PouchKaz was meditating once more in the training hall of the guild. There was a large balcony more like a platform that extended out over the mountain. Air flowed freely beneath it and all around. If one fell off the side it'd be nearly a straight shot down.
It was here he could get his best thinking done and the rest of the training hall was behind him. He was in deep contemplation about a new type of spell for the coming tournament. He didn't intend on winning but it was a good chance to test his abilities.
Kaz rose from his seated position and cracked his neck to both sides. Sliding his robe off and setting it on the ledge he focused on the arena he was in. Wind gathered around him like a building storm. Small at first, but with more concentration it was pulling together. What he had in mind was more devious than destructive. He needed something to catch people off guard with and if this worked it would mark a change in his combat style. Something more dastardly than a face to face conflict.
The wind pulled in around him and a magic circle appeared on his hand. It swirled around his open hand that he held like a tiger's claw. Gripping his hand together, the wind became more condensed.
He clenched his fist and extended his senses to the world that was around him. He could feel all the currents of the wind blowing in different directions and uniform all at the same time.
Different places held densities of wind that varied from one another. He shifted his focus between all of those places. Much like the whirlwinds he created he felt out the regions and focused the wind in those areas. Bringing them close and then releasing them.
He held the image in his mind and thrust his fist forward. A white magic circle appeared and from it, a blade of wind shot out. Kaz dove to the side as it cut into the bannister behind him. Not wasting any time, Kaz thrust his fist once more. The blade of wind shot out once more and this time, Kaz swung his fist to the left. The blade of wind that came out of the circle immediately veered in that direction. He slammed his fist downward and the blade cut into the floor of the balcony shattering the concrete.
One more spell in the arsenal.
