Corrupted Wyvern [Solo][Request]

Making it back back to headquarters after all of the running around he did to keep the peace in Era, Shichiro thought he would be able to take a nice relaxing break down at the bar; but things were never as simple as he would have hoped. As soon as he got back in for keeping the peace, he was immediately task with an urgent request. He was suppose to meet up with a fellow named Daragast at the tavern nearby at the military district. Now there was a name he hadn't heard in ages. He remembers having a long conversation about the state of Era a couple years back but he never knew what had happened to the little fellow. For now, he wouldn't worry about it and decided to head to the tavern to see what the little fellow wanted. If he remembered correctly, his client was a is a dragon-like creature who has been around the city of Era for a long time. He currently serves the Magic Council and contracts anyone that is capable of taking care of issues that need to be taken care of, according to him. When his trust has been gained after completing a few of his requests, he is more willing to share the difficult tasks. Shichiro liked the sound of that as he placed his hands into his pockets and heading out of the headquarters of the rune knights. Wearing his signature attire of a yellow button down, shirt, black pants and a navy blue jacket, he made his way towards the local tavern of Era in hopes to meet his client once more. Making it to his destination, he entered the tavern and looked around the area to see if he could spot his client. He was one of the few demi-humans that inhabited this town so he shouldn't be too hard to find.

It was a pretty crowded place today of mostly humans but he had hoped it would be a little easier to find his client in the midst of this noisy rabble. Shichiro's mood had begun to sour, as he couldn't really deal with droves of people all gathered together like this. Most people become belligerent especially when drunk and always seem to manifest courage from out of thin air. Unfortunately, his job required him to be present here today so he continued to walk further into the bar, in order to find his client. it took some time and some searching but in the far, right corner of the bar, Shichiro spotted his client sitting alone with a mug in his hand with an extra seat open right next to him. he must have been keeping it empty for him as they were expected to meet. Approaching it, Shichiro took a seat next to the small creature, currently taking a sip from the mug his was holding. Looking at Shichiro from the corner of his eye, the small dragon didn't say a word only raised his hand in order to call the bartender over to him. The bartender asked Shichiro if he'd like a drink to which Shichiro had declined since he wasn't really here to buy a drink. His client, Daragast, however insisted that he should get a drink as it was his treat and he'd probably need to feel somewhat good before hearing the task details he was about to lay onto Shichiro. Well, if he was paying for it, who was Shichiro to decline a second time though, he wouldn't get an alcoholic beverage as he did need to do a job after shortly after this meetup afetr all. Getting a non alcoholic beverage, Shichiro turned his head towards Dagarest in hopes he could get the rundown for this quest while he waited for his beverage.

Knowing Shichiro was ready, Daragast took one last sip from from his mug before giving him the run down of what was going on. A group of cultists and other dark organizations have become more prominent and willing to take risks. They had sought out to capture a rare and legendary creature known as a wyvern. With this new drive, a group of cultists have cursed and corrupted a wyvern which they had previously captured. Their intention is unknown and will remain so as they were slain shortly thereafter by the same beast. The beast now currently rages through out the lands near Era and even sometimes attempted to even attack Era but is fended off by the local Rune Knights stationed here but never enough to deliver a decisive blow and the creature always manages to escape with minimum injury. Unfortunately, the same could not be said of the people guard this town and so there were always casualties. Shichiro nodded his head as the drink he ordered now arrived and he took it with his right hand, bringing it to his lips to take a sip. His client continued on to say, they weren't able to hurt it very much but managed to wind it down enough to the point where it could be captured. At first they wanted to attempt to save the poor beast and study what effects or rituals it might have gone through to see if there was any way to reverse the process. They had discovered many things but the one they were most disappointed in was the fact the wyvern was too far gone in order to revert it back into its original state. The only option they had now was to put it out of its misery and hoped it had a good afterlife instead.

According to him, they have it locked up and were trying to put it down in humane ways but it seems to resist all kinds of treatments it was given. Eventually, the wyvern had recovered enough to start putting up a fight and break its shackles binding it to the holding cell designed specially for it. Now nobody dares go into it unless they were strong enough to quell the beast. A few volunteers tried but in the end they failed and most of them didn't make it out unhindered. Some of them even lost their lives to the corrupted beast. Now we're hiring people with a good enough reputation for going into heavy situations and making it back out alive. Well, this does indeed sound like a job for Shichiro to take and probably enjoy. Lately things have been lackluster so he wouldn't mind a challenge every now and then. For now, he'd just take a lrge gulp of the drink that was brought for him before asking him to describe the creature as best as he could so he could have some idea of what he was up against. His client responded with the wyvern being a blood-crazed five meter, tall winded beast with a ten meter wingspan corrupted by agents of cultists who hoped to manipulate the wyvern to their will only to succumb to the enraged beast in the end. Since then it has occupied the peak of the Era dungeon attacking citizens and Rune Knights alike when it finally escaped captivity. That was the best information he could give and Shichiro was fine with that now that he knew what it looks like and where it was currently located. Taking one last large gulp of his drink, Shichiro finished before standing up from his stool to head out of the bar.

He got the information he came for and it was time for him to head towards the Peak of Era Dungeon in order to slay the beast. It was unfortunate they couldn't find way to cure but if they did, he'd be out of a job right now. For now, he made his way out of the noisy bar started to immediately head to the last known location of the corrupted and enraged wyvern. According to his client, he'd have to go to Era Peaks and scale the mountain in order to get where it was. It'd be a long and arduous climb but he had to do it in order to get to his target objective. Transforming into his full werewolf visage, Shichiro began to dig his claws into the rocks with his hands and feet and begin his ascent up the mountain of Era peaks. He should have taken the normal route up but he was told Rune Knights and Civilians that were seen travelling nearby would be attacked pre-emptively by the flying creature and didn't want to be at a disadvantage as he currently didn't have the means to hurt a creature taking flight while trying to attack him. Maybe if he was lucky, he could sneak up on it and try to take it out in one shot. He heard it was resisting most lethal ways of death and hardly got hurt when the Knights struck back towards its antics. Maybe they just weren't adequate enough with the force of their spells and weapons. Another possibility was they couldn't hit the beast way up in the air. All sorts of theories and ideas on how to kill this creature swam through Shichiro's head as he continued his ascent up the mountain. it was a good thing too considering he was afraid of heights.

Making it to the plateau above, Shichiro decided this was good place to catch his breath. Even if his transformation gave him enhanced physical capabilities, it was still tiring scaling a thirty meter cliff at his maximum speed without climbing gear. he also didn't know when he'd get another chance like this as he wasn't at the top yet to confront the creature. Catching his breath, he continued his ascent towards the very peak of the cliff where he was told the wyvern would be. It seems there was a second plateau where h would spot the wyvern immediately, perched in a makeshift nest that it had seemingly dug out. It looks like it was recovering from its recent attack on the city of Era. He wasn't sure why the reports say the wyvern seemed to be unaffected by their attacks as it looks like it was pretty banged up but nothing too serious. This just means it can be hurt and slain with a little bit more pressure. Shichiro wasn't really much for stealth as he began to charge towards the wyvern that hadn't notice him climbing up the mountain. With his large, heavy foot steps, Shichiro had of course alerted the wyvern to his presences but seeing as how he was now twice as fast as the beast, he was able to catch it before it took flight, slashing and piercing its left wing with his claws. That onto of the damage he had just dealt made sure the wyvern was unable to fly for the most part. Now it would be a straight toe to toe battle between two beasts. Growl, Shichiro unleashed a bestial roar towards the wyvern to which the wyvern had returned to him in kind. Running towards each other, he noticed the wyvern was fast but not very resilient. In a manner of speaking.

Clashing with the said beast, the wyvern snapped at Shichiro with its large jaws. He then noticed another thing about the wyvern as it wasn't very strong either just barely managing to leave a scrape on Shichiro's tough werewolf skin. Well, all the excited had immediately drained from Shichiro's body as he let out a noise akin to a sigh using his right claw, he managed to swipe at the wyvern's left eye. This caused they wyvern to howl in pain as it began to let go of Shichiro's arm. Now it was time to deliver the final blow as he was trying to finish this up as quickly as possible nd didn't relish in the suffering of those undeserving. With one more decisive blow to the neck, Shichiro's stabbed his claws into the wyvern, while twist its neck clockwise in order to kill it quickly. With that, the deed was done. he wasn't sure what to do with the corpse and decided it would be best if he left it here and went back to er to report his findings. Still he was quite disappointed at how embellished the story was or maybe, he had grown far stronger than the average mortal and maybe he should feel proud of his achievement. Regardless, he travel back towards the town to the same tavern to see if his client, Dagarest was still present. Unfortunately, he had stepped out soon after Shichiro left and he decided to tell the bartender to leave a message for him if he came back. He had told him to say the job was done and he shall have some knights on their way to retrieve what was left of the wyvern in order to further study what might have happened to it and the foul magic that has caused it to act this way.
