Truth be told, the Sinese was bothered by the latest attempt he was recruited to take part in. On top of being relegated to a part he himself was awfully uncomfortable in, the end result was merely a few people watching and ultimately, nothing was done for Marigold Theater's reputation itself; and with that being the main objective the client had, one would worry how such a request would promote it. Granted, if there was any merit to the last request, it would be how Jan learned to show on stage, and it served to slightly lift away his surprising stagefright.

You'd think a diplomat that practiced a professional smile would easily take charge of a scene on stage, but no. That was unfortunately false.

Regardless-- "That didn't have any merit at all!" The young man complained, confronting the client shortly after their performance. While the actor in question thought this was a good enough way to promote the theater, Jan thought otherwise. Not just because he was forced to act, but also out of some experience he held. "Do not take this the wrong way," he started, still in his explanation; "but I figure that if we wanted to make sure people came to the theater, simple skits and small shows won't cut it." He struck out, holding at his chin with a finger and a thumb; almost like in thought.

Despite the charade he put on, he already had an idea in mind. "What we need, is a good marketing strategy." He claimed; "Something to hook people in. If we don't get a proper crowd as it is, simple rumors can still work, but it'll be far too slow. So... Lend me some of your time for a bit. We'll go over something we can try." The Sinese suggested, interlocking both hands inside his long sleeves. Putting on a rather devious smirk, as he already began running the plan through his head.

It took little convincing for the client to give in, the lad being understandably open-minded to new possible tactics to promote his passion. And with that, Jan was allowed to manage a campaign; for a bit.

That said. What kind of strategies can one pull off in such a short amount of time?

Between two hours ago and next performance, there stood a measely four hours before the next run would go up on stage. It would be their evening run, and the next would come up in the next day's morning. Jan was no marketing god, neither was he a legit strategist; truth be told, even the most influential of people couldn't bring a significant change in four hours' time. However, there was no need. The Sinese was well-aware that it wouldn't happen overnight, that more would flock to the theater. However, if he was allowed two days to work, such would be find. In either way, the client wouldn't pay until there was some change.

And so, the young man got to work. Piecing together a flier, and reaching out to some of the authorities in Marigold. Even contacting the local Farmer Jim for help. There were several procedures to his workplan, all of which took time. He had to do all in order.

After the fliers were completed, at least ten identical ones taken to a fine magical printing workshop (granted some of the theater funds to edit and publish those too), Jan hung a single flier not too far from the theater. On his 'journey' to establish a better reputation for the theater, he reached the farmlands. "--Yeah. When tomorrow comes, I could use a quick favor." What the young Sinese had in mind, was a small deal. Granting Farmer Jim free entrance to the theater, and a considerable discount to his family should he want to visit; on the condition that, he would spread the word of the theater's 'growing reputation' and good plays, as well as display the flier through his workers. All was good; Jan's job wasn't to bring more money to the theater, it was to increase its reputation and bring it some more light.

It didn't end there, however. The next stop happened to be one a tad more difficult to negotiate with. Though, he was confident it'll work.

The local Lord at Marigold probably had the most influence over the town. Though with the hour Jan finished with the Farmer, he figured he'd have to wait and set the final part of his small-time plan in motion, only the next day's morning.

And come morning, the theater did seem to gather a bit more of a crowd. Surely enough, its reputation and the general citizens' view wouldn't switch overnight; it was a process, and both the client and the Sinese were aware of that. However, if every day would have a little progress, by the end of the month the scene would look far different from its start. This was what Jan was aiming for, with maximum effectiveness (to the best of his ability, of course).

Negotiating with Lord Syllas wasn't easy. The man in question barely has any time to see peasants-- I mean, commoners anyway. So to bring word to him would take too long. Which means, another bragain attempt would be struck up. Not with the man in question, but rather... With his charming daughter.

Having came in contact with the young girl before, Jan took over the 'guise' of an escort to the young noblewoman, seeing her outside the gates of the castle. His familiarity with her proving to work for him, he was at least allowed to take up the lord's influence through his family. The toughest part in this specific stage though, wasn't spreading the theater's word; but to hold himself enough to focus on the mission at hand.

Taking the young noblewoman to a tour, Jan set his sights on a specific construction site. One he worked at before. Yes, his entire plan revolved around reaching out, not to strangers, but to influential people he had already come in contact with. Having the Lord's daughter by his side immediately struck the slightly motivated workers' interest, and with some explanation and seemingly easy banter, the duo managed to score some proper social interaction-- promoting the theater at the same time.

He's reached out to every spot he properly knew in Marigold. Hard work and drive, pay off; not necessarily immediately, though with the charade this foreigner managed to pull, the second day of his work managed to prove many more visitors to the theater. Despite its contents remaining the same, the mere wordspread already brought in more of a considerable crowd.

"That should do it..." He assumed, meeting up with the client shortly after a surprisingly crowded show. With this performance, the client was clearly more satisfied. "If you keep this up, I'm certain the theater will eventually get back to its former days."

"I wish you nothing but the best." With that, Jan accepted his pay once more.
