Nana had not been in West Fiore very long: maybe two or three days time, before she was contacted for her next quest. She had fully expected it, the timing seemed appropriate. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the lone shadowy figure who stood in the looming shadows of the nearby street alleyway and waited patiently for her to look in their direction. She vaguely suspected it was one of Matorro's men. The moment her head turned in that direction, the figure motioned for her to come closer. She wouldn't at first, simply to avoid suspicion and to make sure that she wasn't being followed or watched first. or worse, if her client was being watched or followed. To Nana's surprise, it wasn't one of Matorro's men, but the leader Matorro himself. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were about to ask me something unsavory." she would say with a wink as she approached cautiously. WC-161 WC Total-161

Matorro's expression told Nana all that she needed to know. Today was the day that Matorro had decided to kill someone. Whether he had planned to do it himself or not, hadn't been revealed- although Nana suspected that the man would refuse to do the dirty deed himself. Or at least that's how Nana understood the man and his moral alignments. "Here, take this. I want you to put it in a drink of Kalaus'. it's poison." he would say. He didn't plan to do it himself, but orchestrate it. "Kalaus visits a very specific bar on his free days. It's a bar just around the corner. he'll be there in a few hours. Make sure he drinks it, but be discreet." he said as he gave Nana the instructions. "Id like to do it myself, but my crew and I can't be seen anywhere near the man. The authorities would take in my people on suspicion." he would explain further, almost as if he was apologizing for the fact he couldn't kill Kalaus himself. WC-175 WC Total-336

Nana grasped the vial of green liquid in her hand as she looked down at it. She listened to Matorro's words and believed him. She had been to his hideout before and had seen many of the faces of Kalaus' victims. The surviving families of the miners to which Kalaus was responsible for their deaths. Some of them were grown men, turned to crime with the loss and grief of losing their loved ones. Others were children, others were mothers and wives. Nana didn't doubt that many of them wanted justice, if not revenge. Accomplishing that wish however was near to impossible for them. At least without spending the rest of their lives locked up in a cell as a murderer. Matorro was the one orchestrating it, thanks to the information Nana had retrieved before. Nana herself would be the instrument of revenge, not justice. If justice was served, Kalaus would be absolved of his crimes with the exchange of some quantified amount of jewels in which the lives of the lost would be measured in. Those jewels wouldn't even go into the hands of the survivors, but line the pockets of officials and corrupt guards. Justice was hardly meted out in equal measure. WC-204 WC Total-540

Poisoning one man would be a simple enough task, nothing grandiose or awe inspiring. Nana was simply doing this request because it was asked of her by her client. She wasn't doing it for the survivors or the victims, she wasn't doing it for personal revenge or the concept of quid pro quo. No, Nana was in fact a much worse murderer than this Kalaus. Judging him would just make her a hypocrite. Being an executioner was different however, she could do that without question or opinion. "He'll die a mysterious and bewildering death." she would say after a moment's silence passed between her and the shadow of Matorro in the alleyway. She pocketed the vial of poison, but only after ensuring that the lid was on the vial snug and properly. She would pocket the vial in her bosom after all, between her obscene cleavage. If the poison had leaked out, it could have easily been Nana the one that ended up dead instead. She had no intention of kicking the bucket so soon. WC-175 WC Total-715

Poisoning With her instructions clear and her destination already plotted, Nana was confident with the information and task. Enough to accomplish the quest to Matorro's specifications. It seemed that he had learned to be more careful and clever with his words. He hadn't been too pleased when Nana had extracted the information of Kalaus from the innocent third party member of the business deed to which had led to Matorro's miner group's death. Her method of abstraction had been through murder and torture- murder of the man's butler and torture of the business man himself. The look he had given her told her that he wasn't happy, but she had reminded him that his instructions hadn't told her to not torture the man, or to not kill his butler. Matorro had learned his lesson in the most regrettable way. Even now, the man probably blamed himself for the needless death of one man and the trauma of another innocent man. The only questions that remained to Nana, were several... though most didn't pertain to the actual quest. Killing was a natural occurrence and talent to the blonde haired daemon woman after all. Even as she had listened to Matorro, she suspected that eventually she may have had to kill the man. She was taller than him and it was obvious that she intimidated him, likely both physically and mentally. She was a killer after all, a cold blooded impartial maniac who's only code of conduct was whatever strange and twisted code of honor she possessed. To which included her very strict code of following her clients' words to the letter- or lack there of. Those thoughts were for at a later time however. Matorro would continue to use nana's services until at least the man felt that his revenge was complete. Her thoughts turned to the wooden building before her, the bar that matorro had mentioned. Lucky for Nana, she liked drinking. She could drink at her leisure while waiting for the perfect opportunity to poison her target. The bar itself was nothing extraordinary. Just a local pub where many souls went to drown their sorrows. For some, it was regrettable memories. To others, it was traumatic memories. To some, it was a place to forget stupid decisions or forget faces. And the rest were just looking to relax after a long day's reprieve. Kalaus was one of those men. A rich merchant and business man who used alcohol to forget his immediate concerns and hope blindly for better dealings in the future. If not, he could always make someone else pay for most of the expenses while he lined his own pockets with the profits. Profits to which he spent to buy his fake friends and compatriots at the bar on his dats off of business. This day, Nana would just be another one of the many faces at the bar- granted she was easily the most beautiful there. In fact, it would seem odd for a woman such as Nana to visit such a rough and smelly place. It wasn't uncommon for her however. The best way to go about this quest, was to make herself a natural at the bar. To do this, she would get familiar with many of the regulars at the bar. Maybe give them some wrong impressions or make them think that they had a chance simply because she gave some of her time and attention to them. First, she would approach the bar attendant at the island bar in the center of the building's large open room. "Something strong." she would say in a friendly tone, off-putting from what she was asking. Typically people started with something easy and worked into the harder stuff before blacking out. The bar-keep looked at her questionable, but she held his gaze more steady than he had anticipated. After a couple of seconds of staring at her while cleaning a glass, he put the glass down and began to pour a dark whiskey into it. "I don't want any trouble tonight." he would simply say, leaving it at that. he had a vague idea as to her identity, but that was none of his business. His business was running the bar. Nana spotted him almost immediately, a robust man with several expensive looking items of jewelry he wore around his arms and neck. He was an elderly gentleman but he was also one of the loudest. He smoked from a cigar and raked in the jewels from his most recently winnings at the game on the table. Cards. Some of the game participants gave up and left in frustration. A few replaced those, hoping to earn a few quick profits. The man Nana was targeting currently was confident and loud- signs hew as comfortable here and likely knew many of the current customers. One of the seats next to him opened up and Nana quickly made her way beside him, placing her glass down next to his- interrupting one of the other men who had tried to sit in her spot. One look was all it took to decide who got to sit next to him. Already inebriated from the alcohol's effects, the man quickly ushered the other many away to allow the sexy woman to sit next to him. The other man scowled but left, not from the fat man's discretion, but from the look Nana gave him for a split second. It creeped him out and he felt his life flash before his eyes. He left without a complaint. Ivis, the man that nana would soon learn his name, was tired of looking at the ugly faces of the other men at the bar. Ivis was thrilled and his ego was stoked. There were few women indeed at the bar, less so that were pretty. None that even came close to rivaling Nana's beauty. Of course he was no foolish man. he had come to bars all of his life and had seen the many vices of humans, including the manipulations of women. He was happy that Nana had chosen him, but he was also suspicious. More like... Why exactly had the beautiful woman chosen to sit next to him and play cards at his table. Nana would temporarily draw his suspicion away by reaching beneath the table and leaning back in the booth. A second or two later, she reached her hands up and dropped a pair of lacey black panties onto the table. The man Ivis and the other men at his table balked in surprise at first- not expecting the woman to pay Ivis' perverted joke any mind- let alone actually lay her underwear on the table as an opening bid. Embarrassed and stupefied by Nana's brazen approach, even Ivis forgot his suspicions and let out a hearty laugh. He had decided that was enough and eyed the other three men to make sure that they were also okay with this arrangement. If they were lucky, all of this woman's clothing would be on the table by the end of the night. After all. How many jewels could she win anyways? Surely not enough to earn by her clothing! Little did these men know that Nana was quite good at cards. growing up homeless in the streets, she had mastered the craft of cutting cards as well as reading peoples' hands, as well as visual and verbal cues. At first, Nana allowed herself to lose a few hands and stoke the confidence of the four men at her table. All the while she did this, she watched and waited for the target Kalaus to appear. By the end of the next couple of hours, Nana was sitting much closer to Ivis and he had even been brave enough to place an arm on the back of Nana's booth. She had fed the man cards so that he had won most of the jewels and other possessions wagered on the table. The other three men were less than happy. Not just from losing most of their riches, but also because the less attractive man had also seemingly won the lady's heart- at least for the night. That was when Nana would spy her real target from the corner of her eye. She had chosen this table, this man and this event all so she could manipulate it in a way to bring her closer to Kalaus. She would visibly turn her head and look at the rich man as he entered. Ivis would notice the head motion, his eyes would follow her gaze and chance upon kalaus. "Ah, Kalaus-San! Please, come sit at my table and allow me to introduce you to my lady friend!" said Ivis, confirming the suspicion that Nana had assumed when she had first seen Ivis. Kalaus turned his head to look at and greet Ivis, nonchalantly taking in the beautiful woman's visage next to the fat man. As a many of wealth, he thought he knew the reason why such a beautiful woman was with Ivis. The sight of her panties in the pile of loot on the table only reinforced his opinion as to what type of woman she was. It seemed that tonight, he would be taking more than some of his wealth back from Ivis, but his damsel as well! "Put me in for that game, Ivis. A pleasure to meet your lady friend of course." he would say, smoothly and eloquently adding in a flirtation. Either too dense, greedy or uncaring, Ivis hadn't realized or acknowledge the pass made at his new lady friend. Instead, he pushed off a small portion of his winnings to one of the other three men- the one who had the least left to play with. "Take this and be gone. Being too quick to seize the initiative would surely prove a downfall and draw suspicion to Nana. She had wanted to refill his glass already and add the poison to it, but that would be too obvious. Instead, she opted to wait it out and allow the men at the table to become more drunk on their alcohol and their gambling. She would passively watch Kalaus consume several glass's worth of liquor, never seeming to care whether he win or lost jewels. His eyes were mostly on Nana and by now, even Ivis had noticed. The fat man became more aggressive with his winnings, trying to gain Kalaus' attention through his usual game of taking his riches. je succeeded but only slightly. Kalaus realized the two of them were vying for Nana's attention, yet it had not occured to either man that they had not even asked her for her name. their intentions were quite obvious- a weakness for Nana to exploit in her customary manner. With the tips of her bosom lightly touching Ivis' arm, he was overcome with elation and confidence. He swaggered before Kalaus, boasting that he was more man than the other. An insult, followed by the idea of not winning his riches back, nor winning the damsel, kalaus seemed to sober up. The truth was quite the opposite however. He had emptied his current glass in one gulp and forgot to refill it as he began to mince words with Ivis. The other two men at the table sensed a fight and decided to leave with their portion of the gambled earnings. "Now now gentlemen! Please don't fight!" she would exclaim, but only after she had graciously reached over the table to refill Kalaus' glass as the two men leaned back in their chairs- both to admire her buttocks, but to also continue their argument. While the two men had been arguing, Nana had deftly reached into her bosom to retrieve the vial of poison. So enamored with her body, their own fantasies and anger at the opposite man, that they hadn't noticed how long it took nana to refill a simple glass of liquor. With the contents poured into the glass, she would place it down and then verbally try to appease the two mens' flaming egos with her words of rational. That seemed to calm them down slightly, but neither man sipped from their glasses. They fully intended to win their poker game, to which Nana only won just enough to stay in the game. She began to count the cards and fed them in the opposite direction, to Kalaus. As his mound of riches became bigger and bigger, the difference between Nana and Ivis grew wider and wider. While Earning back more than he had lost to Ivis the night before and then some, Kalaus seemed to sober up and took great pleasure as Ivis' face blanched. The fat man began to take off some of the expensive jewelry he had won from Kalaus on the nights prior, just to pay what he owed in the current game. That was a turning point for Nana. She scooted softly in her bench seat closer to Kalaus, wrapped an arm around his free arm with which he wasn't reaching for his drink. he had actually won quite a bit and was proud of himself. He had never won so strongly against Ivis before. the addition of Nana switching to him was a giddy bonus. He took one full gulp of his liquor cup, downing the whole glass and then brazenly wrapped an arm around Nana's waist as he pulled her inappropriately closer to her. Nana acted surprised and gasped at the boldness, to which Ivis could only scowl at. That should have been him after all, but he had been too shy to actually take Nana by the waist. The effects of the poison only took about a minute to kick in, nana allowed herself to be groped as the victor of the game enjoyed his display of domination over the loser Ivis. It ended abruptly however as Kalaus began to feel the effects of the poison. His bragging stopped suddenly and a look of concern slowly etched across his face. he initially chalked it up to drinking too much, but something just felt different. His eyes widened and his body began to tense up visibly. Nana backed up slowly from the booth "Ar-Are you okay, mister?" she said, loud enough for others at the bar to notice what was about to happen. Kalaus' eyes widened even more and his stiff body tumbled to the floor, spitting his cup of whiskey ice alone with the contents of the table itself. Ivis didn't fully grasp the situation and simply thought that Kalaus had too much to drink and was passing out. Seizing the opportunity to steal back the riches he had lost, he reached over the table as Kalaus fell and began to funnel the wealth into his shirt which barely covered his belly already. "Haha! Kalaus began to foam at the mouth as his body went into convulsions. Nana could guess close enough to what type of poison had been used. It was a type to attack the nervous system while barely keeping the victim alive and aware as possible. For such a wimpy man as matorro, Nana couldn't help but be impressed with his choices in poison. She made a mental note to not receive any food or drink from Matorro or his people in the near future, just in case they wished to silence her about this whole ordeal. She wasn't exactly a saint and Matorro knew that. That was why he had hired her after all. As the bar keep and several patrons of the bar moved closer to help Kalaus, Nana backed away into the crowd of gathering people. She quickly and subtly made her way to the back of the crowd, but only after going to the other side of the table to retrieve her black lacey underwear. A frown appeared on her face. Her underwear was missing, much like most of the loot from the table. That bastard... she thought to herself, leaving the bar while everyone else was too occupied with the sudden drama. With how Nana had played her cards- per say: that was, how she had arranged the poker game and falling out between the two men. She had made Ivis suspect number one. In the same light, she had switched sides and allowed Kalaus to grope and man handle her in front of others to lure the suspicions away from herself. Only the hardest of impartial detectives would bother asking more about the woman the two men had been passing back and forth. All that was left was to silence her accomplish, the incompetent Ivis. he wheezed as he went down the street- suddenly realizing he was a prime target for robbery while holding all of his winnings in his shirt. His belly was exposed as he held the jewels in his shirt, wobbling towards a dark alley to find a box or something to hide his wealth into. There was numerous ways that Nana could deal with Ivis. Simply killing him with her weapons was most convenient, but not most efficient. If his death was ruled by a detective as a related murder, his death and Kalaus' death would be linked and further investigated. She stood behind him and stabbed him in his back on the left side, third abdominal down. The sweet spot. A slow but fatal stabbing. She replaced her hand after a moment, with the first of two bottles of liquor. She shoved the neck of the bottom into his mouth and turned the man's head up straight to allow the liquids to flow down the man's gullet. Alcohol poisoning, followed by a mugging for his wealth he was displaying in a back alley. The perfect cover up for an idiot's night out drinking and gambling his life away. Quite literally. once the first bottle was emptied into his gullet, Nana figured that was likely enough to kill him in addition to how much he had drank already. Yet where was the fun in that? She replaced the first bottle, now empty, with the second bottle and also emptied it into the man's gullet. WC-164 WC Total-4,338

By the time the second liquor bottle was emptied, Ivis' body had already exceeded its physical capacity to hold the liquid. Drowning in his own alcohol and critically stabbed, the man was released from Nana's embrace and dropped to the ground. She reached over him and picked up the whole box of jewels in which her panties resided, then she spilled a few of the jewels to make it look like a panic mugging. She watched the man slowly drown in his liquor, coupled with his internal bleeding until he fell unconscious into the nothingness that everyone eventually wound find themselves. With her work down and her tracks covered, she would travel along the rooftops where she couldn't be spotted easily until she found the alleyway that Matorro had been hiding when they first exchanged details for the quest. He was startled at first when she dropped into the alleyway behind him. He nearly let out a startled cry, but Nana interrupted him by shoving the box of jewels into his chest. "Take these and help your victims' families." she would say. He would nod his head, not looking down quite yet to how much Nana had stolen. "At least let me pay you for your work." he would say and then with one free hand, hand her a pouch of jewels much more meager than the amount she had just given him. With his request completed and her payment made, she disappeared into the shadows once more. Leaving Matorro alone in the dark alley with the box full of jewels. He looked down, both amazed and confused. There was a lot of wealth here to distribute to the victims of his workers. he remained confused though about one particular item on top of the box.
