ModificationThe information he'd gotten was correct. Kenzo had managed to coerce one of the local bar keepers to tell him any information he held on the so-called Blood Rune. Apparently, someone that had been part of Kenzo's own guild held it in her posession, hiding it deep within one of the numerous coves of Port Hargeon. Esperia was one of the most powerful witches in the country, but even if they were once guild members, Kenzo still had a mission to accomplish.
He was sure she would understand the predicament he found himself in, right? He wanted to lure the people that had killed Finn with the Runes, a plan Alisa and himself had agreed upon. He could always return it to Esperia after they accomplished their objective.
For now, he believed it was better to say sorry than ask for permission. The Blood Rune had been hidden inside an intricate magic barrier that prevented any intruders from entering the place. The warrior was unsure why Esperia didn't carry it with her, but she must have had her reasons for leaving it here. After all, a couple of unsuccesfull atempts at breaking through the barrier with his physical strength were enough to make him realize there were only a handful of people in the country that could dispell something of that caliber.
Luckily for him, Kenzo was one of them. With a single touch from Masamune, the powerful barrier instantly disappeared, letting the mercenary inside the cove. At the center of what seemed an altar, the Rune glowed in an ominous red aura. Just like the codex of the Grand Library of Crocus depicted.
"So this is a Blood Rune huh?"
