Yumi hummed a soft melody as she sat at a small table at an open cafe. The demoness was sipping an iced coffee. Licking the cream away from her top lip the lolita listened in on the surrounding conversations. It seemed the Lich that had made Oak his home was still causing trouble even after the destruction of his skeleton beasts at her hands. Yumi's name had quickly spread throughout oak once it had been known the Witch of Carnage was in town and had dealt with the invasion. Yumi's name was usually accompanied by fear and despair, but at the moment it was sung with prayers. It seemed the people of oak didn't care that she was a murderous demon over eighty years old who was known for leaving nothing but death and destruction in her wake. The townsfolk only cared that Yumi had assisted them in their time of need by jumping into action and eliminating the skeleton beasts that had been causing mayhem for them.

Yumi snorted in amusement, she couldn't be bothered with the antics of mortal beings. She was no hero, but a harbinger of death and destruction. However, at the moment she needed money and taking a neutral quest like that had been just the thing it had earned little money but it was enough for now. Taking a sip of her drink, Yumi soon looked up as a man approached, the spokesperson from the other day who had been seeking the assistance of others to wipe out the Lich's beasts. Yumi eyed the man as she sat down opposite her. He appeared quite nervous and was sweating. It was only natural when one was in her presence, it didn't help that she was releasing a little of her fear aura.

The man began to speak, asking if Yumi would be interesting in undergoing another contract to hunt down some undead beasts. The lich had apparently made three more monstrous beasts. Unlike the last one, these would crawl out of the ground and slither around with their giant bodies. The upper body was two metres in size and the lower was serpentine made up of skulls was the same length. These behemoths had apparently shown up at the Majura Gallery and had begun tearing the place apart. The Phantasm family wanted Yumi to stop the beasts and eliminate them like she had done the last.

The spokesman of the Phantasm Family removed a parchment contract from his vest and handed over for Yumi to read. Unrolling the contract Yumi began to read over the details. The last job had only been a lowly C rank quest, relatively easy for her. This next one was labelled B-rank a step up from the last. Thinking to herself, the Lolita mulled over whether to accept the job. It would be a nice payout, one hundred million jewels. Yumi had over a million and a half jewels currently but needed over three hundred thousand more to buy an enhancement for her new magic. She wanted to buy the spell immunity enhancement allowing her to be immune to her own spells. This would allow her to become a walking bomb able to walk through her spells as she created oceans of fire.

Making up her mind the demoness pricked her finger on the giant battleaxe by her side to draw blood. Taking the bleeding finger she began to sign at the bottom of the contract. The moment her blood made contact it began to burn and was inscribed into the parchment. The symbol of malum appeared on the bottom to seal the deal. This contract was no longer ordinary, but a binding one, a demon contract, if either party failed to live up to their end of the bargain they would die. Rolling up the contract Yumi store dit in her dress, grabbed her axe and stood up. Not bothering to say goodbye the demoness headed off in the direction of the gallery. She intended to finish the job as quickly as possible. The earlier she finished the quicker she would get paid and the quicker she could move onto the next job. After all, time was money.

Yumi craned her next as she arrived at her Majura Gallery. Eyeing the abode where many artists have hung their work the demoness couldn't help but sneer in mild annoyance. Art, the demoness didn't understand the joy in it, to her, they were just useless paintings. The high priestess of Malum reached behind her back and drew the massive battleaxe placed there, drawing it in one swift motion and wielding it with one hand. Taking note of her surroundings, the front of the gallery had been smashed in. The behemoth's had already begun their rampage inside. Taking her first step the lolita headed in at a leisurely pace. She was not in any particular hurry to kill the behemoth's and would let them rampage inside the gallery for just a bit long.

Yumi could hear the anguished cries from within followed by the sound of destruction and unearthly roars. It seems the Behemoth's were having a lot of fun inside tearing the place apart and terrorising the guards and citizens within. Taking the step into one of the many galleries, Yumi was met with utter chaos and destruction. Corpses were strewn about, blood and guts covering the floor with rumble. The surrounding paintings torn, sculptures grumbled and walls collapsed. Examining the corpses, Yumi followed the trail of blood leading into a connecting gallery. Ignoring the artwork, Yumi laid focus on the beast that stood in the middle of the room, its claws impaling the body of a guard. The man was begging for help, his blood spilling out as his intestines dropped to the floor.

"No amount of help will save you," Yumi commented and with a flick of her wrist launched the giant axe in her possession. The axe flew through the air transforming into a shadow of death. The burning hot blade sliced through flesh slicing the man in two. The blade cut through the beasts claw making it howl in pain as it stumbled back. The guard now torn in two fell to the ground gasping and struggling to breathe.  Approaching the guard, Yumi paid him no mind and simply bent down to collect her axe which had buried into the marble floor. Ripping the weapon out of the ground, Yumi hefted it onto her right shoulder. With a swipe of her free hand, liquid fire poured out encasing the two halves of the dying guard. The fire exploded transforming into violent crimson flames. The guard wailed screaming in agony as the flames of her magic burned him alive reducing him to ash.

"So you're the big bad beasty I have to kill. I heard there were others." Yumi eyed the terrifying creature that easily dwarfed her in height. To her the beast really wasn't that horrifying, she had seen worse in the abyss, but not the ordinary fools she supposed it would induce nothing but fear in them. Raising her axe Yumi sprung into action. A pair of bat wings sprouted from her back, a tail grew from her tailbone as twin horns appeared on the sides of her head. The aura of an empress exploded as an aura of fear encompassed the area. Taking full advantage of her flight speed, Yumi flew in and swung her axe. The weapon crashed into the right side of the beast shattering bone and sending fragments flying. A shockwave exploded on contact from the force of the blow ripping the behemoth's body apart.

The behemoth didn't even have a chance to attack or cry out as its body was smashed to pieces with one swing.  "Well, that was disappointing." Yumi couldn't help but comment as she eyed the pile of broken bones. Snapping back to reality the ground began to shake before the floor broke open. Two pairs of bone claws rose out from two different holes as two new behemoths crawled up out of the ground. Eyeing the two creatures, Yumi smirked and took flight taking the advantage to strike while they were still crawling out of the ground.

Yumi went to the one directly right off her, quickly closing the distance in the gallery space. Raising the axe she brought it down slamming it onto the beasts head without a second thought. The ae struck bone smashing through it and blowing fragments everywhere. The undead creature howled out in pain as its body was split in two under the force. By now the third had pulled itself out of the ground and rushed forward to strike the demoness. Towering over her its two claws came downwards from above.

Snorting, the lolita swung her axe as she spun on her heels. The axe flew through the air and cleaved through the beasts arms slicing its hands off at the wrist. The two bone claws sailed through the air and crashed into the ground, impaling the floor ten meters from them. Lunging forward, her wings expanded and she accelerated. Yumi's right fist came darting around and slammed into the beasts torso. Bone was shattered as the tiny fist tore the beast apart turning it into a third bone pile.

Dusting herself off, Yumi sheathed the giant axe and left to return to the spokesman. Arriving at the small cafe from earlier, Yumi tossed the contract for him and sat down to resume her iced coffee. The spokesman gulped and unrolled the contract. Grabbing a pen he quickly signed the bottom for the quest completion. He screamed and tossed the contract away as it suddenly burst into flames and disappeared. Fishing out a wad of jewel notes from his coat the man handed them over and ran away. He didn't want to spend a second longer with the demoness. Yumi snorted and returned to her drink ignoring everything around her.
