Khalfani †
Day 1:

Daisia stood on the outskirts of Baska, waiting for her little lord as she gazed at the sky above. Who knows what she was thinking, but it was most likely about what to do next. The woman bit her lip as she swung the key in her hand around on its chain. It was in the dead of night that both her Khalfani had agreed to meet again, exactly six days away from the first time they had met. Then, Khalfani was a slightly different person. The child discovered their true name, their heritage and had acquired a power that they didn't quite understand. Luckily, Daisia seemed to have more of an understanding than they did. Things were happening so fast for the Desiertan child. Now knowing what they knew, it made their mission for Odin a little more complicated. If they were already nobility by birth, that could mean that people were expecting them to migrate to that land. If they were nobility by birth, then Odin's dream of creating a Meritocracy would mean that Khalfani had to forfeit whatever they had inherited. Maybe that wasn't such a bad thing anyway. Khalfani wanted to be as powerful as kings and queens because with such power meant that they could carry out true justice, but now that they knew that idea was something they didn't need to work for they questioned whether they should happily take it. If they did, then the young Desiertan would become an example of the exact type of person that their father wanted to eliminate.

Knurn would be better off as a ruler. Not only was he the heir to the thrown, but there was a big chance that his views didn't align with Odin's. Khalfani wanted nothing more than to make their adopted father proud but that may have meant neglecting a part of themself that was fully out of their control. Either way, Fiore was an extremely corrupt country. This country had caused harm more than one country in multiple ways and had even endorsed some of the worst decisions made by the magic council. So if nothing else, Khalfani was fine with overthrowing the Fiorian King should the time come. Not just for Odin but for the sake of all people harmed by the most powerful monarchy in the world. There could have been a way to make this work, Khal thought. If they used their inherited power to assist the Wizard Lord, then maybe Odin wouldn't mind if they ruled in a different land. Nevertheless, the Nephilim would have to have a deeper conversation to see where the Lich's mind was really at regarding the matter. For now, Khalfani's only focus was meeting Daisia and finding out what more she had to offer the little lord. Apparently she was going to take them to a place outside of this realm so that they could tap into their abilities. Using their magic has been a hurdle too high to jump over on their own. Khalfani made their way to the lady, practicing controlling their magic as they walked towards her. They closed their eyes and focused their mana at the pit of their core, fluctuating it as it coursed through their body. They could feel the heat from their mana, and they knew then that this was only touching the surface of their control. They thought about how to project their mana, and they could feel that they had a large pool of energy, but bringing outside of their body would be the hardest part. However, being able to control it while inside of them wasn't hard. As long as they could control it, they knew they'd be able to produce spells. This was a basic control technique.

Khalfani †
Khalfani walked through the sleeping city of Baska alone with only their bag full of clothes and some snacks. If Daisia and them were going to be traveling, the hunter wanted to be full prepared for anything. They didn't know how long they would be gone, but they assumed it would definitely be longer than a few days at least. The Rune Knights would be fine without them, considering they hardly had any noteworthy capabilities. There were Knights like Shichiro, Hitomi, Jove and their older brother Knurn who had intense magical abilities far more capable of neutralizing a threat if the need to do so ever arose. However, lately there have been no problems to be noted in the west, thank the gods. Hopefully the Magic council would just look past the young knights little vacation. Either way, khalfani wasn't worried too much anyway. Their Griffen who hadn't been named yet flew in the skies above the demi-god as if looking out for any enemies who would want to harm her master. Although the Griffen was a random surprise, Khal couldn't say they didn't enjoy her company. She was overprotective of them even though she wasn't truly capable of defending them. Eyes forward, the knight eventually made it to the outskirts of Baska, continuously keeping their own mana fluctuating within them as they did. It was like working out a muscle. Slowly but surely, as they continued to fluctuate their magic, they could see their body glowing. Excitedly the young Knight smiled but as soon as they did the glow disappeared. Dammit, they thought. Khalfani continued on until they saw a woman covered in a white cloak in the distance.

Khalfani †
One thing about Daisia; she was always going to wear that white cloak. It was a good thing too, because Khal could see her as they approached. She seemed to see the young kid too. She raised her hand and waved before moving to meet them half way. "That's a big bag you're carrying." was the first thing she said. Khalfani noticed that she didn't have any bags or items aside from a key in one of her hands. Then she raised an eyebrow. SHe began to feel the mana Khalfani was trying to produce. The Mage stood in silence at first, focused on getting themself to glow again. "You are trying too hard, Khalfani. It's like raising a finger. Try less." she said. The kid raised an eyebrow, closing their eyes and taking a deep breath in. Suddenly their body began to glow and this time it was much easier to maintain. "See? Mana is a natural part of you." She said, before Khalfani released the glow. The kid lifted their hand and created a small holographic image of an apple made of light. "Look at that. Quickl learner I see. Where we're going, you don't have to rush the process." slightly confused as to how long they would be away. "I bet you have many many questions." she said with a warm smile. Khal nodded. "Yeah, I do. How long are we gonna be away?" was their very first question. They glanced down at Daisia's hands. "Glad you asked. So this key..." She began, holding up the key. Her nails were painted red, chipped away like she had been using her hands often. "This key is a key passed down from my family. It's a special key that allows us to enter a place with a different sense of time." Khalfani raised an eyebrow. They knew she wasn't talking about the astral plane because time wasn't different there from their experience. "A year there is half a day here." Khalfani's eyes widened. How was that possible? How could time move so much slower there? "So if we're gone for a days, it's actually two years." Daisia nodded. "Exactly, which is enough time for you to get a hang on your magic and your other abilities." Khal nodded. "Okay then, let's go." they said before Daisia nodded. Quickly she turned, causing the wind to raise her cloak. She placed the key forward, chanting words of a different language before the key began to glow. Suddenly white energy began to expand from the key until it created a rectangle door of energy. The woman turned back with a smile before stepping inside. Khalfani took a deep breath, then also stepped inside.

Khalfani †
Month 3:

With a yawn the Desiertan woke up and sat on the edge of the bed. This place was beautiful, having only one home and surrounded by nothing but trees and other wild plants. Surviving here was fairly easy for the third month thanks to Daisia's knowledge of the place. It was peaceful here and easy to be. Khal didn't feel rushed or under any sort of pressure, they just felt...free. There was a never-ending body of fresh water all around the land. As far as Khal was concerned, this was the perfect place to spend the rest of your life if a person wanted peace. In fact, this was free land. You could start an entire village here. Of course that would probably mean that at some point you'd have to kill people to regulate the population, but hey- not too far off from Earthland. The young Desiertan put on their pants, boots and shirt before walking outside of the house where Daisia had been waiting with an apple in here hand. No words were spoken because Khalfani knew the drill. Daisia tossed the hunter an apple which he bit into before their fortieth training session began. Khal didn't feel the effects of the training on their body yet, but they would after this one.

Khalfani †
"Good morning, my lord. Are you ready?" Khalfani smirked. "I told you to stop calling me that." they sighed. "You have to get used to it, Khalfani. There are people in Desierto and Savannah waiting for your return and they will call you Prince." Khalfani shook their head, running their fingers through their hair before tossing the apple on the ground. The ground would cherish the apple and it will be used as Fertilizer for the days to come. "Back to where we left off?" Daisia nodded. So, the desiertan lord stood still, focusing their energy into the pit of their core before forcing it outwards. For an entire month Khalfani had been conditioning their body to create a skin of light around them. This would act as a defensive shield, but it wasn't that simple. For some reason it was a lot harder for the spell to materialize than they both initially thought. Magic was never Khalfani's strong suit. Their masters said it was forbidden for them to practice, which made sense. Why would you want your slaves to practice an art used to defend themselves? It was a way to keep Khalfani weak and obedient, and it had worked. Now thought, they were feeling the effects of that. They were behind on magical comprehension compared to the other mages they worked with.

Khalfani †
Month 5

After hours of trying, Khal dropped to their knees. For a simple spell, it shouldn't have been this hard. Perhaps they were inherently weak or maybe they weren't meant to practice magic. "Don't worry, little lord. In time." Daisia insisted, but The mage punched the ground beneath them in frustration. "Dammit! I can't even get something this simple right. How am I supposed to help rebuild what thousands of people have lost because of me?!" Khal boasted angrily. People were counting on them. Daisia shook her head and walked towards her lord, kneeling before placing her hand on their shoulder. "It wasn't because of you. It's not your fault, do not think that way, Khalfani. We have time. Only half an hour has passed on Earthland. Come on, let's eat dinner." Khalfani sighed, stood up and tried again. This time they focused all of their energy and formed a shape in their mind. This was not over, not this easily, they thought. The idea was to imagine that the spell was covering your body. It was the same way Khal had told Erebus to imagine the shape he wanted to create to conjure a spell. For some reason though, it was't working. After a couple more attempts, the Desiertan gave up. One way or another they were going to get this whole thing right, no matter what it took.

Khalfani †
Month 8

Finally, after long hard months of physical, mental, magical and definitely emotional training, Khalfani was finally beginning to see results. Along with Daisia, they were down by the water. An aura emanated from their being covering their entire body. The sorcerer stood proud of themself, glaring at Daisia who held their gun. "You ready?" she asked. The young mage nodded. Then, she pulled the trigger. A small bullet zipped through the air hitting the aura but not able to penetrate it. The Aura absorbed the impact and the bullet, causing it to melt into nothingness quicker than it came. Khalfani smiled, happier than ever once they realized the shield worked. Daisia smiled too. She was happy that her lord was happy. "Look at that. I told you everything happens within time. Now it should be a lot easier for you to use defensive spells. Defensive armors are significantly harder to conjure, that's why it took you so long." She said. "This is...amazing. I feel like nothing could hurt me with this spell. Come on Daisia, wanna give it a go?" The desiertan said confidently. The woman simply laughed before shaking her head. "Nope. We're saving that for the end, little lord. Once you've completed your training and have a good grip on your powers, I'll fight you." She said. Khalfani chuckled before releasing the spell. Then they walked towards Daisia who put a comforting arm over their shoulder, taking them inside the house to make dinner. Soon Khalfani would be strong enough to actually do what needed to be done- whatever that truly meant. For now, it was time to get stronger.

Khalfani †
Month 11

Days went by slowly here. Which of course was a good thing if Khalfani was finally going to have a hang on their magic, but for some reason the young Desiertan continued to feel like they were missing out on what was happening on Earthland. Of course only a few hours had gone past. Everyday both Daisia and them ate vegetables. Vegetables and fruit for breakfast, vegetables and fruit for lunch, and for dinner also vegetables and fruit with some fish sprinkled here and there sometimes. There were no animals aside from the ones that lived in the water. The Desiertan royalty woke up, got dressed and met their trainer who had also been their loyal subject outside for some training. This was the seventh month. Khalfani could easily conjure a shield around themself, and they were pretty good at managing their magic, but today was about physical training. With all that was happening with their body, it was important that they continued to condition it to withstand all of that power just floating around inside them. With only another year until the end of their training session, Khalfani was pumped up. When they first arrived it took them months to feel like they were getting anywhere, but now...now they felt like they were growing stronger by the day. Using magic was easier now. Khalfani focused their energy and caused magic to surround their body like a shield. It had become simpler. As they walked outside they extended their hand forward, attempting to shoot out a meter but nothing happened.

Khalfani †
As they stepped strolled don towards the water where they trained almost everyday, they cursed under their breath. Dammit. While they had one spell down, conjuring a complete meteor seemed like it would take a little push. Perhaps it worked like summoning other than conjuration. Since it was a meteor then perhaps t meant they were actually taking one from outer space. Khalfani had time to figure it out though. When they finally moved through the small woods and reached the sea, there Daisia was, waiting for them with a smirk upon her face. Unlike the other days, today she wore combat gear. "What's going on?" the brown mage asked, rubbing the boogers out of their eyes. They had no gear on, no weapon. They weren't prepared for a fight at all. "Today we do hand to hand combat." She said. Khal's eyes widened. They had asked for this day months ago. Just as Fani began to open their mouth, Daisia darted forward, not giving them a moment to prepare for what was to come. She kicked off, darting forward and lifting her knee to connect with Khalfani's stomach. The sorcerer was lifted into the air as saliva spilled from inside their mouth. Daisia then kicked Khalfani into a tree. The kid sorcerer brushed themself off and remained on their knee. Lifting their hand to conjure a meteor. They focused all of their energy and suddenly, a meteor shot forward towards Daisia. "Good!" She said, swatting the ball away before darting forward. Khalfani's eyes widened as they were surprised to see it had actually worked. Now the fight was on.

Khalfani †
Month 19

Khalfani stood in front of the lake, geared up and ready to fight. Their hair had grown significantly longer since the first month they were hair and they had grown significantly taller. Though their body was still lean and they were still pretty skinny. They even felt a lot stronger since the first month. Confidently, they waiting with their gun on their waist for Daisia. Today, Khal was the one up bright and early. The eagerness to fight and prove themself was evident in their entire demeanor. As the Desiertan stood, they heard footsteps trekking through the  small woods until Daisia had been facing them. Daisia cocked her head to the side, scrolling up ad down Khalfani's get up with her eyes. The woman then smirked, shifting into battle stance almost immediately. Khalfani knew tat they could probably never beat her, but that wasn't the point. The point was to show her that they could hold their own now- at least for a little while. With a smile, Khalfani placed their hand forward, summoning a small meteor that shot itself towards Daisia. The Desiertan woman darted to left, dodging the attack. However, upon the meteor hitting the ground, it exploded. Daisia seemed surprised at this as her entire right side was caught in the explosion only damaging her armor just a little.

"I see you mastered that spell. Very good, my lor-" Then suddenly, a laser was shooting towards Daisia. With little time to dodge she crossed her arms taking the damage of the spell. Quickly Khalfani leaped forward. This contradicted their overall fighting style, but they wanted to show their trainer how much they've grown. So as they leaped forward, they touched their chest and activated their latent potential, also causing their eyes to glow a vibrant silver color. Daisia smiled. Khal delivered a punch straight to her crossed arms, forcing her back a meter or so. However, that alone was not enough. She quickly grabbed their arm before swinging them towards a tree. Then, she placed her palm forward and trapped them in the air with some sort of box of energy. Khalfani new this spell. She used it on them before. With a grunt, they fished out their gun from its holster and aimed it towards Daisia. The Box shield was strong and usually held up against most attacks. This time it would not. Khalfani released a bullet of A rank strength, piercing through the box and breaking it as they fell from the sky. Daisia smirked, quickly swatting the bullet away. When Khalfani landed, Daisia raised her hands causing the ground beneath them to tremble when suddenly an explosion occurred. Khalfani emerged from the smoke, still standing but their armor badly damaged. Daisia raised an eyebrow, surprised that the young mage could stand after that. Still, she was proud. Khalfani touched their chest, causing a magic circle to occur and causing their body to glow a vibrant moon color. They darted forward and attempted to hit Daisia again but she dodged easily, kicking them into the water. That was game over. Suddenly Khalfani flapped in the water, struggling to breathe. She forgot that he had a major fear of water.

End of Month 24

"Lord Khalfani..." Khal packed their bags, placing all of their items in it with a bright smile. They grew a lot since they had entered this time warped space, but not enough to consider themselves worthy of accomplishing any major feat. They weren't strong enough to go back to Desierto and they weren't strong enough to grow any further in the rune knights- at least not beyond seated Knight. Khalfani was not yet satisfied with their progress. Either way, this was their last day here. "Sup, Daisia?" The young knight responded, finally pulling their bags over their back. "You did well. There is so much left for you to do before you're where you need to be, but you now have a good grip on your abilities. Two years is nothing for a mage with your potential." Khalfani smiled, faking it before patting Daisia. "If I don't get stronger fast, more people will die." Daisia shook her head as she walked through the door, Khalfani following her. She took out her key and pointed it towards the sea. "It doesn't all fall on you. You're only fourteen. Let the elders do what we can until its your time. Its either that, or you speak to your brother." Khalfani scoffed. "Come on, let's go."
