WORDS: 602 |  CASUAL KIDDO

What is going on here? The amber eyes of a young flashing as she blinked at what was before her, having only been in the town of Magnolia for a matter of months thus far, Aisha Connors found herself a little confused by what she saw. An eleven year old girl who had been brought to the land by her mentor, many of the customs she witnessed seemed strange to the young mind of a lass who had become accustomed to life in a Desiertian Ranch, but that didn’t mean she disliked the place entirely. Fiore feeling far more festive than the land that she was used to, filled with folk who seemed good natured and kind compared to her home, from what she could tell far fewer people here had to worry about going hungry or being threatened by the attacks of bandits and other forms of villain, making the place feel more relaxed.

Tiny flags, upon ropes? The brow of the bronze cutie tightening as she spied people seeming to walk along the street with charming looking items that seemed to flutter and flap in the wind, though the young girl from the desert was still exploring the new place that she called her home, so far she was enjoying what she saw. Not entirely sure of the functional purpose of the bunting that was being strung up by the people of Magnolia or why they were suddenly seeming to want to do this, as she watched the way those items danced in the breeze as she stood and watched what was going on, Aisha couldn’t help but smile.

Shiny balloons? They look like solid gold… Reminded of the extravagant places she had travelled to with Mr Jack as she saw the steady erection of such festive items, the mind of Miss Connors was filled with the image of the Desiertian Capital which she had visited to not long after meeting her new guardian, and despite the troubling associations of that memory she couldn’t help but feel a little excited. Those tall walls that protected the grand city allowing the people within it a far greater feeling of safety, things seemed so much more extravagant under the protection of the Shah’s, with the streets and buildings littered with gaudy items meant to reflect their wealth and power.

It’s like a wonderful dreamland… Perhaps some wiser souls seeing this as a waste and a prime example of the disparity of resources between the rich and poor, to the young eyes of a girl who had only ever seen sand, patches of grass and cattle, it seemed like a dreamland. Barely having seen a piece of gold in her whole life and nothing that glistened as brightly as that which decorated the streets of the capital, the radiance and charm of that and the fine silk flags made it look like another world to the young woman, like she had walked into a realm fit for beings beyond mortal concerns.

Is perhaps the king who rules the land coming to visit? This perhaps the impression that was wished to be instilled by the men who ruled and protected the rare and prosperous cities of Desierto, the splendour was something that Aisha doubted she would ever forget and she found herself reminded of it in this moment. An innocent soul really who had never even attended a real party, she would never guess this was an occasion to mark the birth of anyone other than the ruler of the land, and especially not a person who was only a few years younger than she was…

“Well, well, well, who do we have here then?”

Having been peering at the practice that she did not quite understand so intently that when a voice behind her spoke she yelped and practically jumped in the air with fright, after turning around with a rather red face and her pulse pounding, Miss Connors found herself looking upon someone much larger than her and instantly felt intimidated. At least for a moment or two.

“I-I sorry, not meaning to snoop?” Feeling suddenly out of place of course because of her spying that she had been doing, the colour that shone from Aisha’s cheeks only grew more intense as she looked up toward the face of the blonde man and tried to apologise to him, the thickness of her accent on the broken Fiorian she spoke only made the girl feel more out of place as she studied the reaction of this well-dressed man. The clothing of the stranger only serving to make her feel more and more anxious, her parents had warned her that people with good clothes usually had a lot of money and more often than not a bad attitude, so the youngster expected stern words and probably a smack. However, she received neither.

“Ohohoho~ No need to fret, little lady!
If looking was a crime then we’d all have to walk around with our eyes shut all day, wouldn’t we?”

A large hand drooping down to the head of little Miss Connors and making her tighten her fists into balls because of her apprehension, rather than a strike she instead found her black hair being patted, and blinked as she looked up to see a slightly scruffy looking face smiling down at her. A little confused given what she had expected but at the same time relieved, the hands of the mocha madam relaxed a little as she glanced toward the face of the fellow and then away from him, still feeling rather out of place but at least glad to have not been shouted at. In fact the words of this odd man not seeming to have any ferocity about them, they sounded almost soothing, like those of Mr Jack’s.

“Besides, it would be nice to get the perspective of a woman’s eye on what we’re setting up!
So tell me, young Miss, what do you think? Does it look good?”

The stranger that she had met in the street seeming to be as down to earth as the man who had saved her and brought her to this country, after setting down the bag he was carrying the blonde man chuckled and moved his hand to the shoulder of Aisha, stooping down to bring himself to her level as he spoke. It was a small act but one that made him seem more humble and approachable, the little Desiertian blushed again as his face drew closer to hers because of a hint of shyness, but appreciated the gesture all the same.

“It look… It look s-splendid!” Struggling to find the words in the Fiorian language to reflect her enjoyment but when she discovered them Miss Connors speaking with a sense of sheer sincerity, after looking over the extravagance that was being built the bronze youngster couldn’t help but smile and speak candidly of her enjoyment, conveying her pleasure despite the childish way in which she was capable of speaking. It really did look good to her, and apparently, her confessing that fact made the man smile too.

“Splendid, you say? Heheheheheheeheh!
Excellent, excellent… It’s my daughter’s birthday party, you see?
She’s probably about your age, I suppose, so it’s a good sign that you like it, I’d say!”

The man seeming to appreciate the candour of the caramel gal despite the barrier of language, he gave a gentle rap to the head of Aisha in response to her generous assertion, and she could easily see that this was no show that was put on for her benefit.
She is a lucky girl… The face of the fellow lighting up and his eyes seeming to mist over for a few seconds in which the Desertian Delight assumed he was thinking of his little girl, she couldn’t help but feel a little envious of the child of this stranger in that moment, though more because of her own longing to see her parents again than because of the lengths he would go to please the girl.

“Such magnificence… For daughter?” This well in excess of anything close to the celebration she had been given by her mama and papa, she couldn’t help but express her disbelief at such an idea in a murmur, having herself only been used to getting maybe a cake and a new dress or something on the anniversary of her birth. Parties something that seemed a foreign concept for such an occasion, she had never celebrated in such a manner like this before and even if she had, Miss Connors knew she would have traded every piece of bunting and fancy that had decorated them and every coin spent to please her in exchange for one more loving hug. She missed them so much, even now.

“Oh well maybe I am going a little over the top, she is only seven after all, but why not?
Family and friends are your real treasures, so why not treat them as such!”

Not even meaning much for the man next to her to really pick up on what she had said really but the sharpness of his ears detecting the words of the Desiertian, Aisha was glad to see that this affable fellow took little offense to her words and instead opted to share a little wisdom with her, shrugging away notions of expense and excess as he spoke of more important things that one should always keep in mind.

He’s right… They are certainly treasures. It perhaps a sickly sweet sentiment to share but one that the bronze cutie certainly approved of, though Miss Connors had seen and been dazzled by the extravagance of the capital, she certainly had things in mind that she would rather spend any wealth she gathered upon, if she could. No amount of gold and gems giving one the ability to buy a single second of extra time with the people that you loved, if the caramel cutie thought that amassing all the money in the world would bring her back to her parents then she would certainly make an effort to gather it all, but she knew it didn’t. Even her small number of years spent on this earth teaching her that, the time she had was precious, and she was glad to hear that someone else felt the same way that she did…

“Come to think of it, there’s still quite a bit to set up, so if you don’t mind helping an old man out, there might be a slice of cake and a party bag in it for you?”

The two sharing a moment or two of silent sweetness as presumably each of them thought of whatever they had found to love, when next the blonde spoke to the bronze youngster, he seemed to ask for help and that was something that even a little girl like this one was all too eager to offer.
“O-Oh, um… Yes. Yes, I help!” Perhaps moved by the sentiment that this stranger had shared with her and eager to assist him because of it, as the man straightened up and looked toward her, Miss Connors nodded eagerly in assent of his aim.

“Heheheheh, excellent, so does my little helper have a name then?
It would be most untoward to refer to a young lady like yourself by ‘oi, you’ or something of the ilk, now wouldn’t it?”

The blonde beaming at her offer of support, after lifting his hand up and scratching the stray pieces of stubble that decorated his chin, he asked a rather natural question.
“O-Oh! My name is A-Aisha!” The conversation continuing up to this point with near participant really having a clue who the other one was aside from their appearance, as the dark Desiertian realized her error in this regard she was all too eager to correct it. Squeaking as she recognised the failing and her cheeks growing a little rosier because of it, given the fact that she had become accustomed to needing to introduce herself, the Fiorian of the foreign femme sounded a little more polished as she offered her greeting.

“Aisha? A pretty name for a pretty girl then, heheheheh!
And I am Medias, a pleasure to know you, Aisha.”

The man for his part seeming amused by her name and smiling back at her with words that were enough to make a young girl’s cheeks grow even brighter, after she looked down and shuffled with a slight sense of bashfulness the young woman found herself with the palm of the man as he offered her the customary greeting between peoples that seemed near universal in the world.

“N-Nice to meet you…” Lifting her hand a little reluctantly despite that fact, perhaps because she was a little girl shaking her hand with a stranger whom she had only just met, Aisha couldn’t help but feel a hint of discomfort about the deed in spite of how common it was. Fortunately this man seeming to bear her no ill will for the hesitance however and grasping her hand gently as he gave a greeting of his own, it still felt weird to the mocha madam to find herself shaking the hand of a grown man even if she did go with the gesture, being rather unaccustomed to being treated in this way by an adult. Certainly still rather used to be considered a child by most people she met, while it was a show of respect that the girl expected that she would one day acclimatize to, she still couldn’t help but feel a little awkward in the act and keen to get things underway because of this…

“Soooo, still plenty to do here, what to you wanna get started on, partner?”

Medias seeming to show little ill feeling despite the manner in which their handshake had gone, as the two of them set about their job, the man turned to his new helper and asked her what she wanted to start with. Plenty around them getting busy with the tasks that needed to be done for the little shindig, as tables and benches were carried about and placed across the streets by men, Miss Connors hummed and scanned the scene to see what needed to be done and found a target all too quickly.

“Hmmmm… T-The flags on rope?” The odd things that lurched from the houses and lamp posts still not quite seeming complete as the youngster surveyed the boxes and stuff and found some decorations that were still wanting to be hung, after pulling a festive trail of triangle connected by a piece of white twine from one of the boxes that littered the street, Aisha held it aloft for her partner to look at and hoped he would say yes. These the first things that she had seen when she first stumbled across the party preparation, maybe it was because they caught her eye or because she wanted to feel like something she had hung up would catch the attention of other people in much the same manner, but it seemed the best decision for them to proceed in the opinion of this particular party planner.

“Ah, the bunting? Good idea… We can really make the street ‘pop’ once we get it done?”

Not the only one who felt this way either, the blonde man seemed to nod in affirmation of the intentions of the desert girl and moved forward to help her unravel the ream of flags, after correcting the name that Miss Connors had called it of course.
The street will pop? Burst like a balloon? The Fiorian language a tricky thing especially when one was dealing with items and concepts that one did not really know the name of in one’s native tongue, after frowning at the choice of words that Medias had made the girl none the less moved on with their task despite her confusion and unbundled the none too tangled mass before dashing toward the lamp post where the last stretch of flags had ended, not seeming particularly intimidated by the fact that they hung from a spot that was several times taller than she was.

“Are you going to be able to reach up there, Aisha?”

The man with whom she worked not quite having the same confidence that the Desiertian Decorator did when it came to the distance she would have to reach in order to perform her task, after nodding at him the girl showed she was more boyish than her silky black locks might have made her seem as she stuffed one end of the festive trail in between her teeth and jumped as high as she could reach. Naturally the vaulting distance of a ten year old far less than what one would need to reach such an impressive height but the girl nothing else if not resourceful, the second that she felt gravity pull down on her Aisha wrapped her arms and legs around the firm support of the post and gripped it tightly, not even breaking her stride as she began to shimmy upward with all the speed and efficiency of a trained seaman as she clambered up something most might have written off…

“Magnificent~!”

Lessons in tree climbing proving more valuable than the average schoolmaster might have conceded when given the example of the clambering Miss Connors, in a short space of seconds she had gone from standing on the ground to hugging a steely stem between her legs and arm as her free hand wound the object she had brought up with her around the post, whilst her grounded partner praised her from below. Perhaps it proving a good thing today that she hadn’t chosen to wear one of the cute dresses that Mr Jack had bought her as she hung in the air and used the help of her teeth once again to tie the knot, after checking that it was plenty secure by tugging on it firmly the mocha monkey let out a breath of relief and then slid back down to the ground before dusting herself off, playing it cool despite the fact that she actually quite enjoyed the attention she had received for her acrobatic act.

“Looks like I can’t be letting the team down now, can I?”

Medias seeming rather impressed by what she had done and eager to show off himself because of it, despite the gasps of passers by the man seemed to show little caution as he replicated the deed of the Desiertian, dashing to the next post and then vaulting his way upward to repeat the act. More energetic than she might have expected given his age and the pristine condition of his clothing, the jumping power of a grown man and more importantly the long reach of a man’s arm proved invaluable as he grasped one of the ‘branches’ that came off the post to lift himself up, showing far less ‘art’ in the deed he performed than Aisha but succeeding all the same.

“Hehehehehe, next me!” The task of decoration almost becoming a game between the pair after this, with a giggle of amusement in the slightly ungraceful manner in which the man returned to the ground all too eagerly did the little lady snatch up the rope from the man and proceed with the plan, replicating her climb from earlier and finding the task of tying the rope much easier now that they had a firm start. Wrapping it around post after post in turn to secure the festive stretch, one of the party pairing finished their job the other shot off to carry out the next phase, and all too soon they had put up all of the bunting that was left in the box. And in what felt like record time, no less.

“Not bad at all… Miss Aisha. What next, boss?”

Both of them a little breathless by this point because of the fervour with which they had hung the flapping flags, once they were done and given a chance to catch their breathing a little the blonde looked up with a big grin, wondering what they might busy themselves with next.
“Hmmmm… I think… Balloons.” The choice of course rather easy now that she had gotten into the swing of things, with a little playful pause and then a smile the youngster directed them to their next task, which would be a grave matter indeed… No wait, when are Balloons that?!

“Huuuuuuuphooooooo!” The war on dreariness continuing as thin skins of rubber yielded to her mighty lungs, Miss Connors watched as a bright green sack over which she had her lips pursed expanded more and more, before turning her attention toward the man next to her. Medias performing much the same deed as her but his choice of inflatable hot pink in colour, as their gazes met one another a sense of amusement transformed to carry a slightly competitive atmosphere about it as the challengers stared at one another, then began to take the competition seriously.

Huffing abounding between the pair, there was no time for words as Aisha and the adult fought for victory in this most sacred of competitions, each of them finishing their first balloon together but the war far from over. The harmony continuing as they reached for another round in a contest that had more of a marathon feel than a sprint, the victor would likely be decided by the person managed to inflate the most balloons between them, and so they began to puff with a pace that even the biggest and baddest wolf might envy as neither wanted to offer an inch of advantage to the other in this battle of ample exhalation.

Not yet! I can do this… Naturally the larger lungs of a man providing a certain kind of advantage to the older and more experienced competitor in a challenge such as this, one should never underestimate the zeal and energy of youth for a single second, with Miss Connors more than making up for any shallowness in the volume she could ventilate by exploiting her vigour and technique. Air flowing through her nose and into her system before being blasted back outward and into those straining skins, while it was perfectly reasonable for either of these epic contestants to take a breath or two less in their acts of inflation in order to provide themselves with some meagre but growing advantage, neither seemed keen on the notion.

Blowing the balloons up to their fullest, it felt too much of an insult to the game itself for either of the duo to cheapen their so called victory with dirty tactics, integrity was key in this contest. Neither of them wanting to give an inch or let themselves down, it was a battle between men of the highest calibre, even if fifty percent of the participants was an eleven year old girl. And so, with their lungs burning and hands lunging for a fresh bag of rubber in which to deposit the air from them, the duel continued until one of them had been proven the winner.

“I-I did… Did it!” Practically wheezing by the time that she grasped for that last balloon but a moment before the larger and stronger hand of Medias reached for it, with no shortage of satisfaction and perhaps even a hint of smugness Aisha proved herself the victor in this battle, but really, the true winner was the game of balloon blowing. Neither holding a grudge and a fine contest fought between challengers from very different backgrounds who had earned one another’s respect, it was a contest that would echo through the ages as the fans of this sport talked about this epic clash. Or it would have been, if that happened, but sadly all they were doing was blowing up party balloons, and no one ever really paid much attention to that. They did have a lot of fun though, which was nice.

“Looks like… Whew… Looks like… That’s the last of the decorations now?”

The balloon battlers paying the price for their exuberance once the contest was over, as Medias panted and tried to maintain his bearing as an adult after the epic clash, Miss Connors herself had to confess to a little struggle with breathlessness as well as the duo looked around themselves. The bunting hung and balloons bobbing up and down from every lamp post whilst streamers swayed in the wind on ends of tables, banners and paper lanterns adding a touch of excitement and elegance to the fray as a sea of cloth covered countertops could be spied as far as the eye could see, the job was nearing completion but that didn’t mean the duo were done just yet.

“Just the food to bring now really… Good job, the guest of honour will be here soon?”

The old man with whom she had spent her day letting out a long sigh of relief to see his task over and done with for the most part, after he had checked his watch, Aisha could see a hint of excitement in the face of her new friend as he looked toward her with a slight glossiness on his brow. Clearly rather eager to see what his little girl would make of the efforts of himself and the people around him, it was a sweet sight to see really for the youngster, recognising that same look of affection in his sentimentality that she remembered from her own parents and feeling a little of her tiredness melting away because of it.

“Better… Get ready for her, then?” Turning her head to see the people who had helped them set up for the job now ducking in and out of the shops nearby with their hands full of trays, while the items atop these surfaces made Miss Connor feel suddenly quite hungry because of how delicious they looked, she knew this was no time to be thinking of her stomach. The joy of a little girl like herself at stake and in a way even more importantly the happiness of Medias tied to the occasion as well, despite the ravenous pangs that the mocha madam felt, she forced herself onward and joined the bunches bringing finger sandwiches and sweet treats toward the tables.

It all looks so good! All to quickly finding her hands laden with foodstuffs of such delectable quality that she could barely take her eyes off them, with a grumbling tummy that she almost had to wilfully suppress the lass continued with her work as her ‘partner’ slipped away from view. More than likely needing to get ready to bring his little girl to the occasion since it seemed like she hadn’t arrived yet, as she moved from the shops with trays in her hand Aisha couldn’t help but scan her surroundings for sign of Medias and his daughter. Curious as to what she looked like but sure she would be an absolute cutie, though perhaps she had a tiny bit of envy toward the girl for the party she was to receive, the Desiertian Delight also hoped she would enjoy what she found. Both for her own sake, and her father’s…

“H-HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”

Joining in a chorus that echoed through the streets with a slight stammer due to her surprise at the sudden cry, as Medias and the little cutie he called his daughter laughed aloud from a table at the front of the crowd of counters, Miss Connors noticed the people around her lifting their drinks up high and did the same.
She IS pretty cute~ Imitating the custom as the girl of the hour or maybe the day shone with colour in her cheeks, as the caramel gal had predicted she was indeed pretty adorable, especially with the gaps that showed in her front teeth from the recent loss of her baby chompers. Clearly enjoying herself and with good reason, it was nice to see that both the birthday girl and her papa seemed to be in high spirits, and the sight also lifted the heart of our young heroine.

Finally, I’m starving… Not even minding the fact that she was sitting with people she had never met before as she looked at the pile of food that had been stacked up upon her plate, with no shortage of metaphorical relish and a perhaps a little of the real stuff Aisha tucked into her grub with the same level of vigour she had shown when completing her jobs prior to this. Stuffing sandwiches into her maw as if she had never been fed and half choking when she tried to eat a slice of some form of meat pie in a single mouthful, after hacking for a moment or two and sinking down a bit of drink in order to soften the lump that clogged her throat, the mocha madam found a chorus of laughter that she could only join in with.

The folk around her seeming to chortle at her fervour but in a fashion friendly enough that it did not make Miss Connor feel too out of place or self-aware really, as she heard comments about how cute it was or how maybe she needed to slow down just a little bit, the gluttonous girl blushed just a little and took her the advice of the latter.
“Mmmmmm…” Slowing down a bit as she continued her meal and savouring the food that she shovelled into her mouth that little bit more because of it, the desert girl gave a soft mewl of enjoyment as she munched away, enjoying every morsel.

It tastes even better than it looks~ Finding the flavour of Fiorian foods far more appealing than the meals that she had been given back home, while Aisha knew that her mother and father had done their best to provide her with decent grub as she grew up, it really didn’t compare to what she could eat on a daily basis now. A land of peace like this far more able to spend time perfecting the little things in life like the culinary arts, once again the new home of our heroine seemed to come up trumps over the land of her birth but with good reason, one supposed. Never truly able to hate the place that she had come from because her memories of Desierto were so closely tied to the sense of affection she had for her parents, it seemed that after such cruelty in a young life the new realm in which the bronze cutie found herself was something of a blessing, as if she was being rewarded for the hardships she had endured or something of that sort…

“Heading off, my dear…?”

A simple pair of words stopping Miss Connors in her tracks as she moved away from the party with rather a well stuffed stomach, though her ear for Fiorian voices was still somewhat meagre given her inexperience in the country, the girl knew exactly who to expect from them even before she turned around. Turning slowly on the spot as she felt a little bit like she had just been caught with her hand in the cookie jar, as she looked around to see the smirking face of Medias waiting for her, the caramel cutie still felt the need to explain herself as he faced the man once again.

“I… Um, is becoming late… My uh… Mr Jack will expect?” Feeling perhaps a hint of guilt in the fact that she had tried to quietly slip away without saying goodbye, though it had seemed the right move given how busy the man had seemed to be with his daughter once the festivities had begun, it still pained the girl to confess she was leaving. The pangs in her heart striking hard and then again as she tried to clarify the reasons of her departure, while initially she almost made the mistake of referring to the mentor who had brought her to Magnolia as her father or something similar to that, she quickly corrected herself. For one reason or another finding a discomfort in the idea of referring to him as such even if in several ways it was true, while she doubted that her guardian would be too fussed whether she called him it or whether she didn’t, it felt important to keep that distinction up all the same.

“Heh, of course… Well I’m glad I caught you at least, Miss Aisha.
I wanted to thank you personally for helping me out today, and got a little too caught up with things before this…
Oh, and here!”

The blonde fellow looking rather tired by this point and also humbler for one reason or another, after running his hand back through those golden locks and then patting her on the shoulder in a gentle and fatherly manner, he plucked something from his pocket that she did not expect. A small pouch made from soft leather swaying from side to side in front of the man, after a second or two of silence, Miss Connors picked up upon the idea that it was being presented to her and took the item up, immediately feeling rather surprised by the weight that she felt in there.

What is this… Money?! Something within the heavy bag seeming to clink and grate subtly as the young woman took the item into her hands and fidgeted with it, almost immediately the mocha madam guessed the contents of the purse because of that and the burden it presented to her, but she still felt the need to open it up and check. The strings that bound the top easy to unfasten and all too soon Aisha finding herself staring at a gathering of discs that shone with all the brightness of balloons that had caught her eye earlier in the day, almost in a sense of disbelief the girl looked toward Medias in confusion, expecting him to tug it away from her or something as she found more confusion at the gesture than appreciation…

“Hehehehehhe, a nice little party bag for a hard worker… Wouldn’t you say?”

Medias not tugging the coins back as if this was all some silly prank but rather chuckling at the confusion that was shown by Miss Connors, though his words and manner were as soft and gentle as ever, the girl couldn’t help but feel a little overwhelmed by the gesture she had received.
“Oh, um, t-thank you…” The manners with which she had been raised eventually managing to kick in as the bewilderment of the bronze cutie continued, she couldn’t help but look between the offering and the man who gave it to her with an enduring sense of disbelief, as if she was dreaming or something.

“It seem a lot… are you sure?” The collection of coins more than most children would get in their allowance for a good few months, though a girl who had entered the country with no more than the clothes on her back as possessions could certainly use a boost to her cash flow, she still felt rather hesitant about accepting it. Appreciating the kindness that the man was showing her but on the whole rather bowled over by it, Aisha couldn’t help but offer the purse back to the man shyly, her face bright red as she did so. Never taking up this task out of anything more than a desire to help this friendly fellow and see his party be a success, and the mentioned reward of some cake of course, she felt almost greedy to be paid for such a thing. After all, all she had done was run around and blow up balloons, that didn’t feel like something that deserved anything close to this return. However, it seemed the host of the party felt differently.

“Nonsense, nonsense! The people of Magnolia know how to show their appreciation for a job well done… Come on, you’ve earned it.”

Medias seeming to see nothing wrong with giving up this gold despite the smallness of the task that the youngster saw, he shook his head quickly as the pouch was pushed back in his direction and wrapped his hands around those of Miss Connors, lightly easing the gift back to her with a smile.
“Ummmmm… O-OK… If you are sure?” Clearly not wanting to take no for an answer as he presented the youngster with his token of appreciation for his work, while the mocha madam still felt a little awkward about accepting the coins for the meagre deed she had done, because of the fervour of the fellow who offered it she accepted it albeit somewhat hesitantly.

“Of course! Buy yourself something nice, OK?
And, keep your eye out for the next party! I’ll need a capable girl like you the next time I try something like this!”

This most definitely earning the approval of the man as next his hand had moved from her own and into her hair to scruff it up a bit, with a big grin looking down upon her and such a friendly gesture shown to her, Aisha felt herself relax a little as she tucked the pouch behind her back and nodded at his request. Certain to help a man like Medias whenever she could and never expecting an ounce of reward for doing so, he seemed like a good guy and for her that was enough…
