How much different it were, to see how the city of Marigold adjusted to the impending cold weather than that of Hargeon. In the port city, urgency was key. The ability to sit back, wait for things to play out, the nature of the world would move on and the day would be great again tomorrow, those were attributes that simply did not exist for the people there. There was no time that could be afforded, as with the ending of summer would come the inevitable winter, and the brutal seas and weather that would be along with it. As such, the people found themselves faced with utter urgency, the need to handle their affairs, to be adequately prepared, not just for themselves heading into the winter, but also that of being able to prepare themselves for when the spring would inevitably arrive too. For the winter, as much as cities like Marigold and those more within the country could afford to treat it with a loose sense of non-urgency, that could not have been said of the port town that looked upon it as a potential doomsday waiting to happen, lest they not prepare proper.

That was the most striking thing for her, especially having been around the port of Hargeon so much that it seemed that she could as much tell what the sentiment was as much as anyone, yet right here in the city that were also within the southern part of Fiore, Vyra did not seem to have any reason to be concerned, nor could she have imagined that anyone else were either. In fact, the sense of it becoming autumn now, it was something that were more celebrated, a stark contrast to what she had been used to. The people used it as an excuse for all sorts of things. New plays, new celebrations, new drinks, new wines, new adventures, new markets, it was as though the city came alive with the changing of the season, and Vyra, having made herself acclimated within the city for a time as she still struggled to fully understand and appreciate her connections now within Oracion Seis, the guild whom she had entered following her execution of the infamous Red Queen, whose residence she had also taken up, effectively living there as a vagabond within there, whilst the people who wanted the streets were none the wiser as to her sudden disappearance.

Marigold had shown already that there were far more than she had first realized about it; so much of her opinions of the city in the past having een tied to the racially-bigoted material that had been coming out of the theatre for the past year now, a feature that as much was painting the city in a negative light, but also painting its people in that same perspective too. It led to it being something that nobody wanted, nobody wanted to be associated with, or otherwise known for being. Sad that it was only recently that the people seemed to start caring about this, having allowed it go on for months beforehand, Vyra making note of it each and every time she had arrived, hoping that the situation were a bit better each time, only to come away a bit disappointed and more and more doubting that the people actually cared at all about trying to be better. But in the recent days, there were a change, one that seemed to grab everyone by the consciousness and have them change their tune, to suddenly decry that behavior, to say that the material pushed out was awful, that it had no place there. It was like a breath of fresh air that was being breathed into the city of Marigold, and for once, Vyra found herself glad to be there.

It was a chance to see the city from a different perspective. One that was not negatively influenced like how she had become, being able to appreciate the finer things, the art that was there, the creative flourish that existed that had been for so long hidden behind bigotry and a horrid business philosophy. Instead, things were better, there were hope in it, in the people, and also in the Theatre, much to the delight of the people whom were living there or otherwise had come there now, some people now being inspired to create their own shows again. However, with all of this excitement and growth and development of creativity, one thing that was also true were those who had tried to take advantage of the bigotry and racism were no longer in a position to do so, nor were they being accepted back for what they had been doing. Those that were not outed immediately and condemned were given a chance to show their work in its true form, often through a new performance. But, unlike the racially charged garbage that they were able to push out, it sparked little difference in quality than this.

And those plays were eviscerated by the people, none of them being held in any good regard, instead being accosted, the actors and actresses embarrassed for their involvement, some of them having tried to save face in the wake of being premier actors and actresses of the racist circuit, but they were hardly shown much favor either. Beyond just Vyra, there were no shortages of crowds that viewed the performances as laughable, the cries of disgust being those that drowned out whatever sort of attempts they may have made to try to win the favor of the crowd. She could not help but crack a smile upon her face while it was all going on, a huge deal of it feeling incredibly rewarding to her. She delighted in seeing something that she had found herself hating so much changing into something that made her feel so much better. It was a reassuring thing, one that she was beyond excited for, not just in the hope that it would mean a new future for Marigold, but it would be a chance for her in nearly two years to see what it were actually like here.
