Savannah Knight

Personal

Name: Savannah Knight

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Asexual

Class: Sorcerer

Rank: D-rank

Guild: Fairy Tail

Tattoo: A red Fairy Tail mark on her right upper-hip

Face: Jrpg heroine creator: Thief - RinmaruGames

Appearance

Height: 5’10

Weight: 133lb

Hair: Mostly bloody-red to light blue.

Eyes: Chocolate Brown

Overall: Only 18 years old Savannah’s has chocolate brown downturn eyes underneath a pair of soft-arched eyebrows. Her eyes are almost always not completely open, and with bags under her eyes you can tell she doesn’t get enough sleep. But her eyes hold the spark of determination, warmth, and compassion, but a hint of sorrow. Savannah’s voice is quiet and rarely gets loud, or rather because she rarely yells she can’t get loud, and it can sound a bit cheeky.

Savannah has a skinny-fatted hourglass body with low muscle and medium fat, her skin is very soft although her hands are a bit rough. Her shoulders are low proportionally to her body, possibly due to her double-jointed shoulders and elbows, pulling her body in a light slouch. Her face is oval-shaped and slightly sharp around her cheeks, the skin a light ivory color showing her preference away from sunny areas. On either side of her face is a pair of shallow free lobed ears with a narrow notch that will often twitch, either she does it for show or toward noise(remember that this does not help in Rp proposes as of yet).

She has a belief that make-up isn’t good and perfume hideous, although that could be due to her sensitivity to the smell of any perfume, thus never wears any beauty products. She keeps a kempt appearance that is not really noticed, in that she always has her nails cut, hair brushed, etcetera. But ironically Savannah doesn’t shave her legs or arms. The reason being that she despises that feeling air sometimes makes against her bare skin.

Savannah’s hair is a light bloody red, smooth in the front and top while wild at her neck. Of note her hair is a calming sea-blue that goes from behind her ears to the end of her hair. The hair is soft and a bit wispy, but after a shower it will puff up and be really soft. She has a slight widows peak that marks where her hair parts; from strait to slightly wavy. Savannah’s mouth is thin and relaxed, usually in a slight smirk or a slight frown, never too much of one thing.

She is commonly seen wearing a smooth dark-red shirt with a rusty brown knee-length jacket. Holding up her dark-blue bell-bottom pants is a standard brown leather belt with a pair of medium bags on either side. She holds a high standard of comfortability over style so all of her clothing is made of soft fabrics. Her jacket is slightly rugged at the ends and has a wide triangular collar with a tiny matching triangle underneath.

Extra: A strawberry-shaped birthmark above her butt.

Personality

Personality:  Savannah’s love to spot discrepancies between statements could almost be described as a hobby, making it a bad idea to lie to her. This makes it ironic that Savannah tends to share thoughts that are not fully developed, using others as a sounding board for ideas and theories in a debate against herself rather than as actual conversation partners. This may make her appear unreliable, but in reality Savannah just isn’t interested in practical, day-to-day activities and maintenance, but when she find an environment where her creative genius and potential can be expressed, there is no limit to the time and energy Savannah will expend in developing an insightful and unbiased solution but Savannah remains so open to new information that she often never commits to a decision at all.

She may appear to drift about in an unending daydream, but Savannah’ thought process is unceasing, and her minds buzz with ideas from the moment she wake up. This constant thinking can have the effect of making her look pensive and detached, as she is often conducting full-fledged debates in her own heads, but really Savannah is quite relaxed and friendly when she is with people she knows, or who share her interests. However, this can be replaced by overwhelming shyness when Savannah is among unfamiliar faces, and friendly banter can quickly become combative if she believe her logical conclusions or theories is being criticized.

When a new idea piques her interest, Savannah can be very enthusiastic – she is a reserved person, but if another person shares an interest, she can be downright excited about discussing it. More likely though the only outward evidence of this enthusiasm will be Savannah’s silent pacing or her staring into the distance. Oftentimes, Savannah will opt to simply move on from a topic before it’s ever understood what she were trying to say, rather than try to lay things out in plain terms.

The reverse can also be true when people explain their thought processes too Savannah in terms of subjectivity and feeling. Further, Savannah is unlikely to understand emotional complaints at all and rather make a series of logical suggestions for how to resolve the underlying issue, a perspective that is not always welcomed by her more sensitive companions. Savannah couldn’t make these connections though if she thought she knew it all – she is highly receptive to alternate theories, as long as their supported by logic and facts. In more subjective matters like social norms and traditions, Savannah is usually fairly liberal, with a “none of my business” sort of attitude – peoples’ ideas are what matter. These connections is the product of an unrelenting imagination – Savannah’s ideas may seem counter-intuitive at a glance, and may never even see the light of day, but she will always prove remarkable innovations.

This applies to her own skills as well – Savannah knows that as she practices, she improves, and any work she do is second-best to what she could do. Unable to settle for this, Savannah sometimes delay her output indefinitely with constant revisions, sometimes even quitting before she ever begin. However when Savannah’s interest is captured, her absence goes beyond social matters to include the rest of the physical world. Savannah becomes forgetful, missing even the obvious if it’s unrelated to their current infatuation, and she can even forget her own health, skipping meals and sleep as she muse.

Savannah views the world as a big, complex machine, and recognizes that as with any machine, all parts are interrelated. Savannah excels in analyzing these connections, seeing how seemingly unrelated factors tie in with each other in ways that bewilder most other people. But while Savannah’s intellectualism yields many insights into her surroundings, her surroundings are ironically considered an intrusion on her thoughts. This is especially true with people – Savannah is quite shy in social settings.

Savannah’s analysis, creativity and open-mindedness aren’t the tools of some quest for ideology or emotional validation. Rather, it’s as though Savannah is a conduit for the truths around her, so far as she can be expressed, and she takes pride in her knowledge and rationale, and enjoy sharing her ideas, but in trying to explain how she got from A to B to Z, she can get frustrated, sometimes simplifying things to the point of insult as she struggles to gauge her conversation partners’ perspective. The ultimate insult comes as Savannah gives up with a dismissive “never mind”.

Attempts at connecting with others are often worse than Savannah’s withdrawal. These social struggles is partly a product of Savannah’s desire to bypass the rules, of social conduct and otherwise. While this attitude helps Savannah’s strength of unconventional creativity, it also causes her to reinvent the wheel constantly and to shun security in favor of autonomy in ways that can compromise both. Savannah is a fun-loving, free-spirited, energetic, sensitive, optimistic being, and childlike at the core.

Likes:

  • Horses: Savannah has adored horses since she was little. Always loving the pure beauty and strength that they posses. At the heart she does not understand her love for these magnificent creatures, just that she does.
  • Music: Without music she would have gone mad, from Rock to Orchestra she will listen to anything that catches her attention. Even at some point she learned to play a few instruments of her own.
  • Reading: To lose herself in a fantasy or immerse herself in knowledge Savannah loves to read. The common books she reads are mystery/fantasy books, maybe a yaoi and/or fanfiction.

Dislikes:

  • Make-Up: She doesn’t like it enough said.
  • Rap: Savannah Despises this thing
  • Certain people: Loud, rude, and obnoxious these people Savannah can’t stand being near. Whether it’s the stupid comments or actions, a trait, or she just can’t stand them Savannah hates these people.

Motivations:

  • Home: People say home is where the heart is and Savannah wants a person to give her heart to and be her home.

Fears:

  • Boredom: To not stimulate her mind leads to lack of though which leads to boredom. Boredom, in her mind, is the stem of mindlessness. Thus she always needs something.
  • Jump-scares: Savannah is not really afraid of things, but if it appears out of nowhere she will jump in fear.

Magic Name: Ice-Make

The ice also can be used as wound dressing and preventing the swelling of an injury(*RP Purposes*). She uses her spells through her hands either through a punch, a wave, or touching a surface. History

History: Savannah Knight was born Savannah Saddlewood within Orchidia Town. Her family was a simple group of farmers and a few mages. She her self was aspiring to learn the sciences, as she was one of the ones with no magic. She was known to dance till she became 10 preferring to stay inside and read. Savannah later was forced to move into Ishtar for learning reasons.

Then one day she came across a swinging chain stuck on one of the branches, climbing up she carefully took it off. Flipping it around Savannah noticed that connected to the chain, via a Fabergé egg crown, was a black circle-like a pocket watch with a red border. And in the center a small white circle with a shining black Cobra inside, twisting around the circle were similar colored black vines. Inside though was rather plain with a smooth sunset yellow-orange, depending in which way you looked at it, background. And in a forte font were the words knight.

As Savannah studied the item she heard and odd shuffling noise. Brushing it off as an animal she pocketed the watch and continued to the library to see if she can get that darn mage’s puzzles, so Savannah can get inside. As she walked the noise got louder and just before she turned around arms jumped out and closed around her before pulling her back into the bush they came from.

She twisted and struggled before she was knocked on the head and everything went black. As she opened her eyes everything was blurry, and her eyes kept shutting. Once she got her eyes open though the first thing she noticed was the oddly dressed man in black in white clothing and dusty red hair in front of her, next she noticed that ropes restricted her arms from going out and her hand trapped in a cold and smooth thing that made little jingles when she pulled at them.

Lastly her ankles were stuck to each respective left and right front legs of the wooden chair. Savannah glared at the man in front of her even though nothing covered her mouth. “Common now, speak, no need to glare.” Came the gruff voice of the man that while friendly at first hearing had a slight urgency and maliciousness underneath. Savannah continued to glare and decided to frown as well. The man sighed before he continued, “My name isn’t important and honestly neither is yours…” Savannah just rolled her eyes the man sounded a bit angrier, “All I need is that watch you have.”

Savannah had a blank look on her face, like hell she is telling him she wanted to know what was important about the watch! Especially if the man is so interested. Slap! Savannah’s head snapped to the side at the force of the mans slap, her eyes held surprise, but her face remained neutral. Savannah straitened and looked forward, keeping silent mainly to piss off the man a bit more and hopefully have him release some info.

Staying behind the young girl, 12 at most 13 at best, the man – known as Aard to some – scratched at his chin, how does he get the child to talk? His eye twitch when she just looked forward with that accursed neutral face still there, he rather have her be frowning, although the surprise he caught a glimpse of was satisfying. Aard clutched his hands on her shoulders, noticing the slight frown at that, and leaned forward to her right ear. “You can’t stay silent forever. I will find out where you hid the watch.” Aard leaned up looking forward at his regular, but obviously a leader’s, light brown tent.

Savannah has millions of thoughts running in her head, but the most prominent was That snot-nosed boiled-skinned jerk! I absolutely do not like being touched. The man walked in front of her looking a bit cocky at Savannah. Did he realize her aversion to touch?  Savannah huffed at the man in defiance, and really, she just stuffed the bloody thing in her pocket, unless…it fell out? No, she could still feel the slight impression of a chain against her hip, then she realized that it was not a pocket she stuffed it into as she is wearing a pocket-less stretch pants and a black shirt saying ‘Kitt’ in red. She must have stuffed it in her pants and it got caught on her underwear, talk about a amusing situation.

Aard noticed a realization come upon the girl’s face, she might have a good control of a neutral face, but she is just a child. “So... where is it?” The girl just stuck out her tongue. Once again, a slap rang out. “Talk already before I starve you!” Aard didn't really want to do that, she’s just a child, but he needs that item for it leads to… “No” came the small voice of the girl.

“What.” Gritted out Aard. “I said no. Why is the watch so important that you would threaten a child anyways?” The expectant look Savannah gave him made his heart clutch on itself. The adult and child just stared at the other seeing who would give first, the wavering determination of a man going against his morals or a little child persevering till the end for knowledge.
--
Savannah was pulled by a chain attached to a collar around her neck. Aard continued forward toward the stone temple; similar in Aztec design the temple was small, 2 stories at most, with an intricate door of what many would call demons. And only known to Aard via various reading materials - many, many stories down. Walking up to the door he pushed Savannah up to the door and stood behind her with his hands on her shoulders, staring intently at the door.

She looked at the man, but he continued to look at the door and almost sorrowfully lamented, “This is the temple of the Snow and Winter Goddess Chione. And within is what I seek, a long time ago – though not centuries – a group of people discovered this place and the powers within. The powers to bestow people the ability to use Ice Magic and other various technologies. But one of these people, William Knight decided that this would cause great trouble to the balance and thus locked it away. The key, a little pocket watch that he owned.” Savannah looked at the door then looked at the man thoughtfully, “What’s your name mister?” she asked in a quiet voice.

Aard breathed in harshly before speaking up, “Aard Knight.” Savannah thought for a while before asking for her bonds to be removed. “Where does the key go?” She inquisited. Aard pointed at a small hole at the center of the door, walking up Savannah took out the watch and carefully inserted the crown of the watch into the hole, slowly turning it and then pulling it out.

Twisting and turning like a bunch of snakes away, starting from the center and into each corner. Once the door fully opened Savannah turned toward Aard as he breathlessly stared at the open hallway. Soon they both plunged into the seemingly never-ending darkness.
---
Savannah ran toward the campsite with the food from the market in her arms. Walking around the jolly people who greeted her as she walked toward the boss’s tent. Romano, the man who kidnaped her, came up. “Want me to take tha’ food f’r ya’?” Savannah handed the food over to him and thanking him, nice guy.

Walking into the tent she smiled at Aard who was sitting at a desk writing at a few papers. Looking up Aard noticed Savannah and scooped Savannah in his arms despite her squirming. “Ahh Savannah, my dear! What took so long?” Savannah stepped back and Aard pouted, rolling her eyes she explained, “There were a few ingredients I wasn’t familiar with, so it took a lot a’ askin’. You know how I am, and what did I say about the touching.”

Aard just shrugged with a goofy grin on his face. He walked back to his chair behind the desk and Savannah took a seat at the desk. Now 18 and an impressive height of 5’10 she had an easier time at sitting on the desk than in the past where Aard had to lift her up onto it. Speaking of which Aard was currently looking at a few papers some missions, some treaties, etcetera. “Yes, yes, I know, you’re bad at socializing.” He looked up at her even though he is pushing 6’1, sitting down greatly reduces his height.

Savannah reflected on the change they both been through with him becoming her teacher in the ways of ice-make, and their journey through the temple. She mentally shook her head shaking away memories of the temple – she completed her studies, but stayed with Aard and taking on his last name, Knight. Aard himself got more colorful with a white button up, brown pants, and a knee length brown jacket. On his waste was a silver chain connected to Fabergé egg crown that poked from his pocket.

Jumping off Savannah grabbed a brush from a desk next to a bed and handed the brush to Aard. Chuckling in a way that meant he forgot he grabbed the brush and brushed it back into it’s usual brushed back way. Savannah finished it off by tying a small hair band around his hair at his neck. Aard smiled at her and she gave a small smile next. He pulled her close to him and gave a hug, “I’m going to be a while so why don’t you go to bed, m’kay?” Nodding she kissed his cheek and changed into a night gown before heading to bed.
---
Savannah woke up to smoke and fire. Standing up she slipped on a red shirt and dark-blue bell-bottoms. Peaking out she stood horrified, there was many of the camp people fighting a group of strangers and at the center of the fight with the blazing fire behind them was a strange pirate-like man stabbing Aard through the chest. Everything slowed, the fighting stopped, and all witnessed the death of Aard Knight. Next thing she knew was a warm red liquid dripping from her arm, her arm…was impaled through the man’s chest a heart giving its final beats in her hand.

Savannah kicked off the man and kneeled at Aard, taking Aard into her arms as tiny drops fell onto him. Aard reached up and swiped away the tears from her face and breathing out his final goodbye, “Good Knight my…” All that was heard were the falling of the invaders bodies and slight crying. Savannah stood up taking the pocket watch from Aard.

The funeral was silent as all stood before Aard Knight grave. And once Savannah entered the tent she sat on the bed thinking, looking at Aard’s brown jacket that was removed before he was buried. She stood and grabbed the jacket then slid it on, next she grabbed a standard brown leather belt with a pair of medium bags on either side.

Walking out she took a glance at the solemn faces around her and with a voice that was determined, sad, and cracked in some places she addressed everyone, “Aard was…a strong man both physically and mentally…he always smiled and had the right things to say. I can not inspire you like he did. I can only hope my words…bring a sense of peace. Think not disdainfully of death but look on it with favor; for even death is one of the things that Nature wills. Take chances, make mistakes, for even in the worse of messes one can learn! Most if not all of us will walk away thinking of the cruel world and not wanting to risk heartbreak once more. But in this world, there are those who prefer solitude, but there is no one who can withstand it!”

Savannah heaved at the might of which she spoke her words and for a moment all was silent before a great cheer rang out and all pumped their fist in the air. Smiling all went their separate ways; Savannah’s destination, the town of Mongolia.

Hi, welcome to the site! I will be reviewing your character application. Your app is well done and your appearance and personality are really well detailed. But there are a few changes that need to be made.

Overall:

"On either side of her face is a pair of shallow free lobed ears with a narrow notch that will move toward the sound of which she is sensitive to."

Could you please state that the ear-twitch is for aesthetic RP purposes and will not give you any extra sensory advantages etc.

Magic:

  • As a character that is starting out, you are limited to a single element or non-element caster-type magic, other types of magic might be available in the shop.
  • A non-elemental cannot generate other elements, nor can you summon seemingly living beings.

Keeping this in mind could you please rework your magic and also add the type of spells that you can cast as per your class.

History:
Could you please elaborate a little more? Preferably to about 300 words.

Bump this thread when the edits have been made.
