As some sort of automatic zombie Sorcha had walked back to the inn on the edge of town, closer to the woods, but impossible to reach without going through town. The woods that is, that’s how she first bumped into Khalash and had done some work for him. She took a deep breath as her mind was still not empty from the issue with the spirit world, if that was the right name and she had even forgotten about it for a second, but her amber eyes had looked at the forest before she entered the inn and thought about it again. Meeting Snow and trying to unravel the mystery that had been the vines and roots in town. Now they had at least managed to stop the woods to attack the town and the forest from being destroyed or anything for that matter, she wasn’t sure how much influence she had been but at least it worked and thanks to Snow her power, no one had chopped away anything and the vines, branches and roots had pulled themselves back into the forest. Everything save and sound, a few minor scratches here and there in the town but nothing that couldn’t be fixed. She stood in the hall of the inn, a bit lost, no idea what to do. That’s when her stomach made a sound to give a call that she was hungry. She had not even noticed before and thus she turned to the annex which served as a little cafe where she could get some lunch. The reason why she picked this inn was because they had their own garden where they planted the vegetables from which they made most of their food. It wasn’t all but it was a start that Sorcha could deal with. So she ordered a salad and munched about what she should do now.

The best thing was to find another job, Khalash wasn’t possible as she had closed the store for him, she assumed he would either be busy or away and perhaps with that just both. She waited for her salad before she would go and check out the quest board again today. She had not paid any attention to it very well to know now if there had been jobs that she had wanted to take, so she would just surprise herself a little later with it. She didn’t have to wait long for the salad and ate it quickly and paid with the money Khalash had left her after doing the job. She made sure she got everything and headed back out again to find something else to do albeit to distract her mind a little more. What if the vault in her mind with hidden emotions would explode some day? She wasn’t sure what would happen in that case, she might lose it. She couldn’t have that, perhaps some more training and mediation would be good. She had to pick up a weapon or so if she wanted to train and she had to figure out what kind of weapon.

Making her way through the streets of Magnolia to find another job made her very aware that she was looking around for jobs or fliers for jobs around the town. She wasn´t sure if she would find anything apart from at the quest board. But that´s when she saw a note on the door of a cupcake store that asked for deliverers. That was something she could do. Perhaps she needed a map though as she had never paid attention to the street names of Magnolia, but thank god Cupcakes couldn´t get cold and ruin the whole meal. So she walked into the store and waited until the waiter had some time for her and she pointed at the note for delivery people, so she was brought into the kitchen to meet Olly. The owner of the Cupcake store and he was madly backing cupcakes, but while doing that he simply started to talk to her which surprised her a little. She was surprised by his skill, he didn´t miss a heartbeat into continuing to bake the pastries and so on. She simply looked at his hands while her ears listened to what he said and she nodded, which made her quickly realize she should say out loud, that she agreed. “I can do that.” But she needed to make sure that she got a map and so she asked that, just to be sure. She needed to do ten deliveries and she started with four boxes that she could easily carry, she didn’t want to crush them or break them and thus she learned the route out by heart and set out to do the first delivery.

Which went actually quite quick so she came back to pick up the next boxes off four, she challenged herself shortly to take the last two with her but to make sure she wouldn’t ruin it, she decided it that it didn’t hurt to walk another time and thus she again learned the route by heart on the map with the waiter and delivered the boxes to every address and returned for the last two. When she got back, she proudly told the cashier that she had delivered everything to the right address and that everyone seemed to be happy and pleased with the cupcakes. The waiter from before told her that Olly was busy and that the cashier would pay her out. So she received the reward and thanked them. She decided to buy a cupcake herself, it would be weird to never have one after such a job and she discussed shortly which one were the favourites of the two in the store. Which was a fun conversation and she learned a bit of more respect for humans as she had seen Olly work hard and the two here as well to help him and the store. She appreciated that and bought two, the favourite flavour of each one, and with that left the store to go relax in the forest for a while.
