Jeremiah Ali

The doors of the Phantom Lord guild hall flew open as Jeremiah pushed them. He feared nothing. Phantoms were known for their ruthless behavior, being the exact opposite of Fairies but both known for their destructive tendencies, however Phantoms had a reputation. They were known as dangerous and reckless. They weren't given these titles for no reason. With his new sword Samehada on his back, the young Savannian slowly walked into the guild, glancing around the room looking at all those who noticed him. The moment he stepped in the building he could feel all of the dark energy. It was evil mostly, but strong and pure. The brave teenager hadn't cared about how anybody looked at him, he wasn't here for any of them, he was here for himself. Finally standing in the middle of the room he would speak. "Where is your guild master?" Coldly his words rolled easily off of his tongue. Just as he finished speaking he began hearing shouts from the crowd of mages gathered around. "Who the hell are you!?" was the general sense of their questions. Are you ready for this, Jeremiah? Ali frowned. In respinse to the Phoenix he drew forth a bit of his power and began to burn the crest that was just above his pelvis. Just like that he sealed the deal. He was no longer a Fairy at this moment. The small flame burned a hole in his shirt and was visible to some of the members. "Are you trying to attack us,
fool?"

"No. I'm trying to join you."

THE BEGINNING
I WILL TAKE HIS PLACE!

Using her sheathed blade, she parted the crowd of nameless and meaningless mages of the guild. These few people were new to the ranks, and as far as the others figured, they were fodder. They were novices at best and held maybe a spell or two under their belt. They were all pawns in her scheme of things.

She had heard the commotion from the upper floor. She had been conversing with Shura, and it seemed as if he was taking a loss to himself. Whatever set him off balance was something Chi would have to stand in to fill for the time being.

"I won't say it again, MOVE!" She would take her sword and slap the broad end of it against a mage's face, meeting the man face to face. Her eyes would lock with his.

"Clear the quarters." she said, but it was not to the visitor, it was to the natives of the guild. They would mumble under their breath, only to leave the room obediently. Chi was far from being a guild leader, but that didn't stop people from listening to her. She had an aura that was odd compared to others.

She would lift her blade and rest it on her shoulder, tilting her head at the man. "Now, that was a waste." she would tell him, "You could be useful to me at least if you still had the crest, but no matter." She smiled, but she remained her distance from the man. A good half dozen meters from him, just enough to speak to a mysterious visitor.

"We'll get to formalities later. Why are you here and what makes you think we'll take you in anyways?" She would return to her erect posture, standing straight, "Give me a reason to even consider your request."

She stood fearless, and it was for the fire that burned in her heart. With him so close and within her reach, he felt undestructable .

The crest of Fairy Tail guild was gone. All that remained was the hole in his shirt, revealing a portion of his stomach. Samehada rested on his back, wiggling only slightly as Jeremiah stood nonchalantly in the middle of Phantom Lord's hall. He was really doing this. After being in Fairy Tail for so long...he'd never think that Phantom Lord was an option. From beyond the crowd he heard a booming voice. A strong voice that demanded the guild members around Jeremiah make way for her. Who was she? With her words came a smack onto the face of some random dude. He just stood there and took it meanwhile the others actually parted for her to come through. The stern woman didn't do anything to phase Jeremiah not one bit. Her eyes connected with his and yet he remained as if she was nothing in comparison to him.

The lady demanded for the members to clear the room and only with mumbles would they do so. This woman obviously had their respect but she obviously wasn't the guild master. She didn't have the...aura that a guild master had if you will - the daunting presence that many masters had when you approached them but then who was she? Her energy was different though, much different than anyone he's ever met. An eyebrow slightly raised but his eyes never moving from hers.  She seemed to notice that his crest was gone, but she didn't arrive in time to see what guild he came from. Jeremiah wouldn't have cared either way but I guess it made things a little easier. She said that he could have been useful with the crest but what the hell did that even mean?

The young Savannian noticed the distance between him and the woman. A solid twenty feet ensured that she'd be safe if he tried anything. She was smart for taking such precautions, but Miah would only be doing something if she tried anything first. The Phantom woman's position in the guild was unclear, but she obviously had the ability to recruit new members if she was asking him what he had to offer. Jeremiah's golden eyes stared blankly at the woman. "For starters, I'm probably stronger than everyone currently in this building..." He spoke with pure confidence though his words bore no emotion. He wanted this woman to know that there weren't a lot of mages on his level, but in reality if she wouldn't accept him he wouldn't care. "I came to Phantom Lord because I want power for my own personal reasons, and that's all you need to know." Still, he stood. He spoke the truth... he wasn't trying to benefit Phantom Lord in anyway, instead he was trying to have the guild benefit him.

She gave a light laugh. It was all she could really do. She was in position to baby sit mages upon their growth. If a man would come here and sear his flesh as an act of devotion than so be it. It wasn't her place to deny him the opportunity.

Phantom Lord was going to enter a new era. With two bloodlines intertwined, a new network of mages and power would soon rise to the top. Seeing as this man was so quick to throw away his past life, she had little to no interest in his motives. If he wished to use the hall to his benefit, then the name sake of his conquests would be enough to benefit the collective as a whole. Besides, Chi Lau had other matters to focus her attention on.

"I wish I was still as naive as you are now." she spoke without realizing what she had really said. "Well, that's good enough reason for me. The name is Chisu." With her name she'd give a smile, only to give a half turn after. "If you need anything, you best give me your real name so I can add you appropriately to the roster for the man upstairs."

There was always someone stronger than you. There was always someone who knew your weaknesses. You could never be the top of the world. Someone was always just a shade better than you were. It was how life was.

This man had over looked those little facts. But still, Chisu didn't care. It wasn't her business. She was in the game of quantity. Shura would be the one to judge quality.

Ohohoho! Bennu laughed within the mind of his host. Jeremiah was Naive, that much the Phoenix could admit. Jeremiah was also too confident but that was another story. The young mage twitched slightly at her words though her opinion didn't matter to him too much she just happened to slightly hit a nerve. She introduced herself as Chisu, saying that Jeremiah's reasoning was enough for her. Now was the time to put things in motion. Chisu turned and told him that it'd be best for him to give her his name so that she could add him to the roster for the "Man upstairs". From his knowledge the man upstairs usually meant god. Whoever Chisu was talking about must have been the guild master for her to refer him as the man upstairs. Miah wasn't quick to reveal his name though, he didn't know what shady shit Phantom Lord mages did and quite frankly he did't trust her until he was either brought to the "Man upstairs" or she gave him the guild crest. "You can call me Miah for now." He wasn't sure if he should have followed the woman anywhere but he did so anyway, why? Because he had big ass jumbo balls. Jeremiah always knew that there were people stronger than him, which is why he needed to become stronger, however he could also feel magical presence and he could tell that nobody present was on his level, at least none of the members that first crowded him. This will be very interesting...

She gave out a sight giggle. It was fair, his reasoning that is. Everyone had their reason.

"If you don't trust me, then you can't expect anyone here to trust you." He seemed to follow her, as if she was supposed to give a tour. Perhaps he wanted more than just her words. Maybe it seemed too simple for him.

She would slowly make her way into the guild hall, wondering what to do with the man. She was not going to hold his hand and show him the place. Perhaps she should tell him that.

"You might as well explore the halls then. Chances are, if the doors locked, you shouldn't be opening it." And with that, she would turn and begin to walk down the hall. If he had more to say, then perhaps he would say it. If he had anything to request, then he would. She had to inform Shura of the man.

But would it be smart to even bring the man to him?

Maybe. Perhaps she would meet with him quickly, and should he be ready, he would take the man in conversation to find his true motives and needs for the guild.

After all, there was no point in turning him away now. The only question was if they were supposed to keep an eye on him.

Explore the guild hall? That was it? It couldn't be. The takeover mage didn't travel all the way from Magnolia just to see the guild hall of Phantom Lord because if he wanted to do just that he'd have done it a long time ago. Was this all it took to become a member of Phantom Lord? Slightly irritated, he frowned. Jeremiah wouldn't be treated as nothing small. "I didn't come here just to see the walls of this building. Take me to the guild master, or whoever the man upstairs is." Perhaps Jeremiah was pushing it with the requests, but he'd take his chances anyway. He wasn't even given a guild crest yet, so he wasn't even an official member. Easy boy. The Phoenix spoke coldly, telling Jeremiah to calm down. I don't care if they don't trust me, I'm getting straight to the point. His sun-like eyes glared forward at Chisu. He meant business. Don't be foolish, Jeremiah. You are in no position to request such things, don't push your luck here this isn't Fairy Tail. If Bennu would have asked his vessel if he cared he would have gotten a flat out "No". Whoever was in charge was the person he wanted to see.

He was an impatient one. He would amuse her later, surely.

"I asked for a name. With no surname, I an only assume you failed to listen to what was said. Besides, I was going to get him for you, but if you're this impatient perhaps I will get him tomorrow." Chisu was much too tired to deal with a man of these sorts. If he couldn't wait a moment for a short exchange to fetch a man of real stature, then perhaps he was a waste of time.

There was no telling what guild he came from, but with the reactions of a war, rather than treason from the mages, she would assume that of a legal guild. Perhaps a Lamia Scale Mercenary seeking larger risk missions. She heard stories of things like that before, perhaps this man was no different.

But to be met with hostility would only lead to failure to cooperate. He was becoming a liability, and thus was a waste of her time. She was better off sleeping in than to deal with this. Perhaps she was better off letting him terrorize the others than to even consider trying to get him branded.

All in a days work.

Vance pushed open the doors to the hall, he was here at last. The adventurer was surprised to find the hall empty except for what looked like two people not far away. They hadn't took immediate note of him entering. So he closed the door softly. The smells surrounding both individuals filled his nasals quickly. Causing him to register them in his mind, pretty much forever. A tall dark-skinned boy, and an attractive female. Despite being so, she appeared to hold a fair level of authority. Vance had never met her before, he scoffed slightly. Then rubbed the back of his neck, he overhead what she was saying. Vance didn't know a whole lot, but he knew the old guildmaster. The one Bianca spoke so highly of, never denied promising young talent. Vance walked until he was within speaking distance to both of them.

"Nah it's good, he's with me. Thanks for all your help up to this point... Umm, yeah, sorry I don't recall your name. But you probably don't know mine either. I'm a friend of Bianca's, haven't spoke to her in awhile to be truthful. But this guy is one our close buddies so you'd have to take up with her if you don't believe me. No problem ay? Thanks."

If all was said and done, Vance would nod for Jeremiah to follow him away from the Manji girl. She seemed like an interesting character, but Vance knew she was giving the guy a hard time. Phantom Lord was an impressive guild, but it was because of it's accepting atmosphere that the members loved it. No need to ignore tradition. Give the kid a chance. Sure, Jeremiah could be a spy, but then that would mean he's Vance's responsibility. Which he was fine with taking, after all, Bianca gave Erebus the same chance and he became Vance, who was a success... Mostly? Maybe not, but who cares, all of that was irrelevant. What was relevant was getting this newbie into the ranks like he should be.

Chisu was doing a little too much for Jeremiah's liking. It shouldn't have been this hard for a guild approval, especially at a time like this when all he needed was a new beginning. If she would have stamped him then he would have been more patient but she was required to have an approval? Jeremiah's mana surpassed many in this building that much he could just feel so what else did she need to do? Just give him the damn stamp already. Chisu had begun saying that his impatience would cause him to suffer. It was in that moment that he wanted to simply smack her, but it was also in that moment that a man saved him and her from each other. He was an average looking man with average colored hair, nothing too special about him but he had much more of a presence than Chisu did that much was true. The man said Jeremiah was with him, causing a slight smirk as he looked at Chisu. Both Chisu and Miah hadn't expected that but the young Savannian accepted what had just happened, if Chisu did or if she didn't it wouldn't even matter to be honest. Whoever the hell Bianca was must have had some major pull with the way he used her name. Quickly, Chisu was shut down and the mystery man would nod for Miah to follow him and so he did.

"Hm." was all he could muster to say as he walked behind the man.

Vance tucked his hands into his pocket after that was all said and over, Chi must have had a surprised look on her face, not that it mattered to the lycan. He didn't ask for it, but his rank was pretty high, possibly higher than hers. Though, he wasn't going to say that out loud. Because frankly, he didn't know who she was. Baiting her too much and she might want to fight. Vance was always up for trading some blows, but not with guildmates and that seemed to be where these two were heading. Miah and Chi were practically anonymous to Vance, they could be S-rank and if they were, that would be a huge waste of talent. It's probably a good thing he popped in when he did. Keeping everybody in good favor of each other and whatnot.

Vance slowed to the point he was standing beside Jeremiah. He then looked at him in the face, eye contact was important, not for any authoritative reasoning really. In fact it was more for Jeremiah, allowing his fellow guild-mate to know he was willing to offer respect if he could receive some in the process.

"You look tough. I'm guessing you have experience so we can skip all of that, not like that really matters to me anyways. Anyhow, let's get your guild marks first. You have a color preference? I'm Vance by the way. B-rank. Yourself?"

One thing Jeremiah noticed since the Phoenix's return was that he didn't talk as much as he used to. Perhaps it was because Jeremiah had already successfully sealed him deep within his mental before, so he didn't want to have a negative relationship with his host. That's where the "If you don't have nothing nice to say, then don't say it all" quote came into play. Finally Bennu acknowledged his host as someone worthy. The man spke, looking Jeremiah directly in his eyes and Miah did the same. It was a sign of mutual respect. He said Jeremiah looked tough so he'd skip all the shit about experience and stuff, but would instead give him the guild's tattoo. Jeremiah pointed to the whole in his shirt. It was above his pelvis on his lower stomach. "Red." he simply said. He didn't know how the man now known as Vance would take to stamping him there but Jeremiah never thought too hard about such things. "Thanks Vance. I'm Jeremiah, seems we're both the same rank." His facial expression remained nonchalant - it's just how he was. Vance and him were the same rank which meant that their levels of power was close but it didn't necessarily mean that they were equal in terms of fighting. However, Jeremiah was sure there wasn't anyone he couldn't handle. The young mage looked around briefly before speaking again. "Who runs this place?"

Erebus was caught off guard, thinking Jeremiah wanted him to tat dude's dick or something. Like damn a little forward but okay, and then he noticed that it was instead the lower stomach so maybe it wasn't as forward as Van had initially thought. Not that was important, Vance seemed to be a little more outgoing than his friend was. That's fine, he had been since his mind wipe, in fact Vance was at least a bit likable based on past meetings with Lucifer, Bianca, Yumi, and etc. Maybe it was just in his personality to get along. It certainly made his, and everyone surrounding hims' job much easier. Maybe that was a blessing in some cases. Erebus too was good at taking orders, but he was a dick in every sense of the word. The new incarnation was much kinder. Definitely a better drinking buddy.

"Oh nice. That's good to know, and yeah man, nice to meet you. I'm sure we'll get along great."

The two continued down a hall. Until they came to a door, inside was a magical fireplace with glowing rods that could brand colorful tattoos into the the chosen members of phantom lord. Vance had his on his chest. So he'd been through this process himself already. Before entering he tilted his head, giving an expression that was pretty curious himself.

"I joined right around the time the old guild-master was murdered by one of the Grimoire Heart leaders. After that, I think a guy named Geb took lead, but since Geb died too. We've pretty much been at an anarchy within the ranks. Not that it was much different even when there was a leader. As you can see, some people have taken to being authoritative. You have members of the guild who aim for the title, but nothing has really be voted on or decided yet. Last I heard, a guy named Shura was suppose to lead. I haven't met him personally, can't gauge where he stands in the grand schemes of Phantom Lord."

In truth Shura Ranzu and Vance were close friends in the past. They went on more than a few mission together, but that was Erebus not Vance. Those memories were burned from Vance's head. He couldn't reclaim them. At least, it seemed as so. For the moment. Vance walked inside and grabbed a glowing red rod. He turned to see Jeremiah. And without much hesiation lept forward in a jabing motion, which would press the branding into Jermiah's flesh. If there was a mark underneath it would erase, and Phantom Lord's crest would accompany the darkskinned mage along with an intense pain until the brand was pulled away.

"Welcome aboard Jeremiah."

Vance was pretty chill, something Jeremiah could fuck with. In fact, Jeremiah had already decided that Vance would be the closest thing to a friend he had in this guild. He was a Fairy from the start so trusting Phantoms would be hard for him period but he had no doubt in his mind that him and Vance would become friends quickly. The only friend he ever truly had was Teiho though he wasn't sure what exactly happened to that dude. Hopefully he didn't die but if he did life goes on. Together they walked down the halls of the guild until they reached a door and entered. Inside was a fireplace where different colored rods had been placed in. He was really getting a Phantom Lord guild crest stamped onto him in about 10 seconds. Things will never be the same from here on out, boy. As if that wasn't obvious enough. Whatever it takes. was his reply to the spirit inside of him.

Vance informed Miah that the guild master was murdered by a Grimoire Heart member just before he joined. A member though? Not even the guild master of Grimoire heart delivered the killing blow, it was one of his guild members. Perhaps Grimoire Heart would have been the correct guild to join in that case, though he heard rumors of the guild master not giving much care for his members - not that it mattered, but he wasn't going to be a pawn in the game of life. Becoming a Phantom would fathom just fine. Then he spoke about Geb who also died but he made note in the difference of words used to describe both guild masters deaths. The next up for Phantom Lord Guild master was Shura.

"Hm."

Just then Vance turned and jabbed him with the metal. It was hot of course, but it would do nothing to phase Jeremiah. Fire was in his blood...heat was in his blood so it caused him no pain, though the jab from the metal hurt a bit so he winced. There he stood, allowing the metal to burn his skin and place the crest of Phantom Lord onto him. Vance welcomed him.

"I'm officially a Phantom now,
huh? Now all that's left is to meet this Shura
guy."
Truth be told, now that Jeremiah knew there was no guild master his mind raced with ideas on how he could use Phantom Lord if he himself become the Guild master though if there was a vote to decide who became the master, Shura would no doubt win unless he somehow won everybody over before voting took place...or...if Vance tried for the position.

"Mi casa es su casa."

Jeremiah was in, simple, and sweet. He was right too, all the official traditional pieces were out of the way. The only real thing remaining for the ex fairy was to hold conversation with Shura. Vance had the mind to want to speak to him too, but then again he'd come this far without meeting the guy; it probably wouldn't really phase him if the two never spoke. In dark guilds it was common for two mages with the same crest to never meet. At the same time, it was probably better if he did too. That would be an event for another day.

Vance sat the rod back within the magical branding flames. He rubbed the back of his neck, sighing with a grin. Maybe now the guild wouldn't be as quiet. Somebody around his level that seemed like a good teammate? No doubt the two would risk their necks in the future, hopefully the bonds of brotherhood could grow and they'd be doing so to help one another. Again, that's positive thinking, Vance had to remember that anyone coming into Phantom Lord couldn't be doing so on just a whim. We all have our own stories, it'd be wise to remember Jeremiah has his own.

"I guess. I traveled awhile so I'm going to try and catch some Zs. If you need me, just ask around. Also, we should grab a job in the morning. If you're down for a little crime, it shouldn't be too much for you to handle. Later Jeremiah."

Jeremiah simply nodded. With a simple "Sure." He accepted Vance's offer to do a job with him in the morning He wondered just exactly how dark "dark guilds" jobs were. Whatever, he'd still do them anyway because it was the path he would have to take to power. He had nothing left..no family...no friends, just himself, Bennu and now Samehada. He was new to the guild so for a bit he would allow Vane to lead him but only until he was more experienced in this new line of work. Jeremiah looked down as the dark haired man left. Phantom Lords crest was planted on his skin now. I hope this does mean that you'll allow me to- If it comes down to it and that's what has to be done. The fiery spirit snickered in his thoughts. You've grown darker, boy. Bennu left it at that. Now was the time to actually take Chi's suggestion in to consideration. It was time to scope the guild for whatever was meant for him to find.

Shura Ranzu †

Shura Ranzu

He sat in the back of the room, the candle of last night burnt down to end, only to have a replacement stand over it. A single piece of paper lay on the desk as a pen danced over it with odd shapes and symbols.

Shura had taken the time to understand Chi, for the sake of themselves. As Chisu would learn of him, he would learn of her. He had taken some time to learn the recordings of her clan, only to be taken by the old language. For him however, it was a chance to find the stories that connected their bloodlines years ago. All he had to find was the great war and he would find his answers.

But in truth, he hoped to find a flaw in Chi's thoughts as well as his own. He wanted to stop her, but he was far to late. She was no longer human. With her own sacrifices, she had given her humanity to grow closer to him. As an act to try and stop her foolish path, he would begin to write out what needed to be done, for the both of them, for both dreams to succeed. All he wanted to do, was to remember the gaps in his memories. Why did they exist to begin with?

But the girl would enter their room and interrupt him.

But what would she say?

THE BEGINNING
I WILL TAKE HIS PLACE!

She had no right to talk to this newcomer the way she did. But with a heritage full of betrayals and her family massacred based on false promises, she was left with a rather bitchy attitude that came out without much effort.

She wanted to get Shura, not for his authority, but for the fact that she was new herself. She didn't feel as if she could welcome anyone properly. She wanted to do it correctly, and if anything failed, it would be on other, not her own head. That would be far too much responsibility.

As the second man would appear, Chi would smile at the mention of names. "If I had known she knew her, then I would have taken him without issue."

That much was true. She knew only of Bianca and Shura. Any other face was new to her, but she would trust her instincts for now. She would feel the man was ruthless and reckless, something she would steer clear from. She had no need to get caught up in chaos. That was more Shura's speed, and thus the reason she sought him.

"I'll be upstairs if you need me then." She'd walk away with a smile, amused by it. It always helped now and then to drop a name. If this man was friends with an existing member, then it made her life easier. Less for her to worry about. It was only her concern to meet the members of the guild. It seemed as if everyone only knew a few others.

They needed to come together.

B-Ranks.

Chisu held onto that bit of information. She was lower than them, as she already figured. But her power was brimming. But it wouldn't matter if she was ranks above. She was a supporter mage. She was focused on keeping everyone alive, rather than killing others.

But then as the conversation went on, she wondered what the proper process was. As they would turn to go down the hall, she would detour and follow not too far behind. She would hold her breath, peeking into the room. The day Shura gave her her own mark, she was tipsy and kept the memory in a haze. She reached up and felt the lower end of her neck, grazing the top of her own branding. Rather than a simple mark, she had it burned into her back with steel and fire. It was permanent, and it was as she requested.

"Last I heard, a guy named Shura was suppose to lead." She heard the words and immediately turned the other direction. She would make her way far from them, her footsteps heard, but nothing loud. She knew this guild had issues. That was going to be its downfall.

No one knew each other.

As far as they all knew, they were all the sole member of the guild.

She would open the door only to stand in the doorway. She would begin to let out a soft laugh as she leaned on the frame. She was growing to enjoy this guild.

"You're an unofficial guild master of a guild that doesn't even know who their allies are." She smiled a sinister grin. "So that's why you wanted to make a roster." She begun to laugh. He wanted her to take in account all of the faces and names. That would serve them both for the best. As one collected his own thoughts, the other would collect the rest.

"Then perhaps we should call a meeting,"

[/end?]

Jeremiah heard them as he spoke with Vance, but he didn't bother to pay them any mind since they were in fact inside a guild hall...and obviously there were people who walked inside of a guild. However, he did notice how the steps began closer to where he and Vance were and became quieter with each step as if someone was moving away. Not long after his peer exited the room, Jeremiah did the same but he wouldn't be going to find anywhere to rest, he was going to do some snooping around. The brown skinned mage walked out of the room and began making his way slowly down the hall and back into where all the members had been. Since he was now a Phantom Lord guild member, these fodder hardly acknowledged his existence. Many looked down at the hole in his shirt, revealing the red crest on his stomach many hating for one reason or another but he didn't care.

His main priority right now was to explore. Seeing the steps to the upper level of the hall, Ali made his way upstairs quitely, making sure that he moves a silently as possible until he came to a corner. There, he heard a voice. No doubt it was Chisu, the woman with an odd aura but a wickedly beautiful appearance. She was speaking to someone. She wasn't too far either, maybe two or 3 meters at most. Jeremiah would be out of her sight though as he stood with his back against the wall. If he was to walk forward then he would reveal himself but would most likely be the first to see Chisu. He didn't though, he instead listened closely. So she went to the man in charge after all. This had to be the Shura guy Vane spoke about.

"Unofficial Guildmaster."

Seems that Chisu wanted to add Jeremiah to the roster for Shura after all. Who was this woman to Shura though? She seemed to have a influence on his decisions considering she just suggested a meeting. Why was Shura running the guild? Was he the strongest mage? Or maybe he was the only one who really wanted to step up to the plate? Jeremiah wanted to hear more of their conversation.

He couldn't help but smile at her suggestion. She was learning faster than he did. Maybe her words had some weight. Maybe  she did know best.

"Taking it that you met some of the other members already." the though of Chi actually having to talk to people brought him an odd joy. Like watching a rabid dog allowing it's own butt to be sniffed for once. "Did you get their name too? Or did you only bring me one?"

Shura didn't have to ask to know that she already had one name to list. But with uncooperative members, she was going to have a difficult task at hand. "Doesn't matter, there's always tomorrow to get more of it done. I'm a bit hungry. How are you holding up?"

He dodged the conversation. Something made him uneasy. He would look over his back to glance at Chisu, wondering if she had brought anything, and after he would resume to his work.

Something was wrong, and perhaps it was more than their plans. Perhaps it was something more . . .

"If the both of us want to make this happen, we need that list of names. You can't move forward until I know everyone that belongs in these walls. I can't risk your family killing a Phantom Lord by accident."

"Miah, it was all he gave me."  she said, "Seemed a bit chaotic, arrogant, whichever. Take your pick. More your recklessness than my type. I was going to introduce him to you, but he got annoying and eventually this other man came to brand him." She said that word brand. She was probably the only one with the symbol burned into her flesh. She was not one to go with a simple stamping. She wanted Shura to seer her skin with his own flame. Something that would both symbolize her devotion to him, as well as something bigger.

"Came up here as soon as he brought up your name. I don't even think anyone really knows you exist." She would sigh with his following words. "I'll get us some food later. Probably from that cafe again."

She would take a step into the room, paying no mind to the man outside. If anyone was in the guildhall that shouldn't be, they should be taken care of.

"Les isn't that stupid." she would say, "Isn't that the point of having her join the knights? her job is to keep an eye out for us. Besides, I have my way of doing it, you have your way. Plus no one has gotten consumed without a full check. Anyone without the sign has been taken care of. No one with ours has even been touched,"

She would lean backwards to look down both ends of the hall. Just in case.

"You swear my family kills randomly. We work the same way the guild does, though instead of a brand, we have blood."

What the hell did Chisu's family have to do with anything? Shura apparently needed the list so that her family wouldn't accidentally kill any members but why would they do that? Who exactly is Chisu? Jeremiah listened closely as e was brought up. She only knew him as Miah which was a good things at the moment but if Chisu's family was really that dangerous then maybe it'd be smarter for him to give them his full name...but then again maybe it wasn't wise for a Family like that to know who he was. One thing was for certain, he would have to do his own research on Chisu. "Les" Ali would also have to remember that name. Whiever Les was was someone that worked for Phantom Lord but covered as a Rune Knight. Things were getting more and more intriguing with every word. What would be next?

Consuming people from other guilds besides Phantom Lord? Seems he saved himself after all by leaving Fairy Tail. He didn't know what all the talk about consuming was and he also wasn't sure if it was Shura, Les, or Chisu doing it. One thing was for certain though; Chisu's family were tight and they didn't kill randomly. Jeremiah peeked out, seeing that the woman was no longer immediately outside the room, he dashed across the hall in a second, hiding behind a wall without making a sound. It would be easier to hear from here and he had an easier time seeing the room a bit but he still couldn't see Shura, only Chi's right shoulder.

He wondered what would happen if they spotted him...

What would be the point of asking Chise questions that neither of them knew. The only reason either of them would bring up such things was to share what was on the other's mind.

Mind. Thoughts. None of it was clear with Chi around. In fact she made things complicated if anything. Let, around her he was more at peace, as if the air around them was much more . . . calm.

"Speaking of blood," he began, only to see a shadow cast in the corner of the room, watching them. It was irritating to see him at a time like this. "How's Nameless. Has she told you anything yet, or told them anything?" He knew the connection of their blood. Like before, it was the different paths that allowed the both of their ancestors to work together. The Ranzu was the powerful and reckless, the Manji was the secretive and silent. . . also weak. But that was what they stuck together for.

"You can't possibly think that Phantom Lord will get behind your stupid unity. And if they do, they'll come after you for letting her do it." That man barked his words, mocking him, almost begging him to lash out.

"Also, with that other girl, I wish you the best of luck. I highly doubt any other member will assist you on the matter. It's probably best you stay silent about it as well. We can't have people getting the wrong idea." He said it with a hint of scorn, but still he wanted her to do it. As much as he hated the idea of working with other guilds, he wanted his enemies to burn. If he could use others to achieve it with a smaller risk to them all, then so be it. Chi was no spokesperson of Phantom Lord.

She was simply the hand that reached out to the wicked and foolish to get things done. She would dirty her hands with things that Shura could not do.

For the sake of the great Phantom Lord.

"Another is on her way to the Temple." Chi would answer him with no hesitation. She had nothing to hide from him. Though the sound of the air moving was enough to unsettle her for a bit. She would twist her neck to spot a familiar face, only to smile at the sight of him. Perhaps she was wrong about him. Maybe he had some uses.

"Her magic is impure, just like Shrine maiden." Immediately the names were removed from the conversation, and replaced. Chi was stupid, but she wasn't foolish. "And like most people here, she strives for power."

She would listen to the second part of his words, only to reply with a nod and more brief silence. If the man wanted to speak, now would be the time. If not, she would continue. There was nothing to hide for the-

"I want to see you split a body open." she laughed. Her own figure creeped in the shadows of the room for two. Her eyes would stare into the space that Geno would remain and the both of them would smile at the thought of the old world. Nameless was just a spirit that lived in a relic. Geno lived in the mind of the man. But together, they became the team that Chisu and Shura wish they would attain.

"I'll see to is that they'll be ready for the first stop. Don't be surprised if I leave for a week." She would give a short chuckle. " . . . Maybe by then I'll have more names for you, Mr. Guildmaster."

"Nameless" Perhaps that's who Les was. Hiding behind the wall Jeremiah listened thoroughly to what was going on. If the two of them hadn't noticed him by now then they were bad at their jobs, but then again they probably hadn't expected anybody to be sneaking around. Jeremiah was smart, slightly arrogant but he was an analyzer sometimes even over analyzing things. You could never be too sure. Shura and Chi spoke for a few minutes after addressing another person known as "The other guild." It seemed that Chisu had a plan that would involve Jeremiah's new guild. There was so much information that he was obtaining by just standing here. Knowledge was power and power was everything in this world. The more he learned about people the easier it would be for him to use them. Chisu had pull and Shura was leading for now but the young Savannian in the end would be using them both to get what he wanted. In a sense, he would be leading this dark guild onto his path. Chisu concluded her last sentence by calling saying she'd be gone for a while and that she would also have an improved list of names for Shura - calling him guild master. Interesting. Jeremiah had enough listening. The young Phantom began to silently make his way back over towards the side he just recently left. As he walked though he ironically stepped on a loose piece of wood making a slight creaking noise. Dammit he thought.
