Rishi Namatzu

Rishi had been in the town of Oak today, and she had already been doing a quest. She had kind of hoped that she would give herself a break, but it seemed she just couldn't let herself do so. Of course, she would have to go out and do a quest the first few days of her arrival instead of going to go explore the city more than she had done before. There was always more to be discovered, and it seemed that Rishi's mind had been so reserved that she didn't even care. There was nothing that she really wanted to explore, and there was nothing that she really wanted to do, besides getting money to live. Well technically she couldn't die since she was a vampire, but still, she needed human food too, and she couldn't get that food without money.

Today she was doing an odd job, and it was something she had expected, coming from Oak town. There were so many bad people around, and she had assumed that most of the good people would be oddballs, people that weren't too great at doing odd things themselves. That's what Rishi was there for though, and that was what she gets paid for. She kind of liked doing these odd jobs too, as she didn't have to do too much work and she would get paid for what she did, which was good on her end. Her getting paid for her little deeds kept her fed and happy, and she liked that about the jobs that she took. Of course some of them weren't as nice, but still, she got paid for her small jobs, so really there was nothing to complain about.

She was going down to Castle Phantasm today, and she was to be helping the Lord of the castle with some type of ceremony. She couldn't remember exactly what it was, as when she was looking at the paper she really didn't care, and she was tired when she was reading it, which made it that much worse. She should probably pay more attention when she was reading the description of a job, so that way she knew exactly what she was doing. She walked up the stone pathway that led up to a gate, which had a man waiting in front of it. She could see the castle in the distance, but the only thing that came into focus when she looked around was the man who had been waiting in front of the gate, and she had assumed this was the Lord of the castle that she was coming to meet. He looked quite odd she could admit that, but there was something about him that made him look... normal. She looked at him again, observing his facial features and things of the sort, and just couldn't figure out what made him look different yet the same. She walked up to the man and had explained to him who she was, and then the job began.

Rishi had kind of expected this job to be a little weird, but not as weird as the job was in reality. She was required to go into a dark dungeon and get some flowers that were left down there for his late wife. Rishi sort of wanted to back out of the job, and only because it involved her going into the dark dungeon. She really was in no mood to go into the dark, as her mind had already been there for a while now and she didn't want her physical body in the dark too. She was hesitant at first before she stepped into the dungeon and walked down the stairs, slowly getting darker as she went.

Soon enough she was in complete darkness, not being able to see her own hands. It was kind of scary, but then she thought about that one saying that went something like "The faster you do it, the faster you get it over with." she wasn't sure if that was exactly how it went, but she did know that it was pretty close. She put her feet on the ground making sure that there were no more stair steps so that she wouldn't fall. It was pitch black, and her hands were feeling around everywhere, looking for the flowers that she had been sent down there to get. There were a few different textures that she was feeling, some of them were quite squishy, and some of them felt like piles of crumbs. It was quite creepy, and it took her a few tries at grabbing random things before she finally found the flowers. She put the flowers in one hand and searched for the stairs with the other, trying not to crash into anything. She assumed this place meant a lot to the Lord, so she really didn't want to mess anything up. Just then she remembered her fire magic and lit her finger up, lighting up the room. She could now see the stairs, and she slowly walked up the stairs backward, still examining the room as she went up. It was a gloomy room, and Rishi couldn't believe she had gone down there in the dark... alone. It was very brave of her to go down there by herself in the dark, and it's not something she would normally choose to do.

She came back out to see the strong light of the sun, beaming in her eyes. It had burned at first, but she had adjusted to it soon after and handed the Lord his flowers, tears now running down his face. The flowers made him very emotional. She could sort of understand what he was feeling, and she felt a little sympathetic. He had thanked her for her services and gave her the money she was owed, and Rishi and her companion left the castle, ready to go home and get some rest. Today was weird, and possibly tomorrow could be different than today was.
