Seika frowned as he approached the hospital again for the second time in several days. He had been called in for some reason or another and it seemed he was slated to help the goofy ass doctor who seemed incapable of performing normal healing. It was asinine that the man had been giving a practicing license but Seika digressed.

Turning to regard Sho, he admired the fact that even though the lad had been in a coma for the past two years, he had jumped back into the fray to handle business. Quickly re-assimilating himself back under Seika's command. With his recruit back in the fold, Seika had tasked him to working Baska while Seika and Hitomi had moved towards Oak and focused their efforts there. However today he was back in Baska to aid Sho in the mission they were currently on.

Entering the building, they were quickly guided upstairs to actually meet with the Doctor. Seika would stay silent since he was shadowing and assisting on this mission, letting Sho take the lead on interactions.

Sho

A day had passed since Sho had been in town doing work. Well, he had done exactly one job since the day passed. The rest of the time was filled to the brim with training. Sho was no doubt stronger than he had last seen Seika. It was a fateful reunion for him. He made sure to keep himself in check, meeting Seika again he had to show he had matured a bit as well as gotten stronger. Hopefully, this next mission would be combat-related. That hope was quickly dashed as he saw the request come from Gerald again. So that meant more medical work this time around, no fighting, and no bad guys. Well, that was a good thing in the grand scheme of things but it was still a letdown for Sho. He wanted to show Seika what he had gained from the two-year coma. Sho was curious to see how strong his captain had gotten since two years had passed.

Sho approached the hospital where they were supposed to meet. This time it wasn’t Gerald’s personal office located downtown near the shopping district that was more professional. There was no telling what they were getting themselves into this time. Sho made his way into the hospital and made his way upstairs where he was supposed to go. A large, dark-skinned man in white-clad armor stood silent as if he was waiting for something. Sho walked in removing his helmet revealing his now changed facial features with accompanying face markings. “Captain, Doctor.” Sho did everything in his power to not come off as an excited little kid seeing his captain after two years.

“Ah glad to have you both here, you two know each other?”

“You can say that. What are we here for, Doctor?”

“Get suited up in the sterilization chamber and follow me.”

It wouldn't take long for Sho to arrive. It seemed that even through a coma, the young man's sense of timing was still impeccable. Good. Very good.

Sharp golden eyes turned to regard his recruit, the young man issuing a greeting to both himself and the Doctor. He ignored the young Knight not knowing his updated title as he wasn't really a stickler for all of the titles and grand standing. Nodding in return, he'd at least grace the lad with a small upturn of the lips, showing that he had at least learned to show some emotions in the years that Sho had been gone. Turning back to the doctor, Seika would cock an eyebrow as the Doctor began to request that they 'suit up' and head for sterilization.

Frowning at the request, Seika would turn to Sho before sighing and following along. Dealing with this doctor was always one of his least favorite things to do when he was in Baska and it never seemed to change. The man was incompetent even on his best days, and requesting that two Rune Knights accompany him to a surgery room definitely seemed par the course for yet more nonsensical madness. Throwing on the scrubs begrudgingly, Seika followed along to see what they were getting dragged into this time.

Sho

Sho noticed Seika smile as he entered the room. A small upturn of the lips indicated he did miss him in his time gone. Sho was happy on the inside. He hid it very well though following the doctor into the sterilization room where they would both get into some scrubs for the surgery. Sho grabbed a pair of green scrubs and placed them on along with a bandana to keep his hair tied upward and not unkempt during surgery. Seika was being the strong silent type per usual so Sho had to lead this mission, he was okay with the responsibility. Sho liked the idea of being useful in that way. He washed his hands thoroughly before placing gloves on. The doctor was doing the same as well as Seika. The three were prepped and ready for the surgery. The patient has already been sedated thanks to a nurse that was there before the three entered the sterile room.

“What are we doing doctor?”

Gerald smiled under his mask and moved toward the patient's body. He pulled up a scalpel and handed it to Sho. “I guess I am taking the lead on this,” Sho said with a nervous smile under his mask. The doctor took a marker and drew dotted lines where Sho was going to be cutting. Seika had the privilege of watching the whole thing unfold. He was there for moral support at that given time. So Sho got in close hovering over the unconscious patient. Sho made the cut along the line with a firm hand. Sweat building on his face was cut just deep enough to open up the patient's abdomen but not deep enough to cause damage.

Sho backed off and the doctor took care of the heavy lifting, what you thought Sho was a doctor of some sort? No, he was a fighter and a genius on the battlefield. However, when it came to health and surgical processes Sho was dumb as a box of rocks. So he was glad he was able to help in some kind of way. He backed off while the doctor did his job. Sho gave a bloody thumbs up to the silent Seika. Their job was simple but it was done. Sho left the room and put his clothes back on, tossing the scrubs in the dirty bin. He awaited Seika and the doctor. About an hour passed before the doctor finished the simple procedure.

“Your reward is on my desk. I look forward to working with you two again.”

Sho nodded and took his share of the jewel and waited for Seika before leaving.

Silence came from Seika as he essentially followed along with Sho and Gerald. He listened in to the byplay between the two, the doctor explaining the procedure and what he needed from Sho to do. The man had looked back to Seika to give him some sort of orders as well, but a rather stern look from Seika kept that idea firmly in the mans head. Stepping inside of the surgery room, Seika would step back and stand amongst the other observers as Sho took his spot over the patient. The procedure went by relatively smoothly, with Sho being fairly steady with his hands even after being away for so long. It was good that the young man was capable because that meant that Seika could bring him along for further missions. That didn't mean however that the young man hadn't passed the full test. Seika still needed fighters and he needed all of them that he could get.

Giving the young man a nod of approval, he would collect his pay on the way out once everything was finished and would head towards the Knights holdings in the city. There was still much planning to do.
