Jeremiah Ali

8:47 AM

Jeremiah didn't waste any time in getting to Phantom Lord. After the war ended last night, he immediately came home to sleep so that he could come to the guild in the morning.

Barunz pushed open the doors to Phantom Lord guild hall as Jeremiah stepped through. His eyes now longer frowning like they usually did, instead he seemed calmed. Miah's new companion let go of the door, allowing it to close as he stood a little behind his master. The Phantom had to accept the fact that Barunz was his new partner, the creature wouldn't leave him alone no matter where he went it was kinda weird. There were questions that remained unanswered, mainly because the two were having a hard time communicating. One thing he did know, however, was that Barunz was from Savannah and his purpose was to serve Jeremiah. The creature carried Jeremiah's blade on his back while his mask remained underneath his Kimono, resting safely on his hip. His battle gear was getting pretty annoying to wear. A Kimono was so much more comfortable, his balls actually had a lot of space to breath.

The mages of Phantom Lord stood upon seeing him enter, cheering when it was clear that one of their guild mates made it back from the war alive. Where was Shura? The temporary guild commander was nowhere to be found in the time Miah's eyes darted around the guild hall. Jeremiah wasn't used to people actually happy to see him or happy for him period. He responded with a nod and a light smile - nothing too obvious but enough to thank them. The Savannian lifted his hand, hushing his guild mates for a moment to speak. It only took a few seconds for them to get the message and waited for their comrade to speak. Many looked at him oddly probably noticing that he was slightly different; less angry. He didn't know how the guild would react to what he was about to tell them but he was sure that it wouldn't be positive.

"The Grimoire Shits won the war, and their Guild Master has been crowned the new King of Fiore."

#2Tecka Majora

Update [Phantom Lord] Empty Tue Feb 20, 2018 4:09 am

Tecka Majora
"This is my life now...Ahhh crap."

Just as he was polishing off another drink at one of the counters in the bar, Tecka had begun to think. His recent drinking habits weren't very good for his growth, if he was ever going to grow...and he couldn't blame anyone. Although if he really wanted to point fingers it was his guild's fault. "Readily available alcohol, pshh." He scoffed. "Free drinks shouldn't exist, cause then we won't have any -hic- alcohol for tomorrow."

The young man wasn't inebriated, just riding a nice buzz through the morning till afternoon at least. Then he'd figured to go out and look for some work. It was the only thing beside drinking that kept him occupied for the moment, and a much preferable alternative. He couldn't just go around starting fights with everyone, not when his ego was as large as it gets. It was considerably worse when he realized this fact himself. Just as he lowered his glass, feeling warm inside, and a little light headed he heard the guild door open. It hadn't bothered him as much to look towards who it was at first, as most people usually make for the bar once they enter but this time around it was different. Following his entrance, the guild members throughout the entire hall had stood and cheered for the man. It was in fact so loud and sudden, Tecka had to catch himself- almost falling off of his stool.

In following suit, he'd given a slightly off pitched hooray after the roars had died down. "Yaaaaaaaay!" Though boastful in sharing his new guild mates joys, it was clear that they were awaiting a reply from the individual who had walked in when he was quickly hushed by another phantom lord member, resting towards the back of the bar. Now, Tecka was interested- turning his head to see the golden brown skinned man walk in he mumbled to himself "Now, he looks strong, aha."

The man, then spoke of grimoire, presumably grimoire heart, and their guild master being the new king of fiore. Tecka swiftly recognized the name as he received sort of an update from bodak as he recalled, some of the guild members were away to fight against grimoire heart but, "I'd only known of the Shura man bodak had spoken of that was away to fight, unless this is him.." He wouldn't know either way, but it was only told to him through word of mouth about the strength the stranger had possessed. This kept the young man far more interested than his usual obsession with people's power.

The black haired young man stood from his stool, trying his hardest to stay upright while he'd spoke. "The king of fiore?!" He started while questioning aloud. It was only in moments of drunken stupor that he could muster the strength for something as dumb, yet uplifting as this. This too was a strength. "Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm not going. He thinks he'll rule us, HE'LL HAVE TO THINK TWICE BEFORE MESSING WITH PHANTOM LOOOORRDD!!" His yell echoed through the guild for a moment of brief silence. Most of the members throughout were shocked, because for the few days he'd been apart of the guild, he'd said little to nothing. Unbeknownst to them Tecka was actually capable of speaking more than a few words at a time, even if noticeably tipsy. A loud roar of mutual feelings and agreement arose from most of the guild's members, some yelling and laughing at the unexpected outburst from the short man, but most in support of his words.

Tecka looked towards the long dark haired man, who had just entered the hall moments prior. Strangely enough, Tecka had a smile on his face upon seeing the guy. His hair was long, other than that, he resembled someone Tecka used to know but the memory of them- it was all too blurry. What struck him most familiar though was his height, sunbathed skin color, and the lightning struck golden amber eyes. Though unsure who the man was, he would walk towards him, hand extended in earnest to shakeup, before speaking to the kimono wearing man, "Let's start a revolution!" Though naive and childish as it sounded to some, to others who hated order in any form it was hope, to those without a purpose it was drive, and for everyone who sought out a place to belong, a common goal.

The vampyress felt great to be back. The ambience of the Phantom Lord guild gave her warmth and a feeling of protection. She felt safe and happy here, at her home. There were a lot of new members she had heard about from Bodak. That wasn’t all that she had heard about. Two of the phantoms were out at war against the Grimoire Heart. She wondered why they had agreed to be involved in this fight. Joan wasn’t the biggest fan of the former ruler, but of course she had yet to see if the current one would live up to his claims. The only reason that made her blood boil after hearing the news was because the man who had killed Cesare had just become king.

As the news was delivered to the guild by Jeremiah, one of the two who had gone to war, a lot of noise was made by the other guild members. Joan was probably the only one who stayed silent as she was watching, her fingers tightly gripping her glass of lime juice. She was thinking of how to handle this situation, when another guild member she had met the other day at a bar spoke up, rather loudly. He spoke of the new king messing with Phantom Lord, which made her frown just a bit. Bringing the glass to her lips she took a huge gulp out of it and banged it on the table she was sitting at. Joan shot a look at both Tecka and Jeremiah, hoping to catch their attention. She was never one to be loud and chaotic. She was always calm and calculating. This probably contradicted the manners of a lot of her guildmates, but she had practised keeping control of her temper. Even if she was raging inside, she would never show it. But if she needed her voice to be heard, she would make sure that happened.

In case the two members noticed her, she would invite them to sit at her table for a talk.

The Phantoms all cursed loudly in unison, angered about the new information they had received. The war was a moment to remember - mainly because of all the destruction - and none of it was because of him. Barunz watched beside his master with his arms crossed not once wincing at the loudness of the building he was in. In the middle of his peers expressing themselves, a black haired man stood before saying speaking, catching the attention of everyone in the guild. As usual Jeremiah raised an eyebrow in response. This dude was funny and only after his words of encouragement would the brown man realize that. The young Savannian smirked. Seeing such raw energy always made his blood boil, it reminded him of how he felt on the inside. In a way this short man was his spirit animal.

Once the man said his words the guild went berserk, this time cheering and smiling. What a power to have; to be able to influence people by just being yourself - a power Jeremiah lacked simply because he didn't care much about anyone.

Only seconds into the noise the funny man would make his way over towards Jeremiah, approaching him quickly and extending his hand for Miah to shake. Barunz the Guardian Dardian, stepped towards the man but didn't have time to move further as Jeremiah halted him with his left hand. With the right, the teenager gripped his black haired peer's hand. It all made sense now, his breath...it was marinated in pure alcohol. Another underage drinker, what was the world coming to?

Hm.

A revolution, eh? Ironically that was something Jeremiah was already trying to do himself but not against the king. In fact, Jeremiah liked the route in which Arthur wanted to go but he knew that his guild mates wouldn't so if it came down to it, he'd have to ride with his guild to fight Arthur. Jeremiah's revolt was aimed at the council, no longer was he going to target Rune Knights unless he absolutely had to. The council was his real enemy.

"I'm way ahead of you." He said with a smirk. Just then a loud bang echoed through the hall from the far corner of the hall. It caught the attention of not only Jeremiah, but the rest of the guild members as well. There, a woman sat alone seemingly smothered in her almost magical beauty. Looking around, it was easy to tell that the rest of the members knew not to test her considering it was then that they all continued doing what they were doing before Jeremiah arrived, but who was she? The Savannian looked at the woman nonchalantly before she gestured for him and the Phantom beside him to come.

The closer Jeremiah got to her, the stronger and more daunting her presence seemed to get. Of course he wasn't scared, but he could tell off the bat that she was naturally stronger than him and it made him slightly uncomfortable.

"And you are?" Still standing, he was only a few meters in front of he woman, Barunz arms crossed to the left of him.

"W-we're walking now? Aha, Alright."

A complaisant tone had overtaken the young man as he'd begun to follow his new found ally and the red beast-monster that seemed to be the man's protector of some sort. The taller of the two men leading, while the trio approached the woman who had been sipping by her lonesome in the far corner of the guildhall. Tecka hadn't noticed her being there, or he had at one point and then forgot over the course of drinking himself dumb. Either way, she was present and especially made herself known with the tap of her glass.

Once they had arrived to the woman's table, Tecka's inebriation caused- beer lenses had been easier to ignore, as her real face up close seemed awfully familiar. Just as the taller man asked about who the woman was, Tecka stepped in to speak. "She is, a recent friend. A good friend of mine." The short black haired young man blurted out. Though he had already known who the woman was, he hadn't wanted to be rude and take her spotlight and introduction away from her, especially since he had recalled how she paid for the young man's drinks the evening they'd met. Besides, there were questions he wanted answered as well. "You must be Shura, right?" he questioned looking towards the taller man.

"I'm Tecka, a new Phantom. I've heard a lot about you, mainly about how strong you are. Is it true? Could I see a display of this strength? Perhaps sometime we could fight?" Although, not one hundred percent positive of who the man was, he had a look of experience and an ember dyed beast in his party. It didn't get much cooler than that.

Calming his excitement down, Tecka looked away from the group of individuals in slight embarrassment, forgetting that as usual they were only present to conduce some type of business. Rolling his head back towards the group, he would pay attention rather than talk, if not to save some time but to also keep from driving the group insane.

Joan seemed to have caught the attention of the two guildmates. She knew who both of them were, and she had some questions for the both of them. Jeremiah asked who Joan was, which Tecka answered for her. The vampyress took a sip of her juice and nodded. “I’m Joan,” she added, since Tecka didn’t mention her name. Before the sorceress could speak, Tecka cut in again, asking if the male was Shura. She allowed him to speak some more before it was her turn to cut in.

“No he’s not. He’s Jeremiah,” she said, and then turned to the slayer. “Where’s Shura?” There was her question for Jeremiah. “Is he dead?” She was worried, only because he was a guildmate. If Shura was killed by one of those Grimoire Heart members, that’d really piss Joan off.

She had another question in her head when Tecka announced that they should start a revolution. “What makes you think a revolution could solve anything, Tecka?” The vampyress spoke in a calm manner. She was actually curious to know what Tecka was thinking.

Jeremiah looked over at Tecka as he spoke, stating that he woman before them was a friend of his. "Oh?" The odd black haired man (or boy) seemed o be rather excited, it was probably just the alcohol Miah assumed. Barunz stood beside his master with his arms crossed, watching the three of them engage in a conversation. The woman added in her name, stating that it was Joan. Simple, sweet, and memorable Miah nodded lightly as his brain absorbed the information. The Savannian turned to look at the shorter Phantom as he asked about who he was. Apparently he thought he was Shura and even complimented him n behalf of thinking so. Since the woman answered for him, there was no need for him to respond though she slightly annoyed him. Who the hell was this savvy lady anyway and how the hell did she know his name? There always seemed to be Phantoms popping up everywhere, but Jeremiah had a good picture of most of them and never has he seen this woman despite her strength. Obviously she was a Phantom Lord guild member so why hadn't he heard of her? The boy-man introduced himself as Tecka a new Phantom which would explain why Jeremiah hadn't seen him either.

"You heard her, I'm not Shura but  I'm just as strong, so we can arrange a fight." He said with a smirk towards Tecka. Shura was currently the strongest active mage in Phantom Lord but Jeremiah would be stronger than him soon enough. The Phantom turned back towards Joan as she then asked where Shura was and if he was alive. His face dimmed down to it's usual nonchalant expression before he gave an answer. "I don't know but he's not one to die so easily. The Knights and the allied forces failed to protect their king and last I remember Shura was going to defend him. Perhaps he did die." Codly his words rolled off his tongue, as if he hadn't a care in the world about Shura or anything he spoke about for that matter.

"It won't solve anything, the Guild master is dead." The savannian interfered before Tecka responded.

Oh.

The blank statement rung through Teckas mind upon hearing that he'd mistaken the tall golden browned skin man for someone else. Apparently his name is jeremiah, and just as tecka was about to begin to frown, the man's claims of being just as strong raised his brow, while the offer of arranging a fight brought a slight smile to tecka's face. Upon hearing both of their replies, Tecka spoke in earnest, "I didnt know we had other things that needed solving." Pausing, he raised his arms with a shrug of his shoulders to imply that there wasnt an excuse he could give for why he wanted to start the revolution, but rather decided to tell the truth of the matter "I just want to get a fight started." He hadn't thought too much over those who wanted to avoid a fight and remain peaceful because he'd known that such a thing was impossible for the human species.

His sole reasoning was to get to fight the people who managed to overthrow an entire kingdom. "This grimoire heart group, they've got to be strong." Tecka repeated his earlier motion, before continuing. "So, are there any other ideas? I mean, besides a revolution we could aim to prepare in case a fight ensues." A revolution was always a work of art on paper but sometimes it's the plans that forego it, the minor yet subtle changes that create a devastating cause and effect, those are what determined whether the work of art was a masterpiece. Looking towards jeremiah, he continued "maybe we should encourage others to take time off for themselves in between large assignments." His words at first sounding as if he was truly concerned for jeremiah's condition after possible combat, and to an exent he was "I have heard that sparring is a good way to safely recover and not lose any combat experience during recovery."

Joan listened to the two males speak, letting them both finish what they were saying while she took some time to think about matters. Jeremiah was right. Joan had worked together with Shura helping Grimoire Heart with their mission once. Both of them suffered fatal injuries but survived after a long period of recovery. She couldn’t guess how intense the battle at Crocus was, but she had a feeling Shura definitely made it out alive. But why hadn’t he shown up at the guild?

“You’re right. The guildmaster is dead. Cesare was killed by Grimoire Heart, Geb was killed...by a heart attack. However, Grimoire Heart was always strong. They were waiting for the right time to strike, and now they have succeeded. Arthurias is stronger than all of us combined. Why do you think the Council couldn’t stop him? They probably couldn’t even attempt it.”

The vampyress inhaled sharply. Her expression displayed how serious she was about what she was saying. “I’m taking charge of the guild from this point and for as long as I’m capable. We need to get much stronger to even be able to think of starting a revolution against the current government.” Joan stood up from the table after finishing her lime juice. Hopefully the two of them understood what she meant by what she said. They needed a lot of training, and so did she. “I’ll see you again after my travels,” she said before taking her leave.

Jeremiah's eyes slightly widened as he looked away embarrassingly. This was supposed to be a deep Phantom Lord moment...unbelievable. Tecka had absolutely no deep reason for wanting to start a revolution...all he wanted... was a fight. Jeremiah couldn't help but frown. Was this guy serious? Here he was; fresh home from war in which he took the lives of more people than he could count on his fingers and this guy thought this was a game?

He makes the perfect Phantom,
that's for sure.
Jeremiah thought. The conversation went on though, Tecka stating what he heard about Grimoire Heart. The rumors were true, even with only a few active members they were the strongest guild in Fiore so it was a good thing they no longer existed. The black haired Phantom suggested that they prepare in the meantime, even going on to suggest a break for members who take more advanced assignments. The Savannian's eyes met with Tecka, eyebrow raised as he waited to hear his conclusion.

Fighting. Of course that was his solution. This guy was itching for to get beat up it seemed. "Heh." He smirked.

Joan spoke, agreeing with the sorcerer but overall saying nothing. She spoke as if it was hard to tell how strong Arthur was. What rubbed him the wrong way though was how easily she had asserted her dominance. This lady had a lot to prove to Jeremiah if she thought he'd just follow her blindly. Phantom Lord as a whole probably valued strength above all else, but he refused to follow a person who did nothing with their strength. Yeah...maybe after her travels she'd prove herself.  As the woman walked off Miah turned to Tecka with confident smirk.

"If you really wanna train, meet me at the haunted Lands tonight, newbie."

"I've no problems with this."

As the black haired woman got up to make her exit, Tecka would reply in a low tone although her sudden leave for travel emphasized the importance of her decision and placement within the guild. Soon after Jeremiah would look to Tecka, with a small smile telling him to meet at the Haunted Lands later tonight, before leaving himself. Standing there with no drink, his buzz quickly fleeing and common sense returning to his mind he'd taken a minute to stand there attempting to comprehend what had just occured.

"Alright, i'll be there." The black haired young man spoke to himself in confidence, though unsure exactly how to get to the Haunted Grounds. "No matter, i'll just find my own way over there." He finished. Tecka returned to his spot at the bar where he had been sitting earlier, as he didnt have anywhere else to go and truthfully hadnt wanted to go anywhere else. Things were getting fun, and it couldnt be stopped just yet.

Sitting back at the bar stool, the young man raised his glass again drinking in large gulps the once strong alcohol now watered down by the melted ice. "Great." It was as if fate was telling him something. With that, Tecka decided to get an early start instead, leaving the guild hall to search around for the haunted lands. There was nothing more exciting than a promised fight, and it seemed like Jeremiah was a man true to his word to have remained in phantom lord for as long as he has. "How long has he been around?" Tecka wondered as he descended the hill and steps out front of the guild hall's entrance. "Regardless, i can see the appeal already." Strong guild mates, and dynamic moves being made. Reminiscent to a game of chess..
