Ace Brookes

The spells clashed, leaving behind a cloud of smoke. The gas mage covered his eyes and the moment the smoke began to clear, he lifted his head once more. This time looking for his opponent as he was nowhere to be seen. To the far left side he heard Vali's voice, shouting out loud that he had to use the bathroom after eating the snake meat. Ace clenched his stomach to see if it was rumbling. Nope, nothing. Surprisingly, the serpent's meat affected the Icebergian but hadn't had a single effect on Ace. At least not yet.

The young mage stood there as the smoke cleared. That was his practice session coming to an end, or so he thought. He could've just practiced solo, but he was intrigued in challenging Vali. Maybe some other time they'd get to meet after they've both expanded their magical knowledge. For some reason, Ace felt like he was fully capable of taking the Fairy Tail mage on. The young boy's magical craft was getting better each day, that was for sure. He had a couple new spells that he was planning and preparing for before he would even be finished with the batch he was currently working on. The thing about his magic was planning was essential. If the spell was to be based off a gas he hasn't wielded before, then he'd have to go off to his 'delirious gases' book and study the gas thoroughly. He was already looking into new combinations of spells. His magic was mainly centered around debuffing his opponents. He found it very helpful since his gases would almost always prove to be harmful when injected into a target's system. Sometimes even traces of certain gases would leave enemies hindered. The was so much power and creativity behind his magic that he was yet to discover.

He sighed out loud and walked to another tree that stood about 10 meters from where him and the seven foot mage were sparring. "This would be a good spot" he thought to himself. Being the picky boy he was, it would usually take him longer to find a spot. Much longer actually, but he was already in a fighting stance. He was too concentrated on his sparring partner's actions, anticipating what his next move would consist of. Without even noticing it, he was in his zone, fully focused and ready for that action.

Right now, the gas mage's only hope was to utilize the spurt of adrenaline he got and to put it to good use by practicing while he still had the energy left to do so. He stopped near the tree and looked around to make sure there was nothing nearby. It was a new spell, so he never knew what could actually end up happening. He concentrated the radon he'd conjured in his body and compressed its particles in a one by one meter area in front of him guided by his right hand. The spell seemed to work pretty fine, but all he had to do next was get something or someone where he can fully put it to the test.
