Odin †

Dr. Stephan Mabuz had requested Odin for another Quest, but this time he was not alone. Having gone for a drink with Nastasya after their escapades in the Oakland church and catacombs with the slimes, the good doctor had sent them both a letter, asking for Odin due to his previous work and suggesting he bring a partner for this one as it was a request Dr. Mabuz wished to be completed as soon as possible. With that, the two Grimoire Heart mages were heading to the woods, having to locate a strange kind of mushroom for the doctor's no doubt nefarious schemes. It didn't seem like it was going to be a particularly challenging Quest, but finding one mushroom in the entire Oak forests would no doubt be a pain for all involved.

Nastasya was a little bit offended. He said he could take a partner. Mabuz said Odin could take a partner, didn't they meet before? Didn't she do the hexes for him. Pff she was offended a little and that's why she was walking behind Odin with her arms crossed and a sour look on her face. It was ridiculous and she knew that but she was going to give Mabuz an ear full once they got back. "So again, why are we looking for a shroom?" She started looking around but since they didn't really hit the woods yet that were surrounding the hill of Oak, there wasn't much interesting to see. She actually doubted to see much mushrooms in the winter. There was also a little bit of snow and she thought mushrooms were more autumn plants.

"Honestly, no idea. But the doctor asked for it and he's paying us so why not."

She was definitely not a happy girl today, Nastasya had spent the entire journey walking behind Odin like a child having a temper tantrum, and the young dark mage had no idea why she was like that, didn't want to ask because Nastasya could be scary at the best of times, and you do not prod an angry bear, no matter how curious you are. Looking around the hills on which they stood, Odin and his partner began making their way down to the forest surrounding Oak town, about to start their search for a strange mushroom.

Odin had a good point. The only why not option was that she could go to the spa of her hotel and relax and do nothing. Something that was definitely not on her list but that didn't matter for now. She tried to get rid of her annoyed mood, more for Odin and she would let her anger slumber and just wait for their return to the shop. "Alrighty than. Let's do this." she tried to sound a little more enthusiastic but it sounded more sarcastic than she had intended.

With her black boots she walked around the snowy parts of the forrest to look closer to trees where there was no snow. "What did it look like again? Completely gray with blue dots?" she said as she found one, but for some reason she wasn't sure if it was the one. Making her moody, made her also not remember stuff very well. Stupid of herself she knew but it just so happened.

Nastasya was really annoyed about something, but Odin didn't care enough to ask. At the end of the day, they were both here to do a job, so personal things had to be put to the side. It seemed like she was trying as she tried to work up some enthusiasm, but she didn't sound very excited. Better than nothing anyway, as the two arrived at the forests, Nastasya heading towards the base of trees with less snow to try and scan for the mushroom. Within a few moments she had found something, a mushroom that was grey except for some blue dots on it. Pondering for a moment, Odin went over to a nearby tree to try and find the right one, remembering what it was they were looking for.

"It was tall, grey and skinny, like the one you've got, but we're looking for one who's spots glow green, like properly light up. Might be better waiting until dark to see it better."

Hm so she was close to finding the right mushroom but the colour of the dots were off. She walked a little further into the woods, if they were indeed shining in the dark than it was easier to wait for the sun to drop behind the horizon. Which didn't take long during winter days but that still meant they would have to wait a little. She made a little snow ball and on purpose threw it to a tree next to Odin and smiled. "I feel better now." she said as if to made up for her grumpy mood. "Is it smarter to go further into the woods. It might be darker there so we can maybe find the shroom earlier on?" It was only a suggestion, she didn't mind being outside in the snow but not everyone liked it and she could imagine that Odin rather wanted to go back, get the money and do something else. There was a lot of preparation before the day of Yumi her plan. "What you think about Yumi her plan?" It was just something that popped up in her mind and why not just ask while she continued searching.

As they looked around for more mushrooms, trying to find the right one before as soon as possible, Nastasya decided to have a little fun, picking up a snowball and throwing it at a tree that wasn't that far away from Odin's head, potentially trying to instigate something, but Odin had never been one for games outside of battle. Against an opponent, he would toy with them and destroy them, but a snowball fight was not something that interested the young mage. Nastasya also suggested they head deeper into the forest to reach a darker area, which would make it a lot easier to spot something that glowed. Nodding, Odin started to head deeper in, no doubt with his partner next to him.

It was then that his guildmate decided to mention the plan Yumi had gathered them all to discuss, and what his thoughts on it were. Reaching into his coat pockets, Odin pulled out the envelope he had been given, with the letter B enscribed in the center, turned it over a few times, and then returned it to its original position, as he headed to a darker tree to look for the mushrooms.

"Yumi is a crafty individual, so whatever her plan is no doubt it'll be very interesting. As for my thoughts on it, there's no way for them to exist until I know exactly what it is she's asking of us."

Even though she was almost sure that she was older than Odin was, he didn't seem to understand the concept of a play. Or well her throwing a snow ball not that she intended to really have a big fight but she needed to do something and she had tried, it had failed. She was too carefree, which was fun from time to time. She had suggested after her snowball attempt to go further into the woods and Odin immediately anticipated on the idea and she followed him further into the woods. It was getting a little bit darker because the threes were bigger and the tops where together, now not all still had leaves but the pine trees did which made some parts dark and immediately Nasty went to look around the tree roots to see if there were again some slim gray shrooms there that gave off a green light. But again there was nothing. She looked up when Odin answered her question, "Yeah I know, we don't know what it is completely but what do you think it is?" She went on to the next tree to find it but instead found a mouse eating a mushroom, so she shrugged and walked to the next tree, getting deeper and deeper into the dark woods surrounding Oak Town.

Having a look around the darker patches of forest that Odin could see, he noticed a faint glow coming from a tree further away than he currently was. Running over to it, the young dark mage smiled as he ran his hand over a slim, tall grey mushroom with green spots, which did actually glow in the dark, giving off an alien green light. Picking up the mushroom, Odin walked over to Nastasya as he listened to her question about what Yumi could be planning, and asking if Odin had any thoughts himself. Sighing, the young mage responded,

"I have no idea. Whatever it is though, it was important to request us all to meet in the same place and discuss, so it's going to be big. You got any thoughts on what it could be, or what your group will be doing that Team B won't? Also, I think this might be what we're looking for?"

Nastasya turned around another tree to see something but there was no glow or light coming from every point that she was looking at. So she sighed again and looked up when she noticed Odin was coming her way. He answered her question but seemed a little bit annoyed by the question? She wasn't sure about it but he answered at least. "I don't understand why we split up. But because she emphazised the idea of places and time, I think that my team is not where your team is." But more she didn't know either. There were too many options that she couldn't even think of the whole idea as one anymore. She only gave a smile and looked at the mushroom that Odin held up. [color:9a18=993366]"Oh yeah that must be it!" so they were now able to head back to Dr. Mabuz, which she would maybe give a head full another day. She didn't feel the need, she wanted to do something more fun.

It was already getting darker and darker and Nastasya held her bag open for Odin to put the mushroom in. She didn't want to walk in town with a suspicious looking mushroom in their hands. But not many people were on the street when they arrived. So she simply walked to the store and tried to be aware if there were others.

She let Odin do the talking and grabbed the mushroom out of her bag if Odin had put it in there, otherwise she was just there standing and looking a little annoyed again. As soon as they received the money, she turned to Odin "Thanks for taking me with you. Let's do it again some time." she smiled before she left, planning to do something fun.

They had found the right mushroom, and Odin was happy to put it in Nastasya's bag before heading back to oak town, making it just after nightfall and thus avoiding the majority of the people in the town, which was certainly a good thing as the two dark mages headed straight to the house of Dr. Mabuz, delivering the mushroom and receiving their payment for it without issue, with Odin doing the majority of the speaking, which wasn't all that much, and Nastasya handing over the actual mushroom to the doctor.

As they walked out of the house, Nastasya thanked Odin for inviting her along with him for the Quest and suggested they definitely do it again, which Odin had no issues with, waving good bye to his partner as she left, leaving Odin to wander the streets of Oak himself before he too headed back to his room, happy at another day's work completed and feeling like going back to his room and simply sleeping, with not much else planned for the day.
