After having been disappointed by the lack of power shown by the group of dissenters he had killed the other day, Chad was looking for more interesting missions to take that might lead him to a more fun confrontation. Like had the night before, Chad left the pub after having gotten most of the other clientele drunk enough to pass out before he made his way out into the night. He had gotten word earlier in the day that he was supposed to crack down on more dissenters that had been tearing down fliers and such. The person who had given him the message had said something about it being related to hereticism, but Chad held great disdain for fanatics who used such terms. Chad didn’t really care if the people were trying to summon a demon or something, but what he did care about was finding something interesting to indulge himself in that night. Before leaving the pub he had made sure that his outfit was in good condition, as he liked to look good whenever he could. It was hard for him not to look good of course, but that's besides the point.

He was wearing a simple black monks robe tied at the waist with a sash. He was also wearing some buddhist prayer beads around his neck, while also carrying a few in his hands. Unlike the day before, Chad wasn’t actually expecting there to be anyone tough to fight this time, as he was just supposed to catch what is probably some low level goons and get rid of them. Big shots wouldn't be running around tearing down fliers of course, but Chad didn’t mind that much. The request would probably get him enough money to go enjoy himself at the pub again for another few days, so he was willing go out and do some dirty work. Given that he had just finished enjoying himself at the pub and that he had now cleaned his robes, Chad decided that it was time to get to work. He put on a large black cloak over his already black monk robe while nobody was really around. He then proceeded to go wandering around the alleyways and streets until he saw people who were messing around with fliers and such.

Chad made sure not to draw any attention to himself as he slipped around the streets looking for his targets. The place was pretty eerie since there were no people walking around the streets except for him, though it would definitely make it a lot easier for him to catch the culprits if they were the only ones around. He continued walking around the streets for a time without any signs of tomfoolery. The streets were made of inlaid bricks and the night had a sort of misty quality to it that made it difficult to see any further than a few meters. After walking around for awhile he eventually found the people he was looking for.

Through the mist he saw two cloaked figures running up to nearby fliers on a wall and tearing them down. Having noticed this, Chad began to move as fast as he could towards the two figures, at least hoping they would be able to put up a decent fight of some sort. The two were apparently able to tell he was there relatively quickly, and they proceeded to run away through the mist. Chad was able to track them perfectly fine as he was keeping a good pace behind them as they weaved through alleyways and such. They did not seem to be very well trained though as they quickly ran out of stamina and ran themselves into a corner. Having cornered them, the two individuals took off their cloaks. Both of them were young men, with one of them having brown hair and brown eyes, and the other one having black hair and blue eyes. They seemed a bit too young to be getting into this type of work but Chad didn’t really have any qualms with putting them down if he had to. Before he had a chance to attack them, one of them told him, “"Do you know what is scarier than the monsters who hides in the light and shows its teeth in the dark? The monster who does not hide in the light but hides its teeth behind a smile." Chad thought the statement was cliche and meaningless, so he proceeded to move full speed towards the boys.

They attempted to resist him of course, the brown haired one throwing a wound up haymaker towards Chad’s face, while the black haired one tried to tackle his legs. It was an interesting attempt to stop him to be sure, but mediocre methods like that meant little to a trained monk like Chad. To prevent the haymaker from harming him he simply stepped out the way, and proceeded to throw a thrust kick into the face of the boy attempting to tackle him. The blow broke the boy’s nose and sent him sputtering into the floor, while the boy who attempted to throw a haymaker began to lose his balance. Taking advantage of this situation, Chad began to pummel the boy until his consciousness was about to lapse. The two boys were pretty much out for the count at this point, but they still had some semblance of resistance remaining. The one who had been sent sputtering to the ground still had a bit of conviction in him, as he rose to try and face Chad in combat. The effort was futile of course as Chad pummeled him the same way had the boy before.

Before they fell unconscious and died, they muttered some nonsensical rambling under their breath, which Chad didn’t deem as necessary to listen to or remember. He hid the bodies of the boys in some random alleyway to make the discovery of them take longer. He then disappeared into the misty night to go collect his payment.
