't afraid of how far he'd go in the area, because now he was confident enough that nobody is a better fighter than Tomoe Tanaka, and witnessing that live act inspired Masami enough to walk a path alone. "Let's see... we have three hours." he reminded himself: three hours enough to live or to die. That would be his last timer before he leaves Myras City, perhaps forevermore. After three hours, this burst of flame, now above Masami's head, will disperse into nothingness – reminding Masami that time is up. Thus, he continued to walk... not to mention, barefooted. The cold floors chilled even Masami's spine up to his whole head, because they took that single wooden slipper from him. Unlike Cinderella, Masami himself is coming back for the wooden slipper, even if it means hurting his own.

Finally, after fifteen minutes, he met eyes with a rogue whom vanished into the darkness right after spotting the foreigner. He had started to call the others using signals, but Masami already had uttered the word: "Superbia." thus letting the demon soul possess him, finally taking form of another person... no, this person was still him, albeit the demon had taken over. Because Masami was willing, the contract had been signed. His long, wavy blond hair reached his waist, and now even his clothes uttered a white color; embellished in sanguine gems and golden frames, Masami was free to move whenever.

"Not so fast." he told himself, dashing through the darkness and picking up the same rogue – unexpectedly, that said rogue's head was caught in Masami's grasp, and even Masami himself was surprised that he had caught him. Then, the boy threw this rogue with force, surprised by the strength that he 'borrowed' from the demon. The rogue's ribs made crackling noises when he finally met the floor, and Masami was kind enough to let him breathe for a moment. "Where are your friends?" Masami asked, lowering down to meet the rogue's eyes once again, but he kept looking away and was unwilling to answer. "Where are your friends?" the Joyan asked once more, but the rogue truly did not want to answer. In return, his eyes were plucked by two fingers, in which Masami swiftly drifted in the two holes without hesitation. The rogue, aware that he was not innocent at all, screamed in pain and cried a pool of blood. The sight to Masami, at the moment, was absolutely... satisfying? Was that the right word? If his guild master was here, perhaps Masami would not do this because of the fear of being disliked and... feared. To be feared by many, at the moment, felt underwhelming to Masami, as if it simply was not even enough.

Then, he stood up – blood still dripping off of two fingers, being surrounded by complete darkness. "How come your friends are not coming to save you?" he asked, believing that it isn't his fault if he wasn't being understood due to language barriers. These people are criminals, and Masami isn't convinced that they shouldn't be in pain like this. Justice; the pain being inflicted upon them are still not enough to match the victims they exterminated. "Shall I let you live a little longer?" in these moments, the one being in such pain would have begged for their own heads to detach from their bodies... at least, that was how the scripts went. Finally, his instincts reacted, how swift they have been is not enough for Masami. Although they were running towards him, all at once, Masami had enough time to move the Momijigari in front of his face. "My... how swift my enemies have been."

Masami
"What do you want to know?" asked the same Joyan rouge, his lips starting to tremble along with his legs. Masami brushed a finger over his victim's cheeks, down to his chest. "Everything you know about a woman named Neru." said Masami, but he was still thinking of other questions to ask. Rogues, informants, these sorts of people know a lot that normal people usually don't, and Masami isn't letting this opportunity go that easily. Although he hesitated, the man continued to answer the blond's question. "Thread Mage, she owns many establishments... in Hosenka, East Fiore." Knowing well where he's positioned, huh? The thought made Masami smile, leaning his head against his victim's shoulder. "Enough." Masami cut him off, although he still had many questions in his head. "Give me information about all the guilds that you know." Now... that's quite cheating, isn't it, Masami? His questions weren't so entertaining, neither were they creative, but more desperate at most. He saw the man stutter, processing his memories, knowing that he won't be able to live if he ever lied. Masami was no living lie-detector, not unless his heart speaks this time.

The same man who approached Masami slammed a drink in the table, "Now, you're being selfish." he joked, pushing the glass mug on Masami's chest while getting closer to the blond's face. "Huh, huh... let's see what you've g—huh... aren't you the—?" a red flag? A red flag. Masami kicked his jaw upwards and leaped on top of the table, and then the rest of the rogues started pointing their weapons at Masami. "He–! He's the aristocrats' watchdog!" the recently-kicked man shouted, with an attempt to escape by crawling down to the ground, not having enough energy as to ask for help. Hearing that last word from him, Masami raised a pinky finger and blew through it, attacking the man itself. Masami didn't need to watch the man burn, immediately hopping off to a roof, creating a three-meter distance from everyone in the low-ground. "Familiar even with the mask? Such a waste of talent." could have been used on something useful, compared to rogue-like actions. If he were to work for Masami then... then? Then he would've gotten a better life and not end to something like being mutated with the fire. "Attack that mage, boys!" shouted the big man, the one whose lap was sat on by Masami. Expectedly, everyone else but the big man and the Joyan rogue, leaped with their weapons ready to attack the blond, but what they met at their end was another burst of fire.

Attacking their abdomen, Masami breathed through the mask and released fire through it, turning his head to attack multiple targets at once while the fire was still on-going. Then, he dashed away then leaped once more, kicking mainly the heads of these rogues. "I am better... than an aristocrats' watchdog." he directed this message at the Joyan rogue, as he was the only one who could understand Masami at this point. He definitely didn't like hearing other people assume that Masami was someone who works for such treacherous... incompetent people. Aristocrats? The aristocrats Masami knew in the court before were almost the same. Those who never knew how to act right, nor did they know how to abruptly use their minds on the go... such people were the people Masami hated. Now that these three rogues are beaten up, barely breathing, there are only two left.

"You," Masami pointed at the Joyan rogue, "tell your friend to come back to his mothers' womb while he's still at it." Ultimately, Masami didn't want to fight anymore; secondly, a mean banter was enough to keep this going. Just like what Masami ordered, the Joyan rogue translated exactly what Masami said into Fiorian... and obviously, the big guy wasn't so pleased with this. "You...!" he raised a palm in the air, facing Masami, then binding him in dark magic. Masami's arms and legs were tightened on a strap of black-colored mana, then he was pulled for the big guy to attack with his claymore-like weapon. While the distance still existed, Masami tried to stretch his bonded arm to create a Nakizo mask, created out of flames, thus having the man strike the gigantic mask instead, giving Masami time to break the bondage and counterattack with another burst of flame. However, certainly, he was tough.

He looked through the mask... and then the oni glared. Supposedly, this big guy's weaker than before because of a spell. "Want to live a better life?" asked Masami, directing the message to the Joyan rogue who was right behind Masami, not doing anything but watch the two fight. "Your boss, if I am correct, will not be helping you in the future." a statement that struck the Joyan rogue; the big guy now charged despite their five-meter distance and his slow running speed, but Masami still had more to say. "But I will, so trust me, as a fellow Joyan." Now, Masami lunged to the side, jumping on top of the table then flipping backwards, supposedly in order to ride the man's shoulders so that the blond would be able to twist his neck.

Masami
However, even after what Masami said, the man stood still and observed everything, but not entirely accomplishing everything. When Masami saw this, he gave up on the Joyan rogue and focused on the big guy; his eyes met with the challenger, getting Masami's ankle grabbed by his large hand and then slammed down to the ground. "How's that, huh?" one more time, to the other side, Masami was slammed... and again, and again. Masami's bones seemed to break because of the sound they made each time he was being slammed, and now he acted as if he was immobile, moving his mask to the side of his face so that he'd be able to breathe properly. The big guy was on top of him, his sword ready to cut through Masami's flesh, but what was inside Masami's arsenal isn't finished.

When stretched his arm out to once again bind Masami in his own mana, the target smirked, and now this big guy's struggling to get out of his own spell. "Ah, this reverse." he uttered without moving on his spot, but the big guy rolled like an egg... does he not know how to break out of his own spell? How idiotic. Masami couldn't move, still, waiting for his legs to recover so that he may be able to move once again – however, before he could, the big guy broke out and grabbed his sword, raising it up in the air. Now, Masami was thinking that if he dies here then... he'd be a spirit, a vengeful spirit, who scorches the land in his haunting. Although he planned to roll to the side, the Joyan rogue had spoken once more.

"I have... watched many of your shows, with my daughter back in the land."

The big guy's sword dropped from his palms, and Masami rolled away just in time for the sharp end to dig deep into the cold ground. Before that was a sound of something exploding, and the big guy's mouth breathed blood. Could it be that... his heart exploded, because of this Joyan rogue? The said rogue ran towards Masami, who was now too tired to remain in the form, converting back into his original appearance; he held his back and pulled the boy up, casting a spell, thus the blond whimpered in great pain... but the aftermath granted the boy great healing, as well. "Thanks." he quietly muttered, forcing himself to stand up. "My slipper... mother... she gave—!" Although it was painful, he was shushed by the Joyan rogue. "I know where it is. Let me guide you out, then we can talk." Now, he was assisted in walking, just in time as the flame above Masami would vanish.
